One thing I find interesting here is how Mr Puzzle seems to play both sides. He goads SMG4 into harassing SMG3, and he gives SMG3 the means of going to the ball. Really demonstrates how he's just after a good show here

Kinda like how Wren's plan was to have a good rivalry going on forever.
That's what makes him interesting. He doesn't seem to be evil or good at all, but more of a neutral character who starts conflicts for the fun of it. He is still an antagonistic character, but he's not openly evil like Francis or Niles.
The problem with Mr. Puzzle is he’s hella intrusive. He’s holding everyone against their will and forcing them to perform these weird cliche stories. Even if he’s just looking for fun, I’d call him a major problem.
@@DrSuperLuigiSeth1 That's leading to a terrifying thought. Mario's end line implies that he managed to control Mario even before this Saga making him the first villain to win (It even explains the question of why Melony barely does anything. He has not only taken over Mario's mind, but everyone else's). I'm not even certain if the crew will win that easily.
Apparently Mr Puzzles considered Mario’s Mysteries a flop because it didn’t get a perfect 5 stars (it was about 3 and a half). Wonder if it’ll be canon to the end of the saga
Also surprised they didn’t keep the ad on brand with either Mr Puzzles advertising the game or having it as a commercial break.
That scare near the end with them staring off like that caught me off-guard because I was so distracted with SMG3 and 4's songs and Mario's head on a dear that I completely forgot this was part of an overarching horror story. I saw that scene and I was just like "Oh yeah, there WAS something bigger here than SMG3's head on Peach's body dancing with Luigi to Kingdom Hearts music, wasn't there?"

Considering Puzzlevision looks like an older model of tv my guess is he's angry that the internet has rendered regular tv more or less obsolete.
I have a theory that SMG4 wasn't the actual first target of Mr Puzzles. We don't know how long he's existed, so what's to say Mr Puzzles targeted other people? Perhaps he targeted Meggy during her personal crisis in Sunset Paradise, offering her a way to become the splatfest champ. Of course, Meggy declined the offer, noting how shady the products looked
In addition to your theory, all of the episodes have been based around game shows, scooby doo, snow white, and blues clues, all of which is associated with being on TV back then but they aren't as big as they used to be back then because of streaming services and social media replacing them.
Mr. Puzzles would definitely be trying to bring back the glory of TV back then and that's why he's frustrated with his episodes not being perfect.
@@benbarnett5743 well now we know why Mr Puzzle chose the SMG4 crew out of everyone: because it's the stupidest show that he has ever seen and if he can manage to make it entertaining he can make anything entertaining.

My theory on clench is that he was created by Mr. Pussle so that Tari can't use the meta runner to hack her way out of this tv world that there stuck in.

Actually Luigi does bend that way, in fact...it makes more sense for HIM to wear that dress as he has a history of that.
can we talk about the fact that the times between when Deer mario start finding help and his return was 12 hours ?

Notice how Mario's doesn't seem affected by the perception altering Mr Puzzles is capable of. The fact that he's a deer and a dog seems to support this theory too. Dogs and deer have a sixth sense which allows them to detect danger and avoid perception altering methods. Mario's lack of perception is what's making him immune to Mr Puzzles's effects
this is the second time Mario has gotten an animal body instead of his normal body

Feel like out of all the Puzzlevision episodes this may be the one that causes a um what reaction when looking back. Interesting to see a fairy tale be apart of it although feel like SMG3's face in the thumbnail is some people's reaction to the episode"Why 3 specifically as the princess?" I'm honestly starting to like Mr Puzzles more so his personality. Out of all the villains ( more so Waluigi Francis The thing in it's gonna be perfect Wren) in the past feel like he's gonna be the main one that doesn't want to kill or hurt the crew and he more so just wants to see how they work
It's bizarre but it moved to the next episode. It was not strong as last week but it was entertaining to watch once. The ending with SMG3's wish really set the tone from lighthearted to pledge for help of escaping a state of limbo.
Gonna give it a one for the suffering, and to piss off Mr. puzzles lol
Looks like the situation of "Western Spaghetti" is starting to getting repeated.

I'm enjoying this arc and having a website for it is cool, but didn't we just have a "trapped and brainwashed in a simulation" in western spaghetti? I hope they do a little extra especially since we don't really know anything about Mr. Puzzles and that he's been teased for over a year now.
