'Would you spend £145k on a Honda?': Yes, in a flash if I had it. A supercar that looks great, drives great, and won't spend most of its time broken down in the garage. What's not to love?
I mean even for the unbelievable performance, drivetrain quality and price tag, Honda is not a premium brand after all (altho it’s sold under the Acura brand in the States - it’s not premium enough) well I guess it’s THE NSX after all...
The reason it’s a Honda is exactly why I would spend money on, so I can be sure that I won’t have to constantly repair it after a year, unlike some other brands

Pute Vasiliauskas overpriced, maybe. Overrated, no. a used NSX right now in Germany cost around 130k, which is 911 991.2 turbo S money or AMG GT R. Would you see 911 or AMG GT once in a week? So, 130k for a used NSX, a car which will hit 60 mph under 3 seconds, and has a unique hybrid engine is not a high price to pay. It’s a horrible price for a mediocre car, which may have been overlooked by branding but it’s a fucking Honda you dipshit. No one pays a premium to own a Honda, their build to be affordable and reliable, not luxurious and beautiful. This car looks nice like a hot wheels car looks like. Cheap and an overpriced toy. Still don’t believe me cause ur a fucking idiot? Look at the Nissan GTR, the closest car to this one, it’s priced 80,000$ less and has far more functions and capabilities than this. My imported S660 is Honda number 15 for me. One day I'll have an NSX. Had a Beat for 12 years. Super reviews. This car is awesome. Have seen a few in the flesh. Head turner for sure.
Fed up with the badge snobs £145000 for a Honda. This is a performance car which is on a par with anything else with a similar price tag and will probably be a lot more reliable.
Ryan Wilkins Exactly and the tech in this goes way beyond anything else af a similar price point. It has similar tech to Porsche 918 hypercar. Better in some respects for instance SH-AWD is world leading
I like the NSX. I prefer the older ones but this one has grown on me. Now they need to bring an Accord R, Integra, and S2K back. This car could have been done better on the interior. Another MR car would be cool, like an OSX; a hark back to a cheaper, affordable MR layout car; v6, no turbos, lighter weight. But man, gotta love the NSX, I wonder if there will be a Type-R version?
9:40 it's a great car because it is a Honda . 0 to 60 under 3 sec . no crazy gas guzzling, large and heavy V8 , V12 . 26 mpg . if it's a Honda it will last and have less maintenance cost . So yes i would buy it because it is a Honda . Hondas are less of a pain in the ass to own .
ik7921 easy answer. Pure jealousy cause they can’t make a decent car. I used to watch all the old top gears from late 80,s through the 2000,s and the brits slated every Japanese car on that show. Come on though look at Jeremy clarkson he’s a proper public school boy from the Victorian days, totally delusional
deadmarch101 hey dude there’s a simple answer to known good engineering and bad engineering.... good engineering means reliability and bad engineering means the total opposite... simple eh...
The Acura US version comes with cupholders. This car is currently selling at around 120k US dollars, here in the US. I think it's a pretty good value for the price.
Still holding same values today 3 years later 😅 yeah I'm eye blue one but out my budget lol. Used gtr is possible or new 6.2l chevy truck. But 120k-200k for blue one in Springfield mo. Lol
It's a Honda car !!! Though interior is very cheap and outdated but still it's Honda !!! So it's reliable and easy to service !!! And it's not like other sports car. I can use this car as a regular car !!! You know what I mean to say !!! It's Honda and that's it !!!! Anytime this car over any other super car like lambo or McLaren !!! It's Honda !!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The interior shows that just because you can create a fast engine doesn't mean you can deliver a complete "supercar" experience. European automakers still have the edge in terms of design.
That's because most fashion designers come from Europe and the rich loves design and fashion over performance. That's why the original NSX was so popular it did compete with Ferrari for less money. Maybe Asians just like performance over design, who knows. But this machine is expensive and they should have added premium materials for the international market.
NaThaN - CS:GO not really. The interior of the LC 500 is very well built, but to me it's not nice. When I look at the whole dashboard, something doesn't sooth my eyes, the design is just odd. Beside, the LC 500 is a different class so cannot compare head to head here.
European automakers make a fancy dashboard but the technology is outdated and to me the Audi R8, Porsche 991.2 interiors are drab and from the late 2000s, Honda has been different just like they did with the first NSX
To be fair, I’m pretty sure Honda just didn’t care much for the interior. Honda does great interiors just fine on their regular lineup. The Accord, for example, is quite luxurious across the trim levels, especially considering the prices. The NSX’s interior is, believe it or not, actually outdated compared to even the Honda Accord or Civic. Especially that infotainment.
Cool vid! 1:00 The paddles you'd want to feel premium as hell, I can get that. Honda dropped the ball there. But some of those "cheap" feeling interior trim plastics last waaaaaaaaay longer than the posh material used in most luxury cars. And they also withstand abuse much better! 2:00 There are extra cupholders that you can click into the slot in the passenger footwell. That's what the slot at 2:45 is for.
Saliya Lokeshwara Honda is the least known motorcycle brand, least reliable, most expensive, underperforming, least sales, and Honda didnt start as a motorcycle company...
Kitsune Ken im pretty sure honda is one of the most reliable brands there is where you can easily get off with really low maintenance. And it is true that they were low on sales on the previous years but they are making a pretty huge comeback with the new africa twin, the cb1000rr and the new crf line up
Saliya Lokeshwara i was being sarcastic lol! Honda is still the largest bike seller globally! I had a super four, cb50 and a zoomer and loved it all! Also had a yamaha but Now i have a kawasaki. I think honda cars just put its funds on its new engine design and quality rather than fancy materials that actually isnt touched by anyone always. Like i dont even care if my car have a dashboard made of cheap plastic as long as i can ride it home for decades without problems.
The price may be questionable for this car but knowing that you're buying a supercar from Honda. A company that is still known for reliability. I think it is worth it.
Hi, I think he is at Millbrook proving ground, where they normally film, but it looks cold, and said -2c on one shot, so wondered if it was filmed a lot earlier. I could be wrong though :)
zakelwe That's a good shout, but I don't think it's at Millbrook. Many of times when testing cars maps I've noticed it's literally besides the M25 near Surrey
I just checked with there other video on the Nissan GTR ua-cam.com/video/Qf5cVuHiDjo/v-deo.html and that has the same opening shot and that is filmed at Millbrook as you can see some of the famous corners where Autocar etc film. So I am still puzzled when this was filmed!!
2:47 there should have been a cup holder in the glove box and that clicks in there. The space you were putting the cups into before weren't exactly cupholders 😂
The slot in the center console (passenger side) is for the cup holder bracket - see owner's manual. A cup holder in the center console is really in the way of the driver's arm (elbow).
Seen Through Haggis been thinking the sameI still don't think I'll buy one. Unless it's really a bargain and I doub't it because of the number of them produced
I wonder what was wrong with the dash, It really looks nice. So, what's wrong if it has a Honda batch? It will be more reliable, and well built than European cars.
The slot on the passenger side is for a cup holder that comes with the car. It has a part that locks into the slot and can be popped out and stowed elsewhere. Odd, but functional. And you can tell people you drive a Honda, then roll up in this.
Thanks for your video. I find it funny though how so many people find fault in little things in this great car like they did the original car. But, you find fault with all the cars you review, but, you didn't remind audience that this is first car in 10 yrs, while competitions and yrs to fix and improve their flaws. And comparing a normal version to a R8 V10+ a tweak on a normal R8, etc
5:27 Mat, is that what you come up with, really??? How long do you really think it takes to defrost that glass with that decent sized engine....really?..............plus, what NSX owner takes it out when it's freezing?? we all know that's the most reliable super car on the market without a shadow of a doubt.
If it was a different badge I think you'd behave differently. Honda goes through a lot to make their machines. I challenge you to make one, and then make one as refined. You can beat the price point?
Would I spend that on a "Honda"? Absolutely!! You say "Honda" in a denigrating fashion. Let's keep in mind that the average daily commuting Honda is superior to most any car in terms of standard features, performance and most importantly, reliability - FAR superior to any British car ever made. Here, you have a supercar that provides a supercar experience, is attractive AND isn't going to HAVE to go back to the shop bi-annually. A Honda.....YES!!!
I love the fact it is a Honda as well. Every badge whore trying to put this car down because of the competitors in its "class". Haha they don't like the fact that a "basic" brand such as Honda produced a more powerful, faster and exotic car.
Exactly. It has always been this way with Honda and other Japanese brands. Ignorant double standards and arrogance. I say leave them behind anyway. Just like the original NSX was underappreciated, it'll take 15 years before the masses realise what a car this is

So don’t open your mouth again u fucking donkey
borna asi damn so hostile, why so mad? 😂😂 look up specs about the NSX, 0-60 under 3 seconds, has 50-50 weight distribution, all wheel drive, etc. Sounds good to me, and yeah it’s unique and reliable so heck yeah I’d own one too
I love how you open the glove compartment and you pay homage to the legendary Ayrton Senna.
The moment I saw Ayrton Senna on the glove box, I thought of the original NSX driven by him so incredibly and swiftly, Legend!!
What a truly stunning car, but as always I get the impression that this channel is sponsored by the German car industry...
Indeed!

it is the top gear "heritage"... you have to trash the car before you say that it is amazing in the end
@Brian Anxieton no toyota keeps old tech because its reliable and test proven.
the japanese dont make cars that directly compete with european cars. Its not as good as say lambos, mclarens, etc
My imported S660 is Honda number 15 for me. One day I'll have an NSX. Had a Beat for 12 years. Super reviews. This car is awesome. Have seen a few in the flesh. Head turner for sure.
Its worth it because its actually reliable.
Btw 7:30 actually scared me.

Why? Mediocre acceleration scares you?
it's violent
Fed up with the badge snobs £145000 for a Honda. This is a performance car which is on a par with anything else with a similar price tag and will probably be a lot more reliable.
Ryan Wilkins Exactly and the tech in this goes way beyond anything else af a similar price point. It has similar tech to Porsche 918 hypercar. Better in some respects for instance SH-AWD is world leading
Wrong *Correction: "Better" than anything else with a similar price tag.
Mark E I stand corrected!
@Mystkal Diamond if you pick up girls based on the price of your car you're not picking up girls, you're picking up hookers. Sad!
Lexus is more reliable

Easter Eggs and a tribute to the legend who made this car what it is! ❤️

It could be bin
Better than Audi or Porsche, and that instant power is great for daily drive.
The best looking sport car with the lexus LC 500.
Why do British always makes fun of japanese car (calling honda manufacturer of boring hatchbacks)?
ik7921 Because the UK doesn’t have even one auto brand. Land Rover? Indian car. And all manufacturers will give up British in 3 years.
ik7921 easy answer. Pure jealousy cause they can’t make a decent car. I used to watch all the old top gears from late 80,s through the 2000,s and the brits slated every Japanese car on that show. Come on though look at Jeremy clarkson he’s a proper public school boy from the Victorian days, totally delusional
le m don’t act like you know something about engineering thicko
deadmarch101 🤪
deadmarch101 hey dude there’s a simple answer to known good engineering and bad engineering.... good engineering means reliability and bad engineering means the total opposite... simple eh...
So no one's gonna acknowledge the subtle Senna homage at 2:27? That was good.
Never would have seen that😅😂
2:55 it's probably for some extra cupholder attachment
I’m loving these carwow videos, Matt is so funny, he points out these little bothering things that no one would notice other than the owner
Lol
7: 39, "Service Overdue"! Pay for it Matt
2:24 Ayrton Senna 🏎🏎🏎❤❤❤

Minh Pham Lexus LC 500 for a 100K interior > anything
8:15 That is fast OOOOFFF
7:30 when vtec kicks in
Lol
These kind of reviews make us informed customers ...thank you Carwow

@@christianbaraquia8788 cool story bro
And why tf didnt he say motorbikes
Saliya Lokeshwara Was looking for this comment, Honda make incredible motorbikes.
Lol yeah those Honda bikes really fast!
Don't underestimate anyone's inventions. Respect and admire.
Huh?
Underrated comment
The price may be questionable for this car but knowing that you're buying a supercar from Honda. A company that is still known for reliability. I think it is worth it.
"Would you spend 145k on a Honda?" - stop being a brand snob, lol. A 911 may be better in some ways but not as unique.
145k!!!!! What!!! Thats expensive but unique too
Yeah a 911 is way better
@@kristians2704 I would get nsx
@@hunter1x the NSX is more unique but the 911 is actually better
I’d take the NSX over a 911 or Taycan *IF* it had a nicer interior...

I like the old Honda from the late 1990s...an absolute classic..!!
3.2V6 and 276bhp...!!!
Lovely..!!!
Lol, hey anton :D, and nice :), the classic NSX is indeed a great classic too :)
The car is expensive because of the engine and the electric engines....i bet that car runs so well
how long ago was this filmed? Been sunny in the UK for the last 4 weeks!
zakelwe Not in Glasgow where I live!!!
zakelwe he is in Germany I think
I don't care if people say this car is a bummer to the old one. This car will forever be my dream Supercar.
Just a year and a half late Matt but appreciated nonetheless.
this car is absolutely gorgeous, and has immense performance. that in itself is worth the price tag.
The slot in the center console (passenger side) is for the cup holder bracket - see owner's manual. A cup holder in the center console is really in the way of the driver's arm (elbow).
Something tells me these will be a bargain on the used market in a couple of years.
Seen Through Haggis been thinking the sameI still don't think I'll buy one. Unless it's really a bargain and I doub't it because of the number of them produced
Zack Smith I seem to remember about 8 years ago you could get an original NSX for about £14,000 before everyone went crazy for them.
Just think still expensive though. You can get much cooler stuff for those discounted nsx prices
Seen Through Haggis They'll have fallen to bits by then :-D
I wonder what was wrong with the dash, It really looks nice. So, what's wrong if it has a Honda batch? It will be more reliable, and well built than European cars.
2:55 this is for cup holder, when u buy a new, you get a cupholder in glovebox, which can be attach n detached at this place
2:20 he said a8 instead of r8
Aryton Senna
Mansour Q. Glovebox Senna
Thought so, was wondering who that was
nah not Aryton...
The slot on the passenger side is for a cup holder that comes with the car. It has a part that locks into the slot and can be popped out and stowed elsewhere. Odd, but functional. And you can tell people you drive a Honda, then roll up in this.
Imagine the exterior and the performance were combined with the interior of Lexus lc 500
That Lexus LC500 is one of my faves at the mo. Just the infotainment that let's it down but who really cares about the radio etc engine sounds great.
This is so underrated, this amazing car does not get the respect it needs just because of its community.
2:22 Airton Senna 🇧🇷🚘♥️
What tho car needs is a 2 year facelift- more standard stuff, Apple carplay etc, alcantara dash and alcantara steering wheel
TJK Alcantara is available but it's a higher option like most supercars.
5:27 Mat, is that what you come up with, really??? How long do you really think it takes to defrost that glass with that decent sized engine....really?..............plus, what NSX owner takes it out when it's freezing?? we all know that's the most reliable super car on the market without a shadow of a doubt.
the toyata supra really failed. it would've made the japanese super car trio with the NSX & GT-R R35 but the supra looks like a GT-86 lmao
Yeah I agree, I don't know why they teamed up with BMW when they have the Lexus RC platform and engine...
7:28 Not for the faint of heart
i love how the service overdue light comes on for a split second
It’s the “I’ll race you in my Honda” car. I mean, it’s not a lie, it’s still a Honda (or a Acura)

I say "better" in terms of driving, having had the experience of driving all three,911 Turbo just feels dynamic and fun
Why so much hate about Honda ? I didn't see anywhere so much criticism about a super car...Honda the best...Japan the best
It is overpriced
They should redesign the whole interior. But I think they already released a fecelift without interior changes.
2:50 is were the cup holders go
They just snap in
I love how honest he is with his reviews.
I think that slot is there to attach a cup which comes additional and it can be used as a cup holder for the passenger.
Just like the original NSX was underappreciated, it'll take 15 years before the masses realise what a car this is
John Smith preach brotha!!!
Facts!!! if this had a Ferrari some people would be taking their pants off.
