Nicolas Sanchez Nope. "The identity of his father is left ambiguous, so it could be the archer Wil, the Pheraean cavalier Lowen, or the Caelin cavalier Sain."-The Fire Emblem Wiki.
I just realized how crafty it was on FE4's part about the way the good VS evil legacy stuff is handled. Diadora of course having the blood of both Narga and Loptous can have her offspring be the reincarnation of either, and Manfloy manipulates this to have the reincarnation of Loptous be installed as emperor under the premise that he's the reincarnation of Narga instead, turning Narga's own legacy against him. And oh look, he and Alvis accounted for Sigurd being a Spanner In The Works, had him deemed a traitor, everything. But even when accounted for, Sigurd was successful at being a SitW, simply by being heroic. By sending Serlis away to safety while fighting Grandbell's forces head-on prepared to die without clearing his name successfully, Sigurd ended up hiding Serlis's existence until it was too late for the Dark Sect to do anything about it. I don't know what Sigurd DID realize that could have helped if he got his name cleared successfully, but as Alvis saw fit to execute him and his people on the spot, Sigurd could not even be forced to provide information like Serlis's existence. Basically, the bad guys had shot themselves in the foot and Sigurd got the consolation that his legacy was celebrated and his son had successfully finished what he had started.
What I find sad about that chapter was if you have any of your units paired up with each other, then they'll talk about how that battle might be their last. I haven't finished this game yet, but I got up to that part and was like "oh... they know that they're going to die aren't they?" The whole chapter was just so sad and foreboding.
+Winds Symphony Especially interesting is Claud's conversation with Aideen if she's his wife. He straight up says that when he was at Braggi Tower, he had a vision of this event. He knows what's going to happen and that he's going to die, but also tells Aideen not to come with him because it's not part of her fate.
+Forklauncher I think I had Adeen paired up with Azel. But that just makes this chapter even more sadder. I was playing this off of an emulator on my phone, and I lost everything when I switched phones. But knowing all of this is making me hesitant on replaying through this part just to finish the second half.

The story of Jugdral really is a dark but also a wonderful written time in Fire Emblem. No other game could keep up to the feeling you have in those games. One thing I noticed while replaying Holy War lately was one line during the storytime before chapter 7. Obviously: Spoiler warning for those games. It says that all companions of Leif beside Finn, Nanna/Jeanne and himself have been killed by Freege. This technically makes the end of FE Thracia 776 even more tragic. Especially because it is one of the harder games. It really gives you "end of the world" vibes and even after you've been through all this crap most of the characters you loved in FE5 ended up being killed. And that's most likely not a case of "this wasn't planned" like it's the case in FE7. The prequel of FE6. (Missing characters like Lyn or Ninian etc. With Ninian being the most suitable canon wife of Elliwood. Some things are contradicting like the name of Elliwoods child which is always Roy even if your tactician isn't Roy and you get the ending where Elliwood wants to name his child like your tactician.) There are some optional events in Holy War who foreshadow things which are present in Thracia. Like the fake Shannan and such. Of course some things are still missing like the mentioning of Reinhardt for example. Probably it's because he died in Thracia but most likely because he didn't existed in FE4s story development. In the end it would be another bad ending which actually never happened/isn't a bad ending. But thinking about it remembers me how cruel those games can be. Especially Thracia. It even gives you a hard time after you thought you reached a happy end.
In the original idea for the game, Azel had a much more expanded role. There were going to be three acts. The second gen story would have been the third act, while the second act would have shown what happens after the death of Sigurd's army. In this original version, Azel ended up leaving right before the massacre. As one of the sole survivors of Sigurd's army, he would try to raise a liberation army against his brother, but would be declared a traitor and fall out of favor (the people liked Alvis at this time.) Eventually, Azel would try to have a talk with Alvis in person, but would be intercepted by Manfroy and basically put in stasis. He would be discovered at the end of act 3 by Seliph and would be awoken, getting to live a somewhat-happy ending with his kids, who would likely be around his age. Sadly, this all got cut, and Azel lost his protagonist role and got much less screentime than he deserved. They also planned to put him in Thracia 776, canonizing his wife as Tailtiu, but that also got cut.
Sigurd's army needed a "Seth" is more like it; not for his overall strength, but his skepticism and common sense. For example... SPOILERS ...he called out Orson and told him to drop his weapons before getting too close to Eirika after returning without Ephraim. You think he is going to be attending any barbecues at Arvis's house?
This series is what got me to take an interest in Fire Emblem. And now I am obsessed with Seisen No Keifu. So I have your series to thank for that. Thanks.
Wow! that was the darkest ending ive ever seen in a FE game especially for one that you cannot avoid to see it >.< ive havent played the Nes series but i know a lil bit of the story since ive made some research on wikia, plus Arvis is the most perverted char ive ever seen in the FE series so far
You know I don't really hate Alvis, I respect and pity him. He had a good idea and for the first few years of the Grandbell empire he did good and was well liked by the people. Remember that Augustria had horrible nobles, except for Eltoshan. Verdane was very barbaric, and Grandbell was a bomb waiting to explode. Basically I respect him for the way he manipulated everyone, only to be manipulated himself, and it's this irony that makes me pity him. Alvis had Sigurd do the hard work and when vulnerable took him out, although the Dierdre part was a bigger dick move. Once Manloy got the Lopt Sect back in power that is when the Empire truly became evil. Alvis became nothing more than a mat that everyone stepped on. FE4 did a great job in making the villains evil and yet have purpose, not just evil for the hell of it. I'm pretty sure there was a reason for Bishop Galle for making the Loptian empire and not just because he was evil.
Sidar Erdem Sigurd, who is my favorite lord of all Fire Emblem, was gullible and trusting. I know Galle was possessed like Julius and Levin, but what I was saying is that there has to have been a reason for him to seek the power. I am assuming the Gran Empire, like all empires, got abusive. Galle probably suffered something similar to Alvis who wanted to help others, but got corrupted by Loptusu and created the Lopt Empire, which probably started out better for people during the early years prior to conducting sacrifices.
Well i don't think Alvis ever really wanted to help the Lopt Sect, but i'm pretty sure there's an interaction between him and Manfloy where Manfloy threatens to reveal that Alivs carries Lopt Blood, and because in Grandbell most people feared and hated anyone with Lopt blood, even though he weren't evil, he'd almost certainly have been stripped of his lordship and exiled if not outright executed, so a lot of his allying with the Lopt sect was largely out of fear. Manfloy may have manipulated his fears to get him to perform out-of-character evil acts but i think Alvis was largely a victim of the Grandbell culture that made him fear becoming a pariah just because of who he was, in that way Fire Emblem has always been great at creating multi-dimensional villains, well until Ashnard came along......
because he regreted that. He bears the cursed and holy blood at the same time so he has always been in between good and bad. He has been a good guy until Manfloy used Diadora to blind him with love and jealosy. he realized that mistake he made and tried to redeem later.
I mean, in the scene before he fights Seliph's Liberation Army, he is shown helping Ishtar release the children captured in the Child Hunts. He's not exactly evil, but he's not good either. He's in the gray.
Yeah the Granbell/Lopt empire always struck me as a combination of different factions, Julius and his acolytes were truly evil: him, Manfloy, Hilda, Dannan and Andre, but there were a faction that were trying to subtly push back against the evil and do some good work from within like freeing the children, i mean a lot of the enemies you have to kill don't seem particularly evil, Liza, Ishtore, Ishtar and Alvis do all seem to be a little wary/remorseful of what's going on, and while Bloom is technically evil i don't think he's malicious in the same way Julius and Hilda are, he seems just to be a weak cowardly man who got led down that road by Hilda. But that's always been one of the strength of the Fire Emblem Series, it did the same thing with Blazing Blade, set the black fang up as the enemy within which Nergal, Sonia and Ursula were the pure evil ones while Brendan Reed was just a tool who got misled by Sonia, and Lloyd and Linus were good people who it feels really shitty when you have to kill them. Making you actually give a shit about the people you have to kill is one of the reasons why the Fire Emblem series always feels like a real story.
One of the first FE videos I watched before getting into FE. I thought the whole series was this dark, but thankfully(?) it wasn't. Jeez, that would drive me nuts.
Levin actually is the incarnation of the God Holsety, Finn didn't fight there and Briggid turned into a swordfighter named "Eyvel" in the Fire Emblem Trachi 776, and then turned into stone at some point. Aideen is living, acording to a game dialogue in the Church of Tilnanogue as a abbess. Thus, the only one who actually survive to reach the Generation 2 is Aideen, because Levin is the god Holsety (you can actually understand his cold and harsh behavor toward the death of Fury and his own kids)
Never forget that Thracia 776, the sequel to the first part of this game, actually made the Battle of Barhara worse because it's heavily implied that the Demon Lords you fight in the final battle of that game are implied to be characters from this game after they died. Some characters did survive, Fury/Erinys ends up queen of Silesia but she dies of heart ache because Lewyn DOES die at Barhara (his body gets possessed by Forsetti, confirmed by his convo with Fee/Phee if he marries Fury/Erinys), Lachesis survives but she goes looking for Nanna and ends up getting turned to stone, Brigid loses her mind and becomes Eyvel. Poor Tailtyu ends up being tortured to death trying to protect her daughter from brother's wife. It can legitimately be said that it was better for some of them to have died at the massacre than having survived. I think the only character who survives but doesn't pay a very harsh price is Aideen who ends up taking care of the orphaned second generation alongside Oifaye.
According to the wiki Deidre, Tiltyu, Brigid, Lachesis, Aideen, Fury, Levin, Finn and Sylvia are confirmed survivors. But Fury, Deidre and Tiltyu died later, and Lachesis along with Sylvia disapeared and are hinted to have died. Leaving brigid (with a case of amnesia), aideen, levin (technically because the forsety revived him) and finn as the only confirmed survivers of Sigurds team.
@arandomguy9 Check out The Strongest Characters In Gaming Ever # 8. I didn't show the entire storyline, but it does all the Alvis scenes of the second half.
@Shadowdahedgie11 @HunterRyosuke Alvis is practically the emperor of the continent. Maybe others have tried to overthrow him before Celice came along, but they were quickly and easily stopped.
so i should mention how ABSOLUTLY LUCKY manfroy and his cult were that Arvis had, i beieve before marrying DIerdre, had a kid with Aida (the person who invites Sigurd over to the BBQ). That kid being Saias who we see in fe5. This is because of the holy blood rules ofr inheritance, pretty much you can only directly pass down a major holy blood once, after that, it will be minor blood (however, as shown by what happens if you marry Holyn and Ayra, 2 minor bloods of the same lineage can make multiple major bloods). and Saias we can infer ended up inheriting the major Fjalar blood. which meant that the highest priority for Julius's inheritance would be major loptyr than the major fjalar. Literally if saias wasn't a thing, the loptyr sect would have probably lost their chance to revive loptyr, assuming Arvis and Dierdre never had a third kid. and also, Arvis's reign before Julius got loptyred iirc was actually pretty damn popular, and so Seliph would not have gotten the opportunity to rebel. in short, Arvis having an illegitimate kid with Aida is the reason fe4 gen 2 gets to happen
Whoisthisgit thank you sooo much for introducing me to this amazing series it has been two years since i watched this video and then started playing these games i have to say fire emblem is one of the best series ever
3:11 "YOU DASTARD!!" Great video, I love this series. Some suggestions of bad endings I would have are: -Breath of Fire IV, were you are forced to kill your own companions on a battle that is impossible to lose even if you want. -Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, there is a bad ending were thousands of people are killed and humanity loses it's freedom because you decided to run away, there is another bad ending were you can't go back on your decisions so you have to start a new game+ .
Levin was killed by Manfroy, then Holsety used Valkyrie staff to ressurected him...(check demo, i don't remember how many times you beat the game to get it)
@Agju That's definitely one I've had in mind. I managed to avoid seeing it when I played the game myself, but I just knew there was a bad ending lurking there. When I saw a video for it on here, it was every bit as depressing as I was expecting. Shame the US version has a really silly spelling mistake that ruins the entire bleak atmosphere though.
Sigurd should have yelled "EVERYBODY ATTACK! FOCUS OF ALVIS!" Because I'm sure as hell he had a quick minute before anyone got squished by fucking meteors or Sigurd himself getting hit by the valflame
@ShadowdaHedgie11 Fin, the knight who left with Cuan and Ethlin at the beginning of chapter 5. He basically becomes their son Leaf's father, and is playable now only for the second half of this game, but all of the fifth game as well. (I think, I've yet to play through it myself)
I could imagine this FE game possibly getting a M if it was released officially during the lifespan of the SNES, or maybe it couldn't make it at all to the states considering that incest is a plot point, and Americans hate incest.
Wow ... I also felt very bad for Sigurd and his troops when i played the game. Though when i heard the "Chapter 6 Soundtrack" in your video, i got chills :p This music is just a "they died but it's not over yet, cheer up !" :D
Azel was among the casualties. He's also Alvis' half-brother. I've read in the comments how he may not have been killed in that specific battle, but STILL... Thank goodness we had at least ONE survivor from the first chunk of the game... that alone made me want to use Finn more as a unit.
@RaceBandit He's an ally at that point, so you can't attack him. Even if you could though, he'll rip your characters to pieces, ending their lives even sooner.
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. We can't forgive one's misdeeds because they meant well, or because there was someone bigger and badder than them.Alvis may've wanted a unified kingdom, but he kind of ended up losing it. And given his actions at Barhara, he might've even been aware who Dierdre originally was. For all the good he intended, he sure did a lot of bad.
Man, I really want to get into the Fire Emblem series with Awakening for 3DS, but I don't have the money to. It's a shame too, I played the demo for it and it was really great =/
That reminds me of the first Fire Emblem or its remake "Shadow Dragon" where you play the game, just to get the Bad Ending with the massage "you should have collect all star items (have forgett the names of it x"D) at this point BEFORE you know that you need them!" Really, i played the game AGAIN after this with a guide to get all x"D
+Blackzero Well, I think Timberwolf mentioned the Starsphere and the Lightsphere, not the Zodiac fragments. The same concept exists in both the originals and the remakes.
@LoafOfPint I had to, because people need to know the events leading to this endings that make it so terrible. Though it did end up taking more time than I expected.
There are quite a few FE games where there is a group of baddies controlling another group or kingdom and using their power to take over. FE7 takes it to the extreme though, Team Nergal(I dont think they have a name) is controlling the Black Fang, who take over Bern to make the whole continent murder each other.
I remember playing through this part in the game.....completely blown away by what had happened. Sure, it's only halfway but dang, you've worked so hard and you feel like everything is set right and THEN you have to watch everyone die. What's worse, it's all because of someone who is supposedly your friend. Well written story, but dang if it's not depressing.
Damn, i thought the plan of Zephiel and the dragons was so incredibly evil, for he wishing to eradicate mankind in a Rau-Le Creuset style, and the ending of FE 7, when old man Athos gives his prophecy, made me feel both chill and excited to see how i can join the actions. But now this video truly showed me what is true "mastermind" and "evil plans" are. Nintendo sure made marvelous games before, but not for the recent years.
It gets even better later on (or well, it was even better before if you could read the intro), because then child hunts start to happen all over the continent to get sacrifices for the dark god. FE 4 is pretty dark, probably the darkest in the whole series.
*upon seeing the first meteor at 3:26 * ... what? ...what!? ...WHAT!? The dread and depression of this... holy shit. I know Fire Emblem (which is also one of my favorite series) can be quite dark, but... this takes the cake. This makes any other dark storyline in the series look like sunshine, rainbows and lollipops. I partly saw this coming since it was obvious Alvin was weak-minded, but I thought there would be some intervention to stop this. I mean... fuck... I'm speechless.
I think Manfloy is more similar to Aizen from Bleach then he is to Frieza. They both know nearly everything about everything and they engineered the birth of a genetic freak of nature that they would later manipulate as according to their master plans.
well is a complex game of war, and im sure he ust wanted to fully explain how these conflicts arose and took over the nations. also, it builds into emotional effect instead of "so his wife gets kidnapped, brainwashed, and later on he dies. the end." this two part video actually puts a lot more impact to the ending.
You've (hopefully) played Thracia by now but since no one else seems to mention it I will for posterity's sake. You don't find statues of the victims of the Battle of Balhalla. Well you find one person who was there but she was turned into a statue during the course of that game not during the battle. It was however an idea they were thinking of putting in mentioned in the devloper's notes.
Brigid got amnesia as a result of Belhalla and was only turned to stone by Veld to be made a Deadlord, which she will if you don't get that Extra Chapter where you save her. The only canon Deadlord that had a name we know was Reydrick.
Alvis would have been hated by everyone had the developers didn't make him 1) somewhat manipulated/ controlled by the Dark Sect and later Yurius and 2) atone at the end, helping us even (the thing with Sigurd and Deidre's ghosts was creepy =_=!). It's the same for Istar. We have enemies who are not all darkness, but they are terrible terrible enough. For the whole 2nd generation, I always think of Yurius as a kid, because he actually has nothing other than the bad traits lol.
I liked these lastly videos of you. I'll play FE again, befeore i got bored for some reason vinculated to the lv up, but don't remenber. Anyway, i was thinking... "what about if...?" And that happen. But they have to create a lot of guys after... Phew, what a story, and you described it very well, really. I was thinking days ago that, Bahamut lagoon was sad, but compared to this is very happy.
Sigurd met his tragic fate again in enduring love voting gauntlet
What I find sad about that chapter was if you have any of your units paired up with each other, then they'll talk about how that battle might be their last. I haven't finished this game yet, but I got up to that part and was like "oh... they know that they're going to die aren't they?" The whole chapter was just so sad and foreboding.
+Winds Symphony Especially interesting is Claud's conversation with Aideen if she's his wife. He straight up says that when he was at Braggi Tower, he had a vision of this event. He knows what's going to happen and that he's going to die, but also tells Aideen not to come with him because it's not part of her fate.
+Forklauncher
I think I had Adeen paired up with Azel. But that just makes this chapter even more sadder. I was playing this off of an emulator on my phone, and I lost everything when I switched phones. But knowing all of this is making me hesitant on replaying through this part just to finish the second half.
Plus the background music of this chapter basically gives you the feeling that Sigurd and co. are marching to their deaths

Alvis was so ugly that everyone died! The end.
Geneology of the ugly barnacle.
Just imagine when Nintendo finally remakes this
I can just imagine an FMV of Sigurd's death scene and the last thing we get to see of Sigurd is his wedding ring before it gets destroyed by Arvis' boot.
This was actually SAD!!! Omg I hate when my units die I can't imagine watching all of them dying at the same time so suddenly wow!!!
3:33 Adean is hit by a meteor tome, unpromoted. She's surrounded by promoted units. She doesn't die. Fire Emblem RNG for you.
Air tempest she must've gotten luck and somehow dodge.

*loud sobbing* Fire Emblem, why must you be so harsh on my heart!
Can we also mention that Alvis killed his brother Azel in that attack? Just saying...
@@calea1875
And then they killed Tailtiu in one of the most tear-jerking ways possible.
I would of just burned the game in a open fire. You don't just straight up kill my army like that in a story.
Alvis, you just killed your brother Azel with Meteo!

yes
Sigurd's army had an Ike. His name was Sigurd.
NobleSpitfire Sigurd is waaaaaay stronger than Ike, the problem here is that enemies are also more powerful
Sigurd's army needed a "Seth" is more like it; not for his overall strength, but his skepticism and common sense. For example...

This series is what got me to take an interest in Fire Emblem. And now I am obsessed with Seisen No Keifu. So I have your series to thank for that. Thanks.
Wait... you used Midayle but not Lex?! This... is madness!
THIS. IS.THRACIA! (seriously, FE 5 is awesome)
Wow! that was the darkest ending ive ever seen in a FE game especially for one that you cannot avoid to see it >.< ive havent played the Nes series but i know a lil bit of the story since ive made some research on wikia, plus Arvis is the most perverted char ive ever seen in the FE series so far
@Eltshan51 Alvis killed almost all of my characters from the first generation of the game. I will forever hate him for that.
UA-cam categorises this as a shooting game. What the hell?
Ha, I get it.
There's a joke among the FE Oldschool fandom that Sigurd got "360 Falascoped" by Arvis

+The King Lol
Yeah the Granbell/Lopt empire always struck me as a combination of
different factions, Julius and his acolytes were truly evil: him,
Manfloy, Hilda, Dannan and Andre, but there were a faction that were
trying to subtly push back against the evil and do some good work from
within like freeing the children, i mean a lot of the enemies you have
to kill don't seem particularly evil, Liza, Ishtore, Ishtar and Alvis do
all seem to be a little wary/remorseful of what's going on, and while
Bloom is technically evil i don't think he's malicious in the same way
Julius and Hilda are, he seems just to be a weak cowardly man who got
led down that road by Hilda.
I have to say it. I am addicted to your videos. Especially the Creepy Bad Endings. You're GREAT at explaining them and giving us that eerie feeling.
This is literally a PG13 version of Griffis and Gut´s showdown at the end of the Golden Age arc.
yeaaaa couldn't agree more
One of the first FE videos I watched before getting into FE. I thought the whole series was this dark, but thankfully(?) it wasn't. Jeez, that would drive me nuts.
Such a tragic fate. Felt so good when I finally killed Alvis with Celice.
make sure u go south and meet his dead perents for the gift and unlocked touchy moment
You dastard...a true gentleman's rage is always collected.
I think all the possible mothers survive (Tailtiu, Fury etc) and died afterward
In regards to Lewyn, it's not exactly clear that he's possessed.
Simply look at his reaction towards Tinni or Lene.
@@malalarazafinakanga5755 ayra died.
Man that's such sad and awesome at the same time...like, the protagonist and everyone dies but the next generation get revenge xD Awesome!
Azelle was also said to have survived and was turned to stone before reaching his brother to attempt to reason with him.
@@Jekuma
Sadly that was cut, as that was how the planned second act would've ended, and Seliph's arc would've been the third act.
The feels, man, the feels... the 2nd half of the game is a true tale of revenge
so i should mention how ABSOLUTLY LUCKY manfroy and his cult were that Arvis had, i beieve before marrying DIerdre, had a kid with Aida (the person who invites Sigurd over to the BBQ).
Guh...No matter how many times I watch my hatred for Alvis, and Manfloy swells.
Whoisthisgit thank you sooo much for introducing me to this amazing series it has been two years since i watched this video and then started playing these games i have to say fire emblem is one of the best series ever
3:11 "YOU DASTARD!!"
Great video, I love this series. Some suggestions of bad endings I would have are:
-Breath of Fire IV, were you are forced to kill your own companions on a battle that is impossible to lose even if you want.
-Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, there is a bad ending were thousands of people are killed and humanity loses it's freedom because you decided to run away, there is another bad ending were you can't go back on your decisions so you have to start a new game+ .
Levin was killed by Manfroy, then Holsety used Valkyrie staff to ressurected him...(check demo, i don't remember how many times you beat the game to get it)
When Alvis started talking about killing Sigurd, I thought it was just the start of another level but nope!
I love GOTHW, but I can't stand to play it often because it makes me so damn sad.
What's GOTHW ?

@@ryanyeo4448 Oh, thanks. 👍🏼
The way the music is timed is brillant.
I think Fates put it best "a double edged blade cuts your heart in two"
@Agju That's definitely one I've had in mind. I managed to avoid seeing it when I played the game myself, but I just knew there was a bad ending lurking there. When I saw a video for it on here, it was every bit as depressing as I was expecting. Shame the US version has a really silly spelling mistake that ruins the entire bleak atmosphere though.
Nothing a valkyrie staff and shitloads of money can fix you can revive the whole army
Sigurd should have yelled "EVERYBODY ATTACK! FOCUS OF ALVIS!" Because I'm sure as hell he had a quick minute before anyone got squished by fucking meteors or Sigurd himself getting hit by the valflame
Game animations aren't exactly in real time.
Even according to game stats his allies just can't hurt Alvis anyways.
Roy's daddy Eliwood also says Hi, along with Lady Lyndis... not to mention Eirika and Ephraim, Micaiah, and Elincia.
This isn't a creepy bad ending
It's a very sad ending
:'(
I could imagine this FE game possibly getting a M if it was released officially during the lifespan of the SNES, or maybe it couldn't make it at all to the states considering that incest is a plot point, and Americans hate incest.
@MatsuriMimi Yeah, I know they survived, but Fin is the only character from the first half of FE4 who can still be used in the second.
Wow ... I also felt very bad for Sigurd and his troops when i played the game. Though when i heard the "Chapter 6 Soundtrack" in your video, i got chills :p This music is just a "they died but it's not over yet, cheer up !" :D
@arandomguy9 Whoops, my mistake. See 6 & 7 instead. 8 was about Mega Man.
"YOU DASTARD!"
They really didn't feel like going the extra mile did they
Real medieval insult, though. Says here 'dishonourable or despicable person'.
thats so sad. i would cry if i was playing this game.
"It seems we have fought for nothing...but an endless pain and sacrifice........"
It's a shame too, I played the demo for it and it was really great =/
I don't know if you still have that problem, but have you tried emulating the games? Even Citra works fine now.
That reminds me of the first Fire Emblem or its remake "Shadow Dragon" where you play the game, just to get the Bad Ending with the massage "you should have collect all star items (have forgett the names of it x"D) at this point BEFORE you know that you need them!" Really, i played the game AGAIN after this with a guide to get all x"D
same thing as in fe sword if seals, if you dont have al the sacred weapons you dont get the good ending
+Blackzero Well, I think Timberwolf mentioned the Starsphere and the Lightsphere, not the Zodiac fragments. The same concept exists in both the originals and the remakes.
Oh, Goddamn it, Alvis!
The other alvis in xenoblade does better
+dark god 02 agreed
I'm surprised they haven't done this again in another FE.
normies
@LoafOfPint I had to, because people need to know the events leading to this endings that make it so terrible. Though it did end up taking more time than I expected.
Hold that thought, I actually laughed my ass off when he said it was the midpoint. Fuckin awesome dude. You've made me laugh for the day.
FE 4 is pretty dark, probably the darkest in the whole series.
oh crap... This changed my view of Fire Emblem Franchise... WHY ON EARTH CAN'T THEIR UNIVERSE PASS A COUPLE OF YEARS WITHOUT SHIT HAPPENING?
Actually, this was a few centuries before Marth's time.
*upon seeing the first meteor at 3:26 *
... what? ...what!?
Incredible how the game still manages to make you feel bad for Arvis during the second part. Genealogy is the best FE game
you know.....seeing these vids......im feeling like plating all the fire emblems just for the sake i saw these vid and i like this!
I think Manfloy is more similar to Aizen from Bleach then he is to Frieza. They both know nearly everything about everything and they engineered the birth of a genetic freak of nature that they would later manipulate as according to their master plans.
When a video from 2010 is better than alot of the content we get these days
Get to FE5 despite the statue issue. It's an incredible game. I personally enjoyed it a lot more than Genealogy.
well is a complex game of war, and im sure he ust wanted to fully explain how these conflicts arose and took over the nations. also, it builds into emotional effect instead of "so his wife gets kidnapped, brainwashed, and later on he dies. the end." this two part video actually puts a lot more impact to the ending.
F*ck, this game is actually serving some GOT realness.
So it'd be cool to see you play the back half of this game or at least the highlights of it!
This is why in fire emblem awakening killing alvis feels so good
Alvis would have been hated by everyone had the developers didn't make him 1) somewhat manipulated/ controlled by the Dark Sect and later Yurius and 2) atone at the end, helping us even (the thing with Sigurd and Deidre's ghosts was creepy =_=!).
Now Im remenbering a scene in FF6: Right after maked peace with the espers, the bad guys came.
They may as well of said "There have been few survivors"...
That took a long time explaining.
Fire Emblem seems complicated enough for me to love it ^^
