Today has been an emotional rollercoaster. As I was welding I thought I was certain I could hear the billionaire’s limousine pulling up to deliver my check so I could start building the wings, but I turned out to be just the UPS man delivering to the house across the street.
Oh well. I’ve come this far without his money. I might as well keep on trucking.
The canopy looks much better, not that it didn't look good before. Big difference.
Keep up the great work Brian. She's coming along just nicely, despite the heat!

steven spielberg and hbo were filming band of brothers, the sequel series to saving private ryan, at this old aircraft factory where i was at uni. i nearly failed my course because he was paying £75 per day and we were otherwise on something like £5 if we lucky. anyway, the abandoned factory was fenced off and one lunchtime i had to risk it. the wing panel press was three storeys high, two and a half deep. 10 thousand ton or something silly! 🙂
What type of plane?
@@B36HPeacemaker it was dehavilland factory in hatfield. i think it was the last airliner they made in the sixties. i was climbing all up and down the machine totally oblivious to what would have happened if i'd fell and twist my ankle. amazing though. i was walking around a factory that probably had 20 thousand staff per shift like i owned the place!
