@Cyrus79 That’s just a complicated fan rule I’ve heard years ago, prior to the release of Smash 4. Whether they’re qualified to appear in Smash as a fighter has nothing to do with in-game class. It has to do with who is unique and who can capture the essence of the Fire Emblem franchise in Smash. Several of the Lords are similar to another. Genealogy of the Holy War does not play like the rest of the Fire Emblem series. Sigurd, Seliph, or Leif would fight similarly to Marth, Roy, or Chrom, hence they’re redundant. They can’t come up with a unique play style. The sword Tyrfing is too similar to Marth’s Exalted Falchion. Arvis is a villain and magic user and there’s a remix of a song that directly pertains to the most important event in Genealogy of the Holy War. However, the question is whether he can come up with a unique play style, which is what Masahiro Sakurai is looking for. He probably doesn’t have enough moveset potential. Akame: only one character who has a plot armor to live while the side characters are all dead even our mc, Tatsumi, died too. Sigurd and his armies: "pathetic!"
I think this might have been an homage to the Golden Age arc of Berserk in which the King of Midland lured the unarmed Band of the Hawk to a field to execute them.
With Sigurd making a prominent return to mainline FE in Engage, I wonder if the Jugdral games are up for an HD remake in the future. It might be on the last years of the Switch, or maybe on the next Nintendo console.
Ghast has an interesting video on the topic, but TLDR Engage is internally not the game after Three Houses; the project names all have a number for the main series (including remakes), and has only skipped numbers twice. It skipped Fire Emblem for Wii U, which was confirmed to exist before being cancelled. And it skipped the number between 3H and Engage. Given the heavy similarities, plus some very credible leaks from someone who also leaked a lot of stuff about Engage, that skipped entry is most likely a Genealogy remake that they didn't have ready to announce. It likely started development either before or alongside Engage given the numbering, but it would be a lot more in-depth if they give it the same quality of life and especially presentation updates as Echoes.
All things considered the odds that Gen 1 ending being received bad was very high yet somehow it worked beautifully and is one of the best moments in fire emblem history and probably one best video game plot twists out there. Leave it to nintendo to do such risky move and end up working greatly.
You know, I thought about this but until now I remembered it: Holy fuck Deirdre and Arvis were married! Had Kids!! AND WHERE HALF BROTHERS!!! How tf their kids didn't got any genetic anomalies!!!!
Tommy Chuss Hold on, if only Bragi and his bloodline can use the Valkyrie Staff to revive people (which Forseti used to bring Lewyn back), how did he do it?
Kyle most people survived the meteors themselves but were picked off after being weakened. Lewyn specifically was killed by Manfroy to let Erinys, Azel, Ayra and Brigid escape iirc. He was revived by Forseti with Valkerie staff

@@gamechanger8908in arena I used ivy with a fire tome that resembles this spell Sigurd did basically no damage to ivy
@@Octav2000 "Ivy you dastard!"
when IM 8 yo, i played this game on sness with Chinese language ?
and i managed to get many karakter by doing random thing? like try talk with possible enemy
even i managed to completed gen 1, when this scene happen , i fell so sad.. i wannay cry, i somehow understand what happen .. ITS not hard understand this beautiful tragic story' without English patch
That’s actually very impressive.
Akame: only one character who has a plot armor to live while the side characters are all dead even our mc, Tatsumi, died too.
Sigurd and his armies: "pathetic!"
Kazuya from shin megami tensei 1: wanna test this theory?
I think this might have been an homage to the Golden Age arc of Berserk in which the King of Midland lured the unarmed Band of the Hawk to a field to execute them.
Probably closer to the Eclipse, since that act by the king wasn’t as much of a betrayal nor did it kill anyone really relevant.
I personally see Devilman in the whole latter half of part one. With Sigurd representing Akira and Arvis representing Ryo, in terms of the betrayal.
No, Arvis pulled a Griffith.
I can definitely see the amount of loss compares to Berserk.
Just for that many characters to suddenly die...man.
@Wings of Winter I’m not talking about “being used”.
"Enter legendary Sigurd from FE Heroes"
Ah what a lovely barbecue party
His story lives on!
Fire emblem then: Dead on the spot every cut scene.
Fire emblem now: Damn! I've been defeated but I can't fall here I must make my escape!
So many names and titles only to be said only in their history books and no more... After that betrayal~
Dow que videardo más épico broo jaja
buernardium
Jjsjaj esta para llorar u_u
F por sigurd
Yessssss, I LOVE THE TRAGEDY!!!! In a good way of course.
All things considered the odds that Gen 1 ending being received bad was very high yet somehow it worked beautifully and is one of the best moments in fire emblem history and probably one best video game plot twists out there.
Leave it to nintendo to do such risky move and end up working greatly.
He dead as live : trust people
1:52 Was like Oh... Shit! 😢
NTR
If the leak is true (and so far it is) then the next game is a remake of FE4
Sadge
I hate being that guy, but anyone know what song is playing at the end, when they’re listing off all the fatalities?
Part 1 Map Medley. ua-cam.com/video/HVEDiI1f9uo/v-deo.html
You know, I thought about this but until now I remembered it: Holy fuck Deirdre and Arvis were married! Had Kids!! AND WHERE HALF BROTHERS!!! How tf their kids didn't got any genetic anomalies!!!!
One question though... HOW did Lewyn survided that Meteor-attack? Where was HE?!
Tommy Chuss Hold on, if only Bragi and his bloodline can use the Valkyrie Staff to revive people (which Forseti used to bring Lewyn back), how did he do it?
@@kirschitz64 Considering that Forseti was one of the dragons I'd assume he'd be able to use the Valkrie Staff.
Kyle most people survived the meteors themselves but were picked off after being weakened. Lewyn specifically was killed by Manfroy to let Erinys, Azel, Ayra and Brigid escape iirc. He was revived by Forseti with Valkerie staff
@@noishhater9138 Azel and Ayra's fate are unkown
I thought it was Forsety living in Lewyn's body?
Shit is this how the game ends? I just got into fire emebelm and only made it as far back as the GameCube
Read the title *gen 1 ending*
The next part is their kids
This is half of the game.
Is there any other ending ? Can we save him ?
This is the end of book 1. Book 2 is the campaign of their children (or replacements if your units died/didn't marry).
There are no other endings for book 1.
@@FriedChikun Less replacements more hero's Sigurds son and Quans son recruit, they actually have more like backstory and character I think due to more events for them to boost them.
Nope. Gen 1 only has this gutpunch of an ending. Sigurd is unique amongst FE protagonists in that he dies as part of his story (and stays down for good).
@@silver.64 And Chrom also dies (in the original timeline of Awakening, which the first level premonition takes place in).
@@TMX1138 yeah but he doesn't STAY dead as part of the story. The canon ending is that he lives. Sigurd has no such luck.
Ugg please HD remake this and Thracia
RAW
Sigurd dies in fire emblem assassin’s creed and Vikings what is this dies in other universes
But he gave me a Silver Sword in the Prologue, how could he be the bad guy? 😂
Imagine if Engage ended at Chapter 21 with Alear dead for real, and their companions massacred by Dark Veyle and her hordes of Corrupted after Sombron used the Emblem Rings and raised Gradlon!
Im still asking to myself how Geneology isn't an overrated game, like this is GoT level of writing; i also hope they take parts of the manga into the (lets hope it's real) remake
not to sound elitist but todays casuals would be so butthurt about this lol aint no casual mode when arvis bbqs the entire party
The butthurt ruin everything
Peter Blake you definitely sound elitist
You definetly are elitist and wrong to boot.
As a casual, I personally like this ending. It’s really unique, I kind of want this again
I understand what you mean in the sense that some people may feel angry their units 'die', but I feel like a modern audience could adapt to the story adequately.
great 👍; bis bis …
if only the newer games didn't go the dating sim route and actually had the balls the wipe whole teams fe would have been so much more interesting
you say this in the game that revolves around marriage.
@@liahknight56 Well in FE4 the dating sim actually makes sense because of the two generation thing. whereas in modern FE (except Awakening), the dating sim is just shoehorn in there to pander to fans.
They should be doing both, imagine everyone's shock then
@@McBurn86 You know the dating sim thing is only in fates if you're excluding awakening. The other games just have paired endings.
Came here since I didn't played this game but I heard about this infamous act. Just curious to see.
This...... If it was some grunts and soldiers that died here, it would be ehhhh, alright. But princes and princesses also included in the body count? That would've left a lot of major power vacuum in its wake. At best, he should've rounded up the royals just to have a leverage against any other kingdoms or countries. Who even thought that THIS was a good idea?
If Price was here, he would've hunted the bastard to the ends of the earth. If Kerrigan was here, she would've burned the entire continent to the ground.
Alvis' plan is to take over the entire continent to put an end to war, so why would he let very influential and powerful people that are against him live? Your premise makes no sense. If you ever play the game you'll understand the motivations of the characters and the overall plot.
...sir this is not Starcraft.
Spoilers XD (don’t care I won’t play this one)
You should, why would you not?
You should though, it's one of the best Fire Emblem games
pussy
Play it.
Better than *ALL OF FATES*
Graphics look so bad and boring
