Dave you are absolutely the best ambassador for game shooting ever !! Always great videos and beautiful scenery ! Thank you and Good Luck in the coming year ! Looking forward to seeing some charity shoot videos this year as I missed seeing them last year.
Great film Dave and a typical British shoot, showing the best of the countryside and the people who look after it so well! Hopefully meet up at the Game Fair for some banter!
Thank you for always encouraging the young men and women that help with these shoots. I know meeting you is a real highlight and hopefully keeps them in and around the countryside as keepers and sportsman.
What a lovely venue Dave, from the interiors of the lodge to the lay of the land to the set ups of the pegs, it was all just perfect looking. This video really showcases the beauty of that countryside and the quality of those birds. Your swing and lead on the long crossers was just textbook as usual, and the signature good sportsmanship from the team you shot with there was fantastic. Thanks for this one and keep up your great work. Best regards as always, Ed.
Really nice winter Video David ! Brings me back to my Scotland shoots on my uncle Jocks Patch ( Ardwell Estate) he was head gamekeeper there for a lovely Scottish family the Brewises! I can still smell the oil and powder in the large gun room with its punt gun and boat standing in the middle! Wish I could re live those preciuose shooting days! So exiting for a young man tasting pheasant and goose shooting in that lovely Place! Somethings you never forget!!!
Good Day Dave great filming from your shoulder side what great swing thru on those birds. You got into a rhythm and perfect lead on the birds as always. I love to watch you shoot Sir just a fantastic day on the countryside once again.
Looks like a wonderful place shoot and stay! Just wonderful. As always, another great film! Hope your season has been a good one. Ours here in the states wasn't bad. Cheers!
Fantastic hunt Dave, beautiful scenery and great camera work as always. Those last few drives and areas were just gorgeous. Thanks for bringing those videos to us, much appreciated!
Great video ,as usual Dave ,I appreciate there is a lot of work goes into them . PS.when are we going to get the long awaited 28 bore cartridge and pattern test .
I have watched pretty much all of your videos over the years and one thing I have noticed is that you have a unique style. My perception of how you execute the shot is like this: You get onto the bird as soon as you can, learn its line and speed, then pull away rapidly until you reach the lead you know the bird needs and take the shot. It looks like your swing almost stops once you have put on the lead, with very little follow through. Is this a fair observation or have I got parts of the process wrong. You have certainly perfected this style of shooting. I shoot in a similar way on the best birds although my pull away is far slower. Any feedback would be much appreciated and your videos are excellent in my view. Regards Rob
That pretty much sum’s it up, but people do say I have a final little flick on!! A split second final flick🤔 I don’t know ?because you don’t notice things like this yourself 👍
@@DaveCarrieShooting I think what they are referring to is the speed that you are able to put the lead on a bird, that is uncanny how you are able to control that amount of speed and still be accurate. I can't think of any of the high level UK shots who shoot like that. As in any sport, you generally get out what you put in and you of course will have worked hard, trained and practiced to reach that elevated level of shooting. I have worked hard on my shooting but to be more consistent on the best birds I think takes a lot, lot more practice and game shooting is expensive so I will have to make the best of what clays can offer. I consistently overlead the best birds, even though I have a good understanding of the gaps required for my method of shooting. I see this can happen to lots of people having lent a Shotkam to others and seen the results. This is something that I can work on, as apart from cocks and hens being different lengths, their length stays the same! Staying calm, steady and having super careful controlled accurate shooting, with good timing is the only thing that works for me and when you see the head go back and the feet move forward you know you have got it just right. I've taken up enough of your time and I look forward to watching more of the same from you, which may just enhance my shooting ability in some way. Rob.
Well shot Dave 👍 It would have been nice to see you with the 20 bore on a shoot like that, or maybe a 32 gram 5 black gold as you certainly had some heavy loads there and with your ability i think it was too easy shooting for you 👍
Good film buitifull countryside nice people but England it's been taken over where are all the foreigners shooters I never see them I must admit I would be scared of watching my country going down the tube I'm so glad I lived there when it was real English I hope one day to see the common man having a shoot myself I would slit a peg 4 ways what a great idea 4 drives 4 people spit the cost 4 ways 15 shots is good enough for me iv never been greedy iv gone to shoots 45 years ago and the people have always mentioned as much as the shooting great memories American dove hunting is completely difrent I have my own clay shoot plus deer if I want it I love to hand gun shoot and rifle it's so fantastic enjoying both sets of memories
A very comfortable and well managed resort. But do you never fancy getting back to basics?. Tame chicken shoots are okay and suit rich old buggers that want luxury maybe cant walk far but the roughshoots are the real thing Dave theyre good for the soul and easier on the wallet.
@@DaveCarrieShooting all I seen birds to your left and right your a very good shot if you had been on my shoot I would have a word about it I really like to see you on shooting your doing a good job some guns have saved up for months to have a days shooting and to have their birds taken not the thing to be doing must of your days are up market not all of us can afford that my days are 100 but etiquette comes first on my shoot 👍
@@martingoubart5839 hi Martin it does get very tedious fending and proving on this very subject - if I were you I would contact the shoot organiser his contact details are below , I’m sure he will accommodate you and possibly enlighten you. I’ve been shooting a good few years now and never been spoken to by anybody about my shooting etiquette- apart from when I have deliberately cut someone off on purpose and I mean cut off altogether- these occasions have always been under the orders from the keeper or the organiser to teach some greedy baxsterd a lesson albeit to my own detriment sometimes as they don’t know what I know or why I’m doing it, I’m sure you will know certain characters that will need this from time to time? Believe me! “I do not” have a shortage of invites charles.owen@mornacott.co.uk
You can certainly shoot straight but your sportsmanship leaves a lot to be desired, in my view, as you consistently poach birds from over the heads of your neighbours! Plus a partridge drive with 38 gram number 4s - I imagine most of those birds ended up in the bin….
Why don’t you get in touch with the estate their contact details are on the film, I get sick and tired of these accusations of poaching, every bird is shot either at the back of neighbouring guns after they have had their two obligatory shots the others are long crossers going to nobody :- if you haven’t shot at the side of me you have no right to accuse, I suggest you watch more closely with the sound turned up or as I’ve remarked above contact the shoots and speak to them directly 👍
Keep up the good work Mr Carrie, a much needed ambassador for shooting and the countryside👍🏼
Cheers Robin👍

No Tie? Pretty poor that.
Why do you keep taking other guns birds
Is that the ones shot behind guns or the long crossing birds going down the line to no one🤷♂️
