as a muslim, it feels like chantal is using islam as a way to shield herself from any and all criticism. like she put the hijab on just to pull the muslim card out at the slightest inconvenience. i'm not the best muslim but i don't go out in public and announce all my sins, whilst also insisting i hold the moral high ground over everybody. the biggest red flag was that she didn't attempt to make up/apologise for all the shitty things she's done in the past when she converted. just one more piece to prove she's never going to change.
I'm not muslim, but have a friend that is so I've tried to learn more about it. It does seem like there have been a few public figures who've pulled this kind of nonsense. "Oh, I shouldn't be punished for my crimes, but I'm totally a devoted muslim! Look, here I am practicing Ramadan in jail! Here I am taking about Allah as I go to jail!" It's pretty gross. (Especially in the case of that gross Tate man making a big deal over being muslim in jail when it seems like he wasn't particularly devout outside of it, what, living with women he wasn't married to which I'm pretty sure isn't halal.) Like, there are many good people who are muslim, but these famous people trying to use their faith as a shield is terrible.

I swear she only did it to justify wearing a king-sheet sized abaya all the time. She doesn’t care about the religion at allllllll and her hypocrisy proves it. She’s just a nasty human
My biggest issue is her use of “it’s between me and God” which is all fine and well, but everyone around her in real world terms is who has to deal with her insufferable ways. God is not a shield for rubbish behaviour. No one is perfect and I’d never hold anyone to such a high standard because of faith, but she definitely doesn’t represent any of the many wonderful Muslim friends I have. The fact that she steps over anyone in the Muslim community that tries to get through to her is a sure sign that she still carries white western arrogance.

Whether she does that, in part, to get under Chantal's skin that's fine with me. Chantal had every opportunity to give back (to anyone but Nader, that is) when she was supposedly making $20K/month but she would never. Heck, she wouldn't even pay her taxes.

Imo Chantal was in a rage over many things, the least of which was the weed. She is beside herself about what Salah has been up to and I really think her rage was at least partially directed at him. She is shaming him in his mind and I think she meant to. When she started streaming about his cheating Salah was in her chat angry about her publicly bringing him shame. This weed rage felt, to me, like she was saying ‘See? I’ll do whatever the f I want! YOU obviously do!!’ She doesn’t care that people know…she’s furious with him. I also think it’s kind of scary that she’s going back there. Between his blank face, his anger at her bringing shame upon him, and his grape talk, he freaks me out. She is so angry with him that she can’t even address it and when she gets back there she’s going to go crazy if he even breathes on his phone. This seems like a very explosive situation

I think a big part of her rage is that her facade of being happily married, working on her health, and being a good Muslim was so violently shattered over the past week. I don't follow Foodie Beauty but when I listen to her talk in the clips, what really strikes me is that she talks like a teenager. She seems to be a forty year old woman with the mind of a fourteen or fifteen year old. She seems to have never matured from early teen hood. It's very strange.

Okay thanks for bringing up the issue with FFG. It’s such a weird, creepy parasocial thing. Granted I don’t know ffg well and I actually hate foodie and wish her the worst, still doesn’t make this behavior normal or ok. Bad people tend to attract not that great people. Ffg has mentioned that she was in contact with a former classmate of FB and that she worked at the dispensary but during FFG’s livestream she changed the story around to casually asking a guy who worked there.

No she had stated prior that she decided not to talk to that classmate. Then going into a dispensary when Chantal was filming in the parking lot on a video before and asked if an employee saw her when she was on her way in to buy stuff. That's it.

The thing about exposing UA-camrs irl and people inserting themselves is that it’s a slippery slope. It starts with doing it “because they deserve it” but what happens when it spirals out of control because people THINK they deserve it? This was recently a whole big thing with Dream, when people made up allegations because they “think he deserves it”.
Chantal is of course a whole other case because she’s just as nasty right back, but we should definitely reaffirm the boundaries between UA-camrs and the public. If you wouldn’t do it to a non-famous stranger, it’s not appropriate to do to a UA-camr. The truth comes out eventually anyway 🤷🏻

Honestly, I don't like Chantal. And it's hilarious how she went "you are gonna expose me? screw you, I expose myself first!" And her whole rant about people being mad for her smoking when it's people calling her out for lying.
But I do find FFG quite creepy, obsessive and going too far sometime. People like Chantal and Amberlynn don't need an almost obsessive stalkers, shadowing every movements and working hard to expose them. Those two expose themselves all the time by not being able to keep their lies straight.
I think the reason Chantal might not be pursuing a restraining order is that she too has "interfered" with FFGs life and FFG has kept the receipts. She helped Nader harass FFG over the phone and sat in her car in a parking lot next to where she thought FFG lived (or something like that). She was happy for FFG to show up to the fashion show at first, before the backlash started, even took a picture with her and talked about FFG being nice at the event on her following livestream. And she herself did invite followers to show up to the event. So I think FFG could have a case herself, even possibly a counter claim and I think Chantal is afraid of that. Is my best guess 🤷♀️ Not that I'm any kind of legal expert 😅

I don't necessarily think what FFG was wrong. About the fashion show, Chantal HERSELF invited ppl to come to the show on her channel. FFG had every right to show up, in fact it was easier for her to be there than for Chantal since the show was in Montreal. Now going as far as to ask an employee if Chantal goes to a dispensary, that is a gray area. I work in a store and if showed me a picture of a customer and asked if they shopped there I would probably say yes or no. That interaction had nothing to do with Chantal. I think the BBJ situation is the only thing not in a gray area. FFG saw the animal being abused, had the power to stop it, and did it.
People think FFG goes too far which I can totally see. At the same time I just personally don’t have any sympathy for Chantal because she screams that FFG is a “crazy insane stalker” and then does things like doxx her mother’s address on screen in the past week by waving an Amazon box around, showing where she’s going and what she’s doing when her “stalker” is within driving distance. Like- if I was afraid of a stalker I would not be provoking them by talking shit about their mother who recently died or their sick dogs who died this year. Maybe that’s just me. Chantal just doesn’t act like someone who is genuinely scared for their safety from a stalker. I think the reason she’s mad is because she can’t get away with telling lie after lie after lie to her audience.

@@aeronautique7690that’s true, employees really shouldn’t tell people anything about customers. Referring to this situation there were a lot of clues that Chantal was going to that dispensary without an employee allegedly confirming it.

Also, she took the cat to the vet and the vet said the cat was healthy for its age. Surprising considering how neglectful and heinous Chantal is but let's not sensationalize it and act like the cat was at death's door.

she was a deaths door though, bbg had a bad liver problem and urinary infection from her litter box not being cleaned- not to mention chantal was going to put her down and allegedly starving bbg so she seemed weaker than she was. All of bbgs problems which also included the claws, matted fur, were easily treatable if chantal just took care of her animals. The vet also never said she was healthy for her age, they said she had a lot of fight and resilience for how many problems she had at her age

Zach I always appreciate your measured perspective so much. I have been in some of FFG's lives and 80% they are entertaining/justifiable criticisms but with things like befriending Shannon, taking Beezer spray to get people's reviews, geolocating FB's dispensaries...I think it's going too far. Getting BBJ had a great result but should have stood alone as the only time FFG got that involved considering a pet's life was in the balance. But one time there was even one of the gorl gang that was making weird, vague statements about FB via super chats and FFG was quick to dismiss them as just being figurative but it made me feel a certain way since the line is being blurred too much and how would something like that monitored/controlled. If their favourite reactor is going that far, why wouldn't some of them too? I just don't like that line being crossed and I appreciate you speaking up about it. Thank you!

FFG didn't doxx anyone. She asked her audience if they wanted her to show them the store she knew Chantal was at a week ago next time she was in town, and they said yes, and FFG showed the parking lot and bought from the store. Someone was outside cleaning the windows and she asked him if he'd seen Chantal via her UA-cam channel and he confirmed she'd been there. That was it. Chantal assumed it was someone else she had beef with in highschool, doxxed this person as you mentioned, and then went to google to give this store a bad review as well as name the person she did in her video.
For hours on end and into today ppl left 5 star reviews and countered her review. Her review is now gone - idk if she deleted it or Google did after it was flagged numerous times - and the store she wanted to take down is at 4.9/5 stars last time I checked, which is a higher rating than before her rant yesterday 😂 highly recommend reading the reviews for the entertainment value, it's one plant in Cornwall Ontario.

It's a public parking lot and a retail store is a relatively public space. Chantal has zero entitlement to confidentiality - it's the equivalent of saying whether you saw someone at the mall or the liquor store. Privacy breaches of customer info means things like their credit card info, phone number, email, age, DOB , address, etc.

Also as someone who's dealt with 2 stalkers I can assure everyone this is not what stalking is. It's as much stalking as ALR claims to have a stalker who she loves and blows kisses to. Cornwall isn't a big town and is pretty close to the Quebec border, for all I know FFG has friends there or other reasons for knowing the town well. She knew immediately the parking lot when reacting to Chantal's stream a week ago.
Asking someone if she had been there and keeping it to yourself is already a step too far IMO but bringing it to the Internet ugh.

I don't think this situation is uncommon, although if I was that guy my response would've been "why" unless friendly with the person asking, which very well sounds like the case here since I got the impression FFG has been to that shop many times before. The fact remains that being in public and going to stores comes with zero entitlement to confidentiality. It's shopping, not a therapy session.
