This is great, Haine! Thanks for sharing. On a related note, have you heard of Battle Box format for MTG? Something similar for Sorcery would be another solid way to get a "cube"-like experience out of old cards.
Great video! Note: the Cube List on the link is filtered to Unique/Elite and viewers of it don't have access to change this (i.e. we can't see the whole cube list, only the Uniques/Elites)
Now that Arthurian Legend is out, how to fit in all the knights who are multi color threshold? For color balancing, I'm counting a card as belonging to their "major" color if they have more than one threshold of the same type.
IMHO Cube is the best way to play a TCG. Even better when you have a friend/ group of friends with whom you construct the cube together. It's a thing you constructed together and in a lot of ways it is even more personal than your decks. Obviously in Sorcery the amount of options are still very limited. But that can also be an opportunity when you're just starting out. In MTG you have 25k cards to choose from. So what should you choose when there are so many options? In Sorcery you can start just with the complete set (or what you have available) and slowly develop the cube over time with the coming sets. Thats what I intend to do. At the moment the cube is pretty much like a booster box. But in a few years it will show the journey that the game has made. And I can't wait to see that 🙂
That number is based on the old Curiosa's database number. The images of the card used to be indexed in a certain order and that is where the number comes from. The current database is no longer in that system and can't be found out.
Love the professor impression ag the beginning! 😭
Great vid! Thanks for making the doc and doing the heavy lifting to get a starter cube into your viewers hands - much appreciated!
Yeah, its sure a good starting point for everyone to edit and make it better! Hope someone else will post a revised version of it!
Great idea, especially considering the lack of available beta boxes the cube idea helps spread the game to others who were late to the party.
For sure! That was the idea and to give a quick source for a cube card list for all.

I thought that google doc was able to take the filter out by I guess it didn't. I removed it now.

I am still thinking about which multi-colour to fit in. I will be updating the cube list soon to make it AL compatible.
@@wizardsden666 Thanks. I'd love to see a video about the thought process like this one too.
@@wizardsden666 would love to see an update with AL included!
Fantastic content!
Thanks!
Awesome video (as always!)
Thanks! (as always!)
Definitely interested in your example cube. Ive just been using a playset to make cubepacks that are really glorified repacks.
It's still a good start! You just keep taking out stuff that seems not to be chosen and you will soon be left with an optimized cube!

Can't wait till Sorcery gets multiple sets so that there will be so many different ways to make a cube!
hi Haine, how do you think your cube would play in a 4 player draft or a 2 player Winston draft?
I think it will function without issues except for the grey wolves theme not functioning.
question about the cube_list. whats is card nmber ad how to find it?

@@wizardsden666 thenk you, master!
is the cube_list designed for 8 players? how should I tweak it for a 2 players cube? as always, much appreciated 🙏
It's designed for "maximum" 8 players, so you can just draft 2 players worth of cards from it!
@@wizardsden666 thanks a lot, Haine. you're the best!
I built a monster cube but it's usually very 1 sided , here for the tech tips 🙏
Need lots of monster hunters!! Thanks for watching!
Will the cube make an appearance at gencon?
Awesome tips my friend!!
It probably won't appear at gencon due to weight limitation on international flights, but let's see!
this is great!! much appreciated ❤
You're welcome!
They can also do sealed in TTS!
For sure! But I want to play in paper!
@@wizardsden666 paper > TTS but TTS > no play
