I remember watching this finale as it aired and it was a somber night. The more Rico talked about his gut feeling he wasn't going to make it, the more I was convinced Sonny was going to be the one to actually be killed, lol. Thankfully, they both survived!
@@martycastillo5231 yeah really! The first time I ever saw FreeFall was on the USA network when I was young. I was born in 83 and watched the reruns when I was 9-10 I think lol. I was born a year before the pilot episode, how funny. I wish I was born a few years earlier, preferably in the Generation X era. You were so lucky enough to see it on NBC brand new every week! Us Xennials still remember Miami Vice because my family were hooked on it and I got into it from them and I'm damn glad I did! Hey I got a request for you. Can you do the music score from deliver us from evil when Sonny finds out he killed Frank Hackmans GF? I think he killed her or Hackman killed her by accident. My mind is a little foggy from that episode but it's on my top list of favorite episodes! Forgive us our debts and deliver us from evil was sonny crocketts version of calderone.
@@MooseOnTheLoose1983 I will be getting to "Deliver Us" eventually (probably sooner now that you asked!). I love the fact you still grew up watching Vice, even if it was a decade later. I was lucky enough to see the original broadcasts, but I still watched the repeats on USA in the late 80s/early 90s, and then on FX in the late 90s and early 00s. Good times!
@@martycastillo5231 thank you so much brother! Appreciate all the music from the show you're putting up. I loved 80s shows from Vice, Knight Rider, A-Team, Macguyver, The Incredible Hulk! These were top of the line shows. I bought the newly remastered high def Miami Vice Blu Rays a few months ago and it looks INCREDIBLE 👌🏼. And now I'm so happy to have your channel for the remastered awesome music! Cheers 🍻
"We had one hell of a run didn't we partner. Yeah...We sure did Sonny." Brilliant and bittersweet ending to an absolutely fantastic TV show! Wish I was alive to see it (born in the 90s), but thankfully all of the episodes are up on NBC to enjoy. Thanks for posting this score
I cannot help but cry a little at hearing this song; I lived as a teen in that amazing decade of the 80’s and the ending of that show was the fitting farewell to it…😔😢
TIm Truman made a masterpiece. this music is bittersweet. the end of an era which deserved to go on for longer. Vice could easily have gone on for a few more years. other, lesser shows managed it. i wish they do a sequel mini series.
Brilliant .. I have the chills listening to this. Thank You for this song, listening to it almost cries .. amazing song with such a dose of nostalgia that it knocks .. :). The scene itself is just brilliant and it defines the 80's, Miami etc..
I wish they would, but I saw an interview with Don not long ago saying the show was a product of its time and could never be recreated, so it sounds like he's against it, sadly.
Truely the end of an era.. If there ever was a definite "the 80s are over" tune, this is it.
Just finished Miami vice for the first time! What a series finale. Best TV show ever!!
Saddest music I ever heard.. that exact moment when the 80s died 💔

@@martycastillo5231 it's not the Sheena Easton song. It's just a instrumental song when Sonny was in the hospital with Rico.

Careful you're not missing S01 E21- Evan... I hear that ne is hard to get ahold of where it's available for streaming.
@@BigFox86 It's only available on DVD or Bluray.
Truman did so good in the last season of Miami Vice. Awesome.

I understand, I was almost 17 when the finale aired. I remember watching it vividly and it still moves me all these years later.

Micheal Mann used this track on his movie 'LA Takedown' too.(which was later remade into the film Heat)
Tim Truman did the soundtrack for the movie, multiple vice tracks reused 👍🏻

crockett: i'm gonna miss you man.
tubbs: i'm gonna miss you too sonny.
It was the only way.
incluided in the tv movie of michael mann ...l.a. takedown
This reminds me alot of "To Heal" by Underworld
It also reminds me of Brian Eno's An Ending
Have you seen Miami vice on TV?
Not in a long time. Good thing we have the DVDs and Blu-rays.
@@martycastillo5231 I Have it on blue ray
@@videogamingvideos I found out yesterday it's on Peacock, the new NBC streaming service.
First question popping into mind after watching MV series finale: will Crockett & Tubbs ever see each other again?
I wish they would, but I saw an interview with Don not long ago saying the show was a product of its time and could never be recreated, so it sounds like he's against it, sadly.
