    You can cut a plastic cup to fit over the spray of the bottle to give it a better directional spray and you can tape it on, that will help with the drift of the spray.

      When it comes to temperature and water quality they go pretty easily, or even just the fish you might have gotten might have been breed on a farm with sunken stomachs? Theres alot that could go wrong with fish keeping in general. Don't give up, try to find a locally bred source.

    Can you do a video about how to plan fish breeding? Like we breed for sale like you,and we also do all different stuff barbs, tetras rainbows killies cichlids, what is the best way to plan how much space you need for what , how long grow out takes , do you move things around your fish room a lot or do you have dedicated tanks for only one fish etc. Organization is key do you use spreadsheets? A notebook ? Is it all mental?? I feel like so many other breeders focus on one kind of fish.

    the raw untreated wood will be a problem on concrete, I would have done blocks of treated on the bottom or cinderblocks on the ground and build on top of that. Might have to go back, jack up the rack, block it up, cut off the rotten stuff eventually
    I have gone to 10 local petstores looking for pygmy cory's for my nano tank, one store had one left, they say they sell as fast as they get them. are they popular where you are? I'm thinking about trying to breed them once

      Now I'm nervous to pick them up and seeing if I can handle them even with your very informative videos. 😬
      (6 month update: I've kept a female and a male and the female died on me, got another female, the Male deid and then the 2nd female died from loneliness 😔), I haven't given up, setting up a 29-30 gallon long with dragonstone and sand and ofcourse planted. I kept the previous pair with 3 different type of tetras which one of them is sorta aggressive but not so aggressive where theh attack, they just swim so quickly in a 10 gallon. How much do you think you are selling the discuss and black rams for. Hopefully, I can buy some. I know I have been saying a lot of catastrophic things lately but I got a pair of angels from my friend cause they weren't breeding. turns out the female has camallanus worms. Another disaster, but do you have any idea on what medication to use and any tips. I am having quite a lot of trouble withs bettas angels and having to buy tubs on top of buying more fish, some wholesale and some from breeders including you. But all I have rn is honey gouramis, not breeding size (also need their own tank to spawn), some random platies and guppies, and only one pleco after a loss of like 5 and I do not know what went wrong as they had wood, correct water parameters, food (cucumber, beans, algae wafers), I have no food left, more money, and bills I have to pay my parents for electricity and small loan kinda things. trying to make youtube videos as well and ahhhhhhh. Looks like your doing fine anyway so keep it up, a great video. Hopefully, they spawn again. Love the rams and love the updates. Thanks

    • @KeepingFishSimple
      @KeepingFishSimple  3 роки тому

      Hey Lachie! First thing, the worms, you’ll need to either get levamisole or flubendazole. I’d get the ‘Big L poultry wormer on eBay’ and dose 2mL per 10 L. Then after 3 days do a 50% water change and try and suck up all the mulm because the levamisole only paralyses the worms. Then do another treatment. And then wait 3 days and do a final treatment. Check out my ‘Discus Importer Tour’ video and go to 11:36 to see a video explaining it. Now, with the other stuff. Starting a breeding business is super stressful at the start because securing good broodstock can be very tricky. I’d recommend maybe if you can, invest either $50-$60 on a breeding pair of Bristlenose or $200-$250 on a breeding pair of peppermints. I’d go with the peppermints because they should have 100+ fry every 2 months that you can sell easily to pet shops for $8 each so you’ll make $800 or $4,800 a year which should cover all your costs and make it much less stressful. You’ll probably only make $3,000 a year max from standard BNs. DM me on Insta if you have any questions.
