The man, Peter Obi (PO), understands perfectly the dynamics and differences existing in a country like Nigeria.
To foster national unity and maintain our regional uniqueness, one must create a balance, and this balance lies on the interdependency between two regions, North and South.
Each region has her strength and weaknesses, judging by what is available to them and what they can easily do. Simply put, he (PO) wants to promote the strength of each region first and maybe address the weaknesses later.
The strength of the north is agriculture while that of south is industry but that doesn't mean each region cannot do both. So he is simply advocating that the present government harness these unscratched potentials available in the two regions and thus move Nigeria to greater heights.
However, this proposed model of his might change when it's decided that Nigeria be restructured, and competition encouraged in the regions by making them completely independent.
Till then one can only wish we recognize our differences and discard the things that disunite us, so we can enjoy the abundance God has lavished this great country with.

I've been wondering why Nigeria media suddenly stopped talking about sit at protest in the south east as a factor destroying the economy of the region. The media have refused to tell Nigerians the reason why Nigeria economy is destroyed to the level it is today. The media have refused to tell Nigerians the reason why people are protesting against hunger in the north and in the south west, but no such protest in the south east. All propaganda have crashed.
