I came across Freire's approach four decades ago. I have still been interested and keep reading his books. I read 'Pedagogy of the oppressed' 4 times even if I had difficulty in understanding his texts. I read this book in the early eighties. I was a passionate adult literacy facilitator and ventured into training hundreds of aspiring adult literacy facilitators in Nepal and never got tired to talk about his psycho-social approach and his key word approach in liberatory adult literacy campaigns despite I was labelled as subversive in my country by Monarchy backed authoritarian Panchayat system which had stopped to exist from 1991. I deeply feel that Friere is still relevant in my motherland Nepal and even in the advanced countries.
I think this applies to many other philosophies. Some things aren’t to be taken universally. Transcendentalism and existentialism must come from the individual, just as communism must come from the community. When we see the light in its entirety-the sun and the stars-it often blinds us, and we become overzealous. Maybe then is the time we should meditate most.
Thank you so much. Sorry, I cannot offer individual consultations at this time. But do keep an eye on my coaching website where I do offer these services: masoodraja.com
You can email me at raja@masoodraja.com. But as I said above, I cannot offer individual consultations at this time. I am actually not even taking paying clients through my coaching website. There is simply too much going on in my life right now.

Thank you for your thoughts.
Have you read any of Freire's other works, or any of his mentee Ira Shor?
I have not read Ira Shor but I have read Pedagogy of Hope and other works of Freire.
