My first ever dollhouse kit purchase was a dura craft Newburg. (25.00) ...... from Michael's. Might be smaller, but I'm glad Michael's is selling dollhouses again.

Just saw your video a few days ago. I ordered the same doll house from Michael's, and I just picked it up in the store. The cost was only $23.19. Such a bargain for my "starter" home. However, the rooms are small and the floors are very narrow. I will probably make or order furniture that is 1/24 rather than 1/12 to fit into the rooms. Now I'll have to find a Phillips screwdriver that is small enough for the screws. I can't wait to go through my scrapbook paper to choose wallpaper. I also have books of real wallpaper samples in a closet. Thanks for the idea about making templates for the wallpaper. Thanks for the video.

Thankyou so much for the tips. I've been having one heck of a time, I think Eileen need to come up with a better idea for her boxes. I've been googling all morning . We should'nt have to figure out a way to make the box look nice. She makes great journal books. I just ordered another Eileen mini book yesterday.

I had planned on something like this when our 2 granddaughters were small, but we were offered a free twelfth scale solid wood dollhouse with a box of furniture. The girls played with that for about 2 years, last summer we finally put it and the furnishings out on the curb for free and everything was snapped up in just a few hours!

Very nicely done. My father made me a dolls house when I was little and my brother made furniture for it. I loved that dolls house.

I was very impressed with the work that was done on the pink bed. At first I thought you were going to say you had done the bedding. It looks very comfy. The bed itself was wonderfully done. I'd have left the ladder out I think, or put it flat on the wall so there's room for more furniture, but still a ladder visually.

Just as an idea when you gift this you could stencil the little girls name on it, or a decorative stencil in the back of it.

I bought 2 of these for my two smallest granddaughters (they're too young for them right now though). My plan is to make them Christmas gingerbread- style houses for them. My handles were messed up on both of mine just like yours. Loved watching you work on this (and the peaceful music)- you gave me a great idea to use Christmas paper for wallpaper! Thank you for sharing your creativity! ❤

1400 Sometimes an exacto knives are easier to use for tight areas.I really love the wallpaper prints, and colors!

6:56 To get a template for the outside walls where it slants maybe the house could be laid on its side, and traced. Make allowance for where the floor divides the two stories. I’m not really sure how that’d work, but for me it’d be easier than trying to measure it from the inside.

There's a lot of love put into that doll house. Furniture for it will be expensive. It would look prettier with bushes or painted bushes on the house or flowers.
