I have been looking for a beginner friendly video of how to start planting on the container this is so helpful. Please where can I buy exactly this container? How often should I water the plants
The box container is a 24 inch box planter you can find at your local garden center (www.lowes.com/pd/Garden-Treasures-23-75-in-W-x-6-in-H-Green-Smooth-Plastic-Window-Box/3915180 ). The grow bag is a 10 gallon fabric pot from Amazon. Water them to keep soil moist but not soggy; I usually water them every other day. Thank you for the comment and good luck!
Thank you. I planted seeds directly into my elevated garden box with potting soil for raised garden beds. They are coming along very slowly. Should I restart in the starter pots with the lighter weight seed starter soil? It’s still a little warm here in SE Texas.
Spinach grows well in cool weather and warm condition may slow down growing. Also fungus in the garden soil may damage the seedling roots. Growing in seed starting mix helps you control the growing conditions such as temperature and soil. I suggest to provide some shade for your seedling in the box and start few more in the seed trays to have a better chance of healthy plants. Thank you for visiting and good luck!
If they are in a cool place, just keep them wet until they sprout. I usually water the fresh seedlings once and wait until they sprout. Once sprout, then you can water seedlings every 2-3 days. Water to keep soil moist but not soggy. Overwatering will cause damping off and kill seedlings. Thanks for getting in touch!
thanks for showing how to water around the plants! i plant things too closely to do that 😄 i have been splashing the leaves by overhead spraying, or else deluging the plants by watering without the sprinkler 🙄
for leafy plants such as spinach it is ok to shower the leaves too, but make sure the roots get the needed water. Happy growing and thank you for your comment!

Hi, I'm trying to grow spinach for the first time. I bought a perlite and coir seed rising mix. I have a question, In what proportions should it be mixed? And do you have any advice? Thanks.

No, I've never used covering to germinate spinach seeds. You may use it to keep soil moist but I am not familiar with using plastic to keep them in the dark. Thank you for getting in touch.
Good morning love you video. Just starting spinach seeds in side one thing do you cover you spinach seeds with plastic dome or just leave the cover off for germination period , do you put them under grounding light.
Hello. Glad you love the video. I do not cover seed trays, rather just keep the soil moist. And I don't use grow lights. Spinach is a cool weather crop and you can keep sprouted seedlings outside to get early morning sunlight (and bring them inside in the evenings). But if it is freezing or you don't get any sunlight, strong grow lights will work too. Hope this helps and thank you so much for your comment.

Spinach is a cold crop and I usually don't have much problem with bugs in cold. One of the best options for protecting leafy crops in pots is to cover them with garden netting ( amzn.to/3H8i85W ).
