Who started this war? Israel in 2007 when it blockaded the population of Gaza in 2007. A blockade, that is to say the act of starving a population, is an act of war in itself ! Not counting the dozens of bombing offensives that Israel has committed on Gaza in recent years, more Palestinians were killed in 2014 than Israelis on October 7, You learning about war now because you were never interested in it. As for Hamas, Israel has financed and supported it for years, whether by encouraging money transfers to Qatar or by assassinating all the Gazan leaders of Fatah. It is well known and even Netanyahu was admitted it! Israel needed Hamas, and Islamist movements were funded by Israel for decades to fight against the secular Palestinian left, and now you are complaining about the consequences? Israel seeks to expel all Christians from the West Bank and has destroyed 3 churches and killed 100 Christians in Gaza since October 7. Are Christians also playing into the hands of Hamas?

And these are only the deaths of the last 20 years obviously. Palestinians were already massacred by the thousands when they were all secular, during the PLO era. The Palestinians proposed peace with the Oslo Accords, to have their sovereign state alongside Israel, Israel, which was extremely favored by its agreements, never applied these agreements and never gave a state to the Palestinians. Even before October 7, polls showed that the majority of Palestinians were in favor of living alongside Israelis, while a majority of Israelis were against. Israel chose war in 1993, not the Palestinians.

For context, Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th crossing over from Gaza into Israel where Hamas killed over a thousand Israeli citizens and kidnapped over two hundred.
In response, Israel declared war and up until now is trying to rescue the kidnapped Israeli hostages.
The talks passingly mentioned at the start of the video is about the hostages.
Pro terrorist reports like to conveniently never mention hostages. Because that would mean someone kidnapped civilians and that goes against the narrative.

Sadly others like Shani Louk was not so lucky. Shani was the one taken at the back of the white pickup truck half naked and spit on by Palestinian men in civilian clothes. IDF found skull fragments confirming Hamas killed Shani Louk after parading her around at the back of their truck.
They killed well under a thousand civilians - many of those who died in Israel were Israeli soldiers and police officers - legitimate targets of war. Not to mention many Israeli civilians were killed by Israel

If you’re talking about Gaza during the war, here’s the super complicated and very incomprehensible (sarcasm) answer: They can’t. There is a tall wall with barbed wire, automated guns, and watch towers. It surrounds the entirety of Gaza. The sea is blockaded by Israel. Neither Israel nor Egypt will open the only doors in/out for all of them.

Israel has every right to defend itself, but Gaza’s civilians are innocent. Israel can not and should not use collective punishment on Gaza’s civilians to achieve its political goals, this will only lead to its deteriorated moral ground in the international society.
Elections have consequences.
These aren’t political goals, it’s basic security for its people. And it is all on Hamas, which can surrender and give back the hostages and stop these atrocities at any moment.

If the Israeli government cared about security first and foremost, they wouldn't have been moving their civilian population into occupied Palestinian territory for the last 50 years. There has been decades of failed leadership on both sides that has lead to this point. And regardless of that, Israel still has legal obligations to safeguard Palestinian civilians. The heavy handed approaches by Israel and the implementation of collective punishment has completely failed over the decades, only leading to more violence and prolonging the conflict.

If the US Govt really cared, they would have started slowing down the free military aid to Israel many years ago and thus compel the Israeli regime to reach a fair and just settlement with the palestinians.
