I don't understand what OP meant about Kpop isn't about the music anymore. Do they mean Kpop groups don't care enough to release decent music anymore or good enough music? Well, if that's the case, then they can just expand their tastes and find more kpop artists to listen to. It's not hard to search up new artists. Plus if OP says *Kpop isn't about the music anymore* it seems like they only refer to popular artists, because there's lots of extremely unknown kpop groups and soloists to exist that probably make good enough music for people to find songs they like
I'm sure most of kpop fans can not detect the real concept of a song or album. They mostly listen to the vibe and look at albums like a dish of songs to pick thise align with their tastes. And i don't think this is a wrong thing. All of us eventually do the same thing. It's just their attitude towards the albums can make the messy album a trend. I mean the point of an album is to say somthing in details. We have singles and mini albums so the albums wouldn't be messy. I didn't listen to Armageddon yet so I'm not agreeing with you on that
