- Watch Dan Thor taking on high pheasants at Upperwood Estate in Saddleworth. Although the weather wasn't ideal, we managed to capture Dan shooting some of the amazing high birds in the beautiful surroundings. James Crowther, the gamekeeper of the Upperwood Estate, treated us to a new drive which he calls the Extreme Drive at the moment. Apart from organising a great day for us, he is also giving you the opportunity to come up with a name for the Extreme Drive. Comment your suggestions below and we will pass them on to James. Names for your drive The Heavens or Skyscraper !!!!
or "have that" drive .....because when you hit one you say "Have It"

The number of birds amazes me, here in the US, I don’t believe that there are that many birds in one location.

Nice coverage of the shooting that day. I watched it twice it was that good! Id call it “The Blackbird Drive” because that’s the size of em 😊. 4 and 20 baked in a pie!
Go pro is OK. But a few frames of ShotKam would have so clearly shown the huge lead and line accuracy TrueType high pheasants require. Gorgeous scenery and such well presented birds.
What about calling it “High Pyke”? Nice little play on words

True. So many very high birds are just pricked and fly on to die later. Extreme birds require excellent marksmanship and a lot of luck!

Fantastic video Dan. The drive should be called "stairway to heaven" or as it'll no doubt get shortened to just "stairways". As you and you pal were chatting, you mentioned how stunning upperwood is, and how every time you visit, it shows different beauty.
Much like the stairway to heaven!
Weather your shooting that drive on the 1st of September or the 1st of February - you'll always be looking up past the step like terrain towards heaven, attempting to catch a glimpse of an angel whilst pulling down monsters.

I would name the drive “Sky High” or “Karman Line” the name given to the area on the edge of space.

Some variation on "dam high" seems fitting given the location
What a great day! A name for the drive, "stargazer" would be apt due to the altitude of some of those birds just look like dots in the sky!
I reckon most shots would stand and think 'F-in-Eck' great stand.
