This video is excellent! It explains the game so well and even gives examples of turns. I just bought this game after seeing a demo at a game shop when I was traveling today. The expansion was also available so I got that too. My teenage son and I are very excited about getting into a game of Compile.
just bought the game and the expansion pack at my LGS, they were demoing and we had alot of fun, cant wait to see more packs you all release for it. also need to check if I can get the mat for the game, they had one for the demo but none for sale.
1:29 time stamping because my sis, bf, and I are still trying to understand some of the text of the cards, and whether shifting a card will activate its middle ability again..
When you move a card from one stack to another, the middle text of the shifted card will not be activated again. However, if the shifted card (card A) was covering another card (card B), moving card A off of card B will cause card B's middle text will be activated once more.
So i bought a copy of this.... havent gotten to play it yet but will bring it to my group tonight. Question: i know this is a two player game, but seeing as how each game only uses 6 protocols, and there are 12 total, can one copy of this game support four people playing two games at the same time?
Yes, no problem at all. All the other cards are disregarded and can be used in another game. The only difference is that your remaining players will have less choice when selecting their protocols. But for first games it doesn't matter. And later on you could introduce a variant to selecting the protocols where all 4 players pick at the same time.
Great video, could you clarify at 5:59 how Player 2 can shift Player 1's covered card since it's not at the top of the stack? I thought only the most recent card on each stack could be targeted unless otherwise stated?
The ability says to shift a covered card. This ability actually requires the shifted card to be pulled from inside a stack. You could not use it to shift the top card.
@@josephmattson9648Thanks for your reply. I’m still a bit confused, the card effect only said “shift one of your opponents covered cards” and in a previous rule they said most of the time you’re only shifting the card on the top of the stack unless otherwise stated? Just trying to wrap my head around it
Does anyone know if when flipping a face down card, are you able to peek at it first to decide which face down card you may want to pick, or are you required to remember what it was?
Isn't there a mistake at 5:00? Speed 1 states that you draw one card at the Check Cache step, so the turn shouldn't have ended like that, Player 1 should have drawn another card in the Check Cache step.
Looks interesting, but I can't listen to the annoying voice any longer. I understand what you are trying to do with the voice, but it is severely overdone, and often difficult to understand.
I don’t wanna be rude, but this is a really annoying voice and the example gameplay is way to long and boring. And did you ever credit „Air, Land and Sea“ for copying their idea? Seems like a worse game than that too. 😔
I’m here because I just bought this game at Gen Con!
Same here!
“Computer, load up celery man please.”
"Can I get a hat wobble?"
Such a thematic and well-executed rules explanation 😌
Interesting! It even looks compact enough to be played in pretty much any venue: Air, Land, and Sea!

I got to play a demo of this game a few months back. So fast. So fun. Already picked up 2 copies. Great explanation video!
This looks really cool.
Might have to pick this up for my dad.
Purchased at GENCON and eagerly awaiting new expansions / main boxes
The Omnitron vs Omnitron-X card game?
Learned about this from the Penny Arcade stream, very neat, will be picking it up next chance I get.
what a shame it's not available anywhere :(
I WANT to buy this game but its not out yet here in Europe!
Played the game at Spiel and was very entertained :)
Going to play for the first time this evening.
Sold out everywhere. Will it be back in stock?
Great video, just purchased on Amazon to Ireland 👌

For sure grabbing at GenCon

@@atlas2049 That particular card's ability was an example of "otherwise stated" :)
@@FilipMoroz Ahhh I understand! I mistook "covered cards" for face-down cards. Makes total sense now, thank you Filip and Joseph!

you can loo
sorry, typo, you can look first
Hello, will the game be translated into French? Thanks you
Good luck finding it.
I'd love to buy this but can't find it anywhere in the UK - has it been released in the UK yet?
Yes - I found a copy in my FLGS yesterday (in Reading)
@@gheetsar thank you so much!! I bought their last copy yesterday after your tip. They said their next delivery isn’t expected until January 😮
And the guy in the shop said it was the best new game he’d played in a long time. I can’t wait to try it out!
@@neilcottrell7247 Nice! The card quality is absolutely top notch - it looks fantastic.
This game looks sick

Month late but Speed 1 states draw one card after clear cache not check cache, so they would only draw 1 card if they had just discarded down to 5.
PRINT MORE COPIES OF THIS GAME!!!
How and where to buy it in continental Europe? :(
Seems like it sold out everywhere after SD&SU's review on the game :/
Looks like Air Land and Sea on steriods!
90% sure this video was voiced by Shelby from Girlfriend Reviews
Why does my copy smell so bad. I just bought it and its off gassing like a memory foam mattress.
instead of 'trash' why not 'garbage collector'

Thank you for the feedback! I'll make sure to pass this along to the team👍
I thought it was fine.
the voice is just fine!
I thought it was the best tutorial video I seen because of voice and how it fits the theme xD
I listened to it at 75% speed and it was better.
Useless....just explain without a robot voice.

You seem normal and not at all neurodivergent.
And yet you are rude.
Stop looking to find something to NAG about kid
