- An Italian haircut experience in historic Art Nouveau barbershop, Antica Barberia Giacalone (Ancient Barber Shop Giacalone) in Genova, Italy.
Situated in the heart of the old quarters maze of alleyways is this authentic old barbershop. Originally opened in 1908 by Emanuele Giacaloneto to serve the local sailors and dock workers. The Art Nouveau interior was completed in the 1920's. The shop remained in the family and open until Giacaloneto's son died.
In 1992 with the assistance and interest of the Italian National Trust, Antica Barberia Giacaloneto was once again opened to the public in its original bygone era and ambiance.

This reminds me of the barber shops my dad would take me to as a kid. Where he and would talk the entire time and i didnt talk. Got my hair cut. And got ice cream after. Best days of my life
I’ve watched this video every night to help me go to sleep, my fiancé thinks I’m crazy and is starting to get jealous of you Harry. I told her if you had some shirts or wrist bands I would definitely buy them since you’ve helped me out a lot with the videos making it easier for me to sleep. Keep it up brother. Safe travels

We once had a real italian barber as a substitude at our local barbershop. We hardly could comunicate and i think he didn't really understand what exactly i wanted him to do but he gave me the best haircut I've ever recieved. They just really understand the craft.
Here in Italy unfortunately it's not widespread to know English as in other states, but the barbers are very skilled
I think he has done a great job. This is what you want from your barber when you say "just tide it up a bit please". And he has done it so perfect. He clearly knows what he is doing.
This gentleman's shop looks like it hasn't been redecorated since the 1940s. Very nostalgic looking.

If there could only be one sound effect for scissors in the whole world, it would be the first pair used in this cut. Perfecto!
I've already seen several videos of this channel : in each city or country you can notice a characteristic style, sound and rhythm during the work.
As an Italian I must confess that what you experienced in this video is exactly - I'm not exaggerating - what happens in a traditional Italian barber shop.
What you cannot experience is the never ending chatting of the customers 😀

I love how he took the cape off.. from the bottom, folded up to not get hair all over your legs. Nice gesture.
This gentleman was a real pro. Great looking cut. He worked fast but was in no hurry. He knew where he was going. So many people cut real fast but don't have a clue about what look they are going for. Pretty detailed in refining the cut also.

Kinda looks like a British pub toilet...but like a fancy British pub or restaurant toilet. The coloured tiles on white tiles, just has that vibe.

That's the kind of haircut experience I'd want, I usually just buzz my head myself once it grows out for 3-4 months, but if I could go to this guy every month that would be great. He's probably my favorite of his, efficient, good styling, and makes quite a bit of natural barber noise.
Harry you must of never gotten an haircut when you was a little boy, you travel all around the world just to get a haircut I'm envious of you man... I wish I had the money to go around the world 🌎 for a damn haircut.... Good job 👏🏾

You ever happen to make it up to the New England area you should check out Binet Cuts in Groton, CT. Not quite the quite barbershops you normally visit, but that place is the best barber in all of Connecticut. Very tradition Hispanic haircut and Omar the guy in charge is super involved with his clients

I really like your videos! A tip since most of the viewers watch this videos for Asmr purpose is to lower the volume when hairdryers and loud clippers are being used. Got a minor heart attack when i fell asleep to the video and woke up to that high sound.
