Iirc, every unit who joins near the start first chapter of a generation can theoretically solo that generation. Aside from maybe Lana/Mana and Arden. Mana might not be able to get enough XP to promote in Chapter 1 since she doesn't join with any utility staves and doesn't inherit money. Lana doesn't have this issue, but it doesn't matter since nobody in the starting gen 2 party can inherit tomes anyway. The first tomes you get will be on Arthur, who joins after the first castle is conquered. Arden can solo gen 1 fairly easily due to great shield, but you need to use a single rescue staff use to bring him over the mountains in chapter 4. If you don't count that staff unit, he can easily solo the entire gen through RNG manipulation because of great shield + crit brave sword.
Also the Javelin can technically be used by Seliph too, you just have sell it to Erin during chapter 5, that way Fee can sell it when she joins in chapter 6. I think the gen 1 Javelin is also in the chapter 9 shop, so Seliph can buy it there. Though that's suboptimal since he doesn't have access to it for chapters 6-8. Bolt Sword is still better because the vast majority of FE4 bosses have low resistance, which means they get obliterated by crit magic swords.
I live for FE solo runs. Its such an interesting, unintended way to play the game that works surprisingly well. Its really cool that the solo runs have both unique advantages (funnelling stat boosters and exp) and disadvantages (unfavourable matchups, enemy phase reliant).
Great work Halvey! Sigurd and Seliph are some of the strongest protagonists but there's still a few difficulty spikes in there like Arion and Julius. You really know the mechanics of inside and out! I've never kept bosses alive, it's interesting they run back to their bases to get more allies. I kept bosses alive by mistake sometimes in Thracia and the AI is so interesting, I remember the bosses doing shenanigans like taking their allies' weapons if they ran out of durability. This solo challenge is hard enough with such strong protagonists, there's no way you could solo Thracia. What games would you do next? I've definitely seen people do Path of Radiance with Ike only, definitely doable on normal but on hard the final boss is too tough I think.
i’m surprised you didn’t try to recruit ayra for an early brave sword. a 100 kill silver sword is definitely enough, but the brave sword could be even sillier
Nice video, but Lana didn't do anything against Julius. Lover's/sibling support is +20 crit when adjacent, which she wasn't and Julius can't be crit anyway. I could be wrong, but I played this game like 4 times and the only hit/avo bonuses from characters iirc are stars and charm.
Lovers give each other 10% hit/avoid boost too, you can look at the battle info screen after he parked Lana next to Seliph to see the change. It was 55 hit and 84 hit for Julius and Seliph before, and 45 and 94 after.
I never knew that weapons with over 50 kills give the critical skill. Iirc though it's referenced in FE Engage on Seliphs max bond ring so that's neat.
How is it that the church can heal to full in Second Gen? Was this from modification done together with the English patch? Because the church in Second Gen only supposed to heal like 2-3 HP.
"I feel like Sigurd should have had more luck"
I think him being unlucky fits quite well
Wait, there are people who DONT solo gen 1 with Sigurd?
Obviously you don’t solo with Sigurd!
That’s stupid!
… I used Lewyn too.
And No one can forget the Strongest of them all Arden
efficient player have fun with the game challenge:
Sigurd doesn't need any amy. He's the army by himself.

Lana coming in CLUTCH!!!
Congrats, that must have taken a lot of patience.

Wow incredible my favorite game in a solo video good luck
Bruh I had no idea that castles can get destroyed in this game lol
Also I love that Arion strat of trying to out maneuver him to seize Thracia lol
If Arden can do it (he can) then Sigurd and Seliph can do it
Babe new Halvey video dropped
its amazing to see the legendary weapons are really a threat when u face them
It'd be cool to see a Fates solo with Corrin and Azura
Nice one
Man Im trying to play this game but I cant seem to find a translation that works
Check serenesforest. That's where I got mine.
@@halvey_ Just got it. Thanks halvey
Be honest friend, you have to use the save state with every movement made.

Did Ethlyn die before her Ch2 light brand convo?
the light brand ist best than thunder sword?
The lover/sibling bonus is a terrible way to phrase it
Why didn't you use the lightsword?

Churches heal you to full as long as you have enough gold. 5 gold per hit point. It's all maps, both gens.
