Dude is a talent that deserves top billing. To see and hear this at a local bar is a special treat you'll remember for the rest of your life. Once again I am seeing something similar to Frank Marino, and just like In 1978 nobody but me seems to care.
Oh I sure do! It’s the mixture of the diatonic scales and pentatonic scales that are so beautifully balanced. And I was just listening to some Frank live, killing it!
The fact that killer players like Eric Steckel and Quinn Sullivan still fly under the radar is ridiculous to me. Then again, given the state of pop music, it's not all that surprising. Phenomenal performance here.
Part of the problem is that these great performers lack the ability to market themselves properly. It's not easy and takes a LOT of effort. Another great guitar player that falls into this category is Philip Sayce. Killer player that still is basically an unknown. Like I say it takes a lot of effort to market yourself to the fullest and a lot of artists just either don't have the energy nor the marketing skills to do it right. It's really up to the individual in many cases in today's world, sad to say.
although Eric and Philip are unbelievably fantastic guitar players they have never been the best song writers so are not commercially viable and wouldn't be able to play the long solos they love to play with radio friendly songs so will probably only ever be listened to by blues rock and guitar fans like ourselves @@kenster865
