[Note: I'm hard on dolls, especially when reorganizing. Know that going in, LOL.] I'm spring cleaning! I have been using the boxes 12packs of bottled beer come in. Since my family is going to buy them anyway, I get them for free and the compartments each hold a doll and I can see what I have! Ultimate recycling 😂

I collect only 80's Barbie doll from 1980-1986 and because I know i don't have much room for a huge Barbie collection like you do, i really need to focus on what i want in my collection and what i don't want, so before i started to collecting my 80's Barbie's i wrote all the names of the Barbie's that i really want down on paper and focus only on those Barbie's so my collection won't be more then 30-40 Barbie dolls, so now I have a well-organized Barbie collection and i enjoy more of my collection then a confusing collection, now I can take a good look at all my barbie's one by one,

I am "spring cleaning" right now. I only found 4 dolls so far to part with 😶 I avoid to look at them for too long and put them in a box. It does not look good! I prefer to not know how many dolls I have. It probably would make me cry 😭.The other day I was thinking... if you have 10 dolls of 10 different doll lines you end up with 100 dolls. It freaked me out. Better improve my let go skills before the car boot sales reopen. 😲😳🥺😏
Aw thank you! I think the process of cleaning helps a lot. Even just moving them around makes it feel new. But yeah, I can’t think about the math either. 😆
I love that you made a comprehensive video on this. As your collection grows, you start to learn that downsizing has to become a part of being a collector. To make room for more, or just get rid of what doesn't serve you anymore. I'd like to see more of this type of content in the doll community

I only have a fraction as many dolls as you do, but I jave a tiny apartment regretfully. But even with less than 50 dolls total ( 30 are BJDs) i decided to do a mini purge before Christmas. I donated the purged dolls to my church's charity drive. It felt good to re-home dolls with kids who wouldn't be able to afford them.

Cute collection ! I really like the look of a crowded shelf. Id be interested in a spring doll trade/swap 😊 I also go through a purge every now and again. I currently have 724 barbies from 60s to the 90s. I really like 80s and 90s barbie best! I also love vintage Barbie houses and all accessories that go in them ! I have a ridiculous amount of barbie clothing and shoes.

My collection has reached over 600. I also have 3 vintage dream houses, two dream townhouses, fashion plaza,cars,horses, furniture etc. I've downsized as much as my barbie obsessed heart could. This has inspired me a bit so maybe I'll try again to downsize. 🤔

Impressive collection. Last time I counted my one cabinet had 101 dolls in it. I have not done a serious count, but now I am curious, hehehe. Having a spouse that shares your love for these dolls helps a lot. I also still have an extra Malibu Ken doll head if you ever want to replace the Zombie one. :)

It is always so much fun to watch your video's. Thank you for sharing. I think one never has to many dolls. For myself, I only have dolls on display which are wearing outfits (and some wigs, shoes and face ups) made by me. I recently organized my doll display and stored all the other dolls in boxes. Now I feel less overwhelmed.

If you can, look for those large Boba tea straws cut them into quarters, and you can put them on each leg by cutting the backs of the straws and slipping it on the front of the leg. I’ve done this to protect the ankles, and it really helps.

This is quite inspiring! I need to downsize my collection a bit as well. I have over 1300 dolls from the early 70s to now (2 from the 60s), most brands. My doll room is a 1-car garage that was converted into a room. My husband built shelving units along the walls, but everyone's crowded there. I have a ton of duplicates because I rebody a lot of dolls to MtM/articulated. I also got a little obsessive about getting all the Fashionistas. There are at least 100 dolls I could probably let go of easily.
What an amazing collection you have! 🤩 As much as I'd love to have more room, the limited space does force me to keep my collection down. But I'm definitely in awe of large collections and I secretly want like an entire doll library. 😉

I just go back into Barbies bc of my granddaughter. My collection is growing fast, especially now that I make doll rooms. I've basically have been storing mine the same as you. How I would love some of the dolls you no longer want. Love your collection btw❤

I store my dolls in a 5 drawer cabinet, various stages needs cleaded, cleaned, hair done dressed ready for display. My hubby just bought me the whole twighlight series dolls they were opened an displayed right away being new. Mosof my dolls are preowned. Im a out of box collector as well. I have storaged barbies. Total babrbies over 300. I love your videos tfs.

I'm genuinely curious how you play with your dolls. Your set up seems really fun and vibrant. As an adult collector, I just don't know how to connect with my dolls.
Hi! Mostly it's setting up scenes and having them live in that world for a while. Husband is an artist and we do an annual Barbie art show. We also did a video recreating a bunch of our favorite scenes/quotes from movies with Barbie. That was fun! Great question! 😀

Hi! I just use an inexpensive Pantene spray-in leave-on conditioner diluted in water. I like the scent too.

225?! We’ll see! Aah I was so close lol was going to say 250 😂😂 I have no idea how many dolls I have right now but I definitely need to figure it out it’s a goal for this year lol. As for storage I actually started using some of those over the door hanging organizers they have some really nice ones that are sturdy. And I can easily see all my dolls in there too. I don’t like having mine stored away in bins either but I do have 2 bins one with my maybe dolls that I might be ready to give away that I will revisit and another with ones that I’ve gotten second hand and have washed them but they need some repair work yet. The work of a doll collector never ends 😅❤ lol but I love it! Love your new display you did a great job letting go! 💕 you guys are so funny! Loving all your videos loved the one with your sister you are so cute together. I watched it on my tv so I couldn’t comment.

I wish i was more free spirited with my collection like this, id make more progress but i am so picky about their hair that i keot closing my eyes when they were being dumped out lol especially the chinese one where her hair is wrapped up top strategically because ive bought 4 of her until i found one that had perfect hair lol but this is also why i habe my house overflowing with over 100k dolls all over every room 😂 ive been told i have the biggest collection they have ever seen but it's overwhelming to me so i dont get to enjoy them like this. I totally understand! I hugely admire folks who have beautiful, pristine, perfect dolls. For me, it's more about reliving the happiness of playing with them as a kiddo. I sometimes caveat my collection videos with "I'm hard on my dolls." 😆Almost all of my collection is secondhand, so they're often already well-loved when they come to me. I think that's what makes me feel okay with not treating them like museum pieces. Plus, when they get unkempt, it's very satisfying for me to spruce up their hair and clothes. They'll never be wonderfully perfect like yours are though! 🤩❤

I don't get why you remove the shoes and jewelry of the ones in the file folder boxes. How do you keep them from getting separated or lost from the doll?
Great question! I rarely keep dolls in their original outfits so if I’m not displaying the dolls, I like their shoes and jewelry available for dressing up other dolls 👍

To be honest i only got the Bowie Barbie because i'm a fan. Don’t really like her wish she was a male doll in his likeness instead. The suit is nice though.
