Bandana is an excellent idea to collect shavings, etc. Beautiful stream and setting. Thanks for sharing!

When you hear Blue Jays making a commotion, always check to see what they’re mad about. They might be trying to chase off a snake.

Dan, beautiful country you're in. Makes you want to build a small one-room cabin for a get away.
Even if you didn't build a full cabin a three-sided Adirondak style shelter would work pretty good for a get away.
That's a good fire kit and I'm going to bet you always carry your back-up knife (along with your primary) on your body at all times. Cheap insurance.
Another thing. Consider using an orange cord (550 would be okay) to attach the firesteel to its striker. If you drop the firesreel/striker it will be easier to find on the forest floor. More cheap insurance. On the first season of 'Alone' Joe Robinet found out the hard way regarding laying his firesteel on the ground and not being able to find it.

    Good kit Dan!
Folks, 100% COTTON material like a bandana can be charred and used for future firemaking.
    Beautiful countryside too! 😊

Great video on the things that covered but the one thing I would do is take that child safety guard off that Bic Lighter, you'll find that it's easier to use even with gloves on. I agree with redundancy, one is none and two is one.

i think those little cotton swabs are rifle cleaning swabs, that you can buy in bulk from midway
