This guy has gotten way better over the years. Here he's overplaying, something I catch myself doing too, and it can cause ear fatigue after a while. He holds back more these days. I really like his style though and I follow him.
Me suck. Cought this too late. Great stuff near my hometown. Man o man. Very, very exceptional guitarwork. And a smashing rythem section. Pure and plain blues. I love it!
Love blues guitar instrumentals and this one rates at the top! Excellent performance by Eric Steckel and his band. The energy that man has even today is that of 2 two year olds! Although this was 9 years ago, The entire concert is still a foot stompin' jam and will be for millenniums to come. ...no I didn't mince or misspspell that; ...Millenniums to come. Because of Erics' style and instrumental energy, the bass player and drummer were given the same musical freedom to expand their playing on these classic blues tunes as well and made for one hell of a jam session! The 7 morons as of this writing that voted a hands down obviously haven't a clue what it takes as a musician / guitarist / artist to play like this and be one with the music. Shame on you. One of the most pleasant performances I've had the pleasure to watch and listen too! Thank you BlueMoose for posting this, and Eric Steckel and band for performing non stop for over an hour !!! BRAVO !!! BRAVO !!!
Bet that this band continues to be part of the greatest it is not easy to give your all and not miss a note thanks Eric and the band and thanks for this post
He was still a very young lad in this video so it makes sense that he just annihilates you from the get go lol! He's come a long way and with age comes wisdom and temperance. Now he tears your face off in the appropriate places :)
His tone is too thick and dull, and while he's got chops and some good ideas, the steady plow effect of his unrelenting drive seems to undermine his possible transcendance into real music--as opposed to just date raping a 12-bar progression again and again..
Another treble crazy person.First of all it can't never be to thick. And less treble the better.Just listen to Eric Johnson.0 treble and the best tone ever!!!
