Surprised I never watched this one until now! It amazes me how we were talking a few hours ago in the car about munro bagging exercises the first being the South Glen Sheil Ridge where you mentioned to me you said those exact words on another video! And this was mentioned on this one 😂. Need to get these done soon in hopefully the same conditions as today but there again probably not. Sods law in all that 😂

    Hi Steven
Sorry to hear about your hip issues bud at least you still got your cycling 🚲 and hiking 🚶‍♂️ 😉.
Totally different from your last vid with wall to wall sunshine 🌞 and amazing views.
Still very atmospheric and another 2 in the bag.
    Keep up the good work.

Cheers Tam, aye as you say slightly different 😂 Can’t always get those views which makes it all the more special when you do I guess 😊 Take care mate,

Yeh that’s Scotland for you Steven eh, beautiful unbroken sunshine one weekend and clagged in the whole day the next weekend. I was fortunate to be blessed with a cloud inversion when i did these 2. Like you say east enough hills but the descent from 2nd is steep, sorry to hear about your arthritis, at least you’ve still got the great outdoors in your hiking & cycling.👍

Cheers Frank, I guess in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 you just gotta take the good with the bad, though tbh there’s never truly a bad…..the good ones make it all worthwhile tho, take care m8,

Hi there, thanks for that, I had mixed feelings on the day, never a bad day on the mountains but I missed the views….thanks for the sub, take care,

Hi mate. Another cracking video mate. I know you might not think so but it was enjoyable to watch. When you mentioned about the sun trying to break though, I was say here saying "Its behind you" Haha
Sorry to hear you have to pack up the running, it must be horrible. I'd be the same if I was told I had to give up golf! Still at least you have the mountains fall back on. It's not a bad back up plan! 😀.
Thanks for sharing your day as always pal.

As always mats thanks for your kind words and support, yeah when I watched the video back I could see the sun trying to peek through 😂😂 Doing a lot more cycling, less impact and it seems to be helping….thanks again, take care,
      Steven 😊👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

that’s a nightmare about the running. They say our habits help define our identity, so if you run every day, then you’re clearly a runner. And if you’re forced to stop running, then you lose part of your identity. But i’m sure there’s always new habits you can form that will shape your new identity to be the person you want. well, that’s enough psychobabble for today :-) good luck!

Thanks for that, very eloquent and articulate, I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t still hurt but I’m sensible enough to realise it’s about the long term….cycling and the mountains aren’t the worst substitutes….gotta keep the legs turning 😉 Thanks again for your comment, take care,

Thanks for that, I’m kinda coming to terms with it but it still hurts…..I’m so glad you didn’t prefix very fit man with “for your age” 😂😂 I’ll be 60 next Tuesday 🙈 Who needs prescription drugs when you can have jelly babies 😊 Thanks again for your kind words and support. Take care,

Thanks for sharing Steven, good wee video! I totally get it, you need the views for those hills. I’m glad I got them all done on a decent day but as you say, last weekend was the winner and those are the days that makes it all worthwhile.
Sorry about the running, it’s really really tough having to give something up you love so much…keep on trekking mate, whether on the hills or the wheels and you’ll do fine.
    Safe walking, Duncan

Cheers Duncan, sometimes you gotta put up with the not so good to get a belter which is exactly what I got on Wednesday on Ben Lui, possibly best yet 😊 Yeah the running sucks big time but I’m coming to terms with it (no one died and no one got pregnant 😂😂) I’ll go god as long as I can which hopefully will be a few years yet….cheers again mate, take care,
      Steven 😊👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Conditions against you but still an enjoyable video . Liked the clagged summit with the birds on the frozen ground , quite atmospheric . More cycling might save your knees long term , might be a blessing in disguise ... all the best .

Hi there, thank you for that, you guys have all been so kind. TBH since I’ve stopped running I’ve noticed a huge difference and feel no pain and only minor discomfort occasionally. As much as not running hurts I have to think long term and there are other things I can do, would hate to not be able to get out on the hills so it’s a fair trade off lol. Was actually back at work for a week but got next two off to look forward to 🥰 Birthday lunch on Tuesday and a wee trip to the capital city to see Rocky Horror on Thursday, hopefully a hill or two somewhere as well….thanks again for your kind words, take care,
      Steven 😊👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

So good to hear that your health has improved since you stopped running. It must make it easier for you when you are seeing positive benefits and if it keeps you out on the hills then we, your viewers are very happy! A wee jaunt up Arthur's seat when in the capital perhaps lol? Enjoy your time off and have a fantastic birthday Steven! 🎉 🥳 🎂

@@theresabuchan6844 you know in all the times I’ve been in Edinburgh I’ve never ventured up Arthur’s Seat, might just do that Thursday, thanks again 😊👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
