Great recipe coupled with great instructions. I've always wanted to try and make corn fritters, and now I can and do. Thank you! As a side note, I like that your recipe includes sugar as an ingredient because we like our corn fritters a touch on the sweeter side and this recipe delivers just that. I also prefer that they be somewhat round rather than flat "cakes". Brilliant!!!
Thank You for watching and trying this recipe out, glad you liked them! They are delicious~.....Thank you again for your kind words....Have a blessed day!

Cheryl can I use cream style corn? If so is there anything different I need to do?
@@stevenhuckabay7997 Use Whole Corn.... I also meant to say Apple Fritters and Clam Fritters....
Clam Fritters
2 10-ounce (283g) cans chopped clams
Each can will contain about 5 oz. (142g) clams (by weight) and 5 fluid oz. (148ml) broth
3 large eggs, beaten
11 ounces (312g) flour (about 2¼ cups)
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
Generous grating of fresh black pepper (about ¼ teaspoon)
About 6 cups oil for frying
Drain the clams, retaining the juice and clams in separate bowls. Combine the clam juice, eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Blend well. The mixture should resemble a thick batter. If too wet, add more flour at little at a time to get the consistency correct. If too dry, water can be added.
Stir in the chopped clams and mix until thoroughly distributed.
Heat oil in a heavy pot to 375°F (190°C). To test for seasoning, pick up a small dollop of batter with the tines of a fork and cook in the hot oil for a minute or two. Let cool a little (the metal fork will be very hot) and taste for salt. Adjust the seasonings in the batter if necessary.
Using an ice cream scoop or large spoon, carefully drop dollops of the batter into the hot oil, not crowding the pan. Try to maintain an oil temperature close to 375° by adjusting the heat up or down as necessary.
Fry the fritters, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked inside, 3 to 4 minutes. Cooking time could vary, depending on the size of the fritters.
Transfer the cooked fritters to a plate lined with paper towels. Allow to drain. Continue frying fritters until all the batter is used.
Apple Fritters,
Ingredients for about 16 small apple fritters:
2 large or 3 small Granny Smith apples, peeled, cut in 1/4-inch pieces
1 tablespoon butter to cook apples
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 large egg
1/4 cup granulated sugar, (plus 1 tablespoon for cooking apples)
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 cup sparkling apple cider, or as needed
Hope this helps you out Steven...ENJOY!

How do u cook turnips?
Thanks for watching..... These fritters are delicious! You can boil the turnips in water or milk (or a mixture of milk and water) if you want extra richness.Turnips boil up quickly. They will be soft and juicy and perfect for tossing with butter or mashing.Drain the turnips and season with salt and pepper. You can serve them as is tossed with butter and olive oil, or puré them with cream, butter or milk. A food processor is recommended for a silky purée. There are many ways to cook Turnips... Roasting Turnips...Peel turnips, Cut turnips into 1-inch chunks or wedges or the size you prefer, Place the turnips in a single layer on the prepared pan and drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt. Roast the turnips, stirring them every 10 minutes, until tender and just browned, 30 to 40 minutes. Taste and add more salt if necessary. I hope this helps you.
see I don't eat eggs is it OK if I omit the eggs
I'm not sure if omitting the eggs the batter wont rise up......The only think I can tell you is try it....but I would hate to see you waist food....If you do make them with out the eggs, please let me know how they turned out of you. Thanks for watching
You need eggs to combine the ingredients
Is the flour all purpose flour please?
