I collect because I never got Barbie as a kid. My twin sister despised anything girlie, thus I went without. Now Barbie and collecting are my little friends, and they bring me sooooo much happiness. I unbox all to free them and play with them. 💝💖🌟

I have the May/Emerald Birthstone Beauty that I bought at Walmart when they were released in 2007. I remember that it was hard to choose one since they were all gorgeous and now I wish I had bought more of them. One of the things I like about doll collecting is all the interesting people I've met through the hobby that I never would have met in my day to day life.

I started collecting Barbies a year ago along with my grown daughter. I was given a Midge doll for Christmas in the early 60’s, I am sorry to say I was disappointed because I had asked for a Barbie. Boy do I wish I still had my old Midge! Anyway when I saw the Steffie face Midge I fell in love and now have the rewind version and would absolutely love the Barbie Delux Midge! Collecting dolls is a way to connect with my daughter and relive my childhood.

I love dolls! Ever since I was a little girl. Barbies were played with dialy. Especially being an only child, I had to entertain myself a lot. And now my little girl is a red head, and I want her to feel the way I did about dolls when I was a girl. Finding one's that look like her can be hard for sure.

I also bought two of Birthday Beauties as soon as I had checked our local targets for a few weeks after the Midge chase variant began appearing on IG and someone leaked the serial number to try to attain the ever elusive Red Haired beauty. Collecting dolls reminds me of sitting in the middle of my grandparents' living room playing with youngest aunt's dolls with my mom. My mom loved Barbie & always made sure I had plenty.

I LOVE MIDGE! She’s my favorite. I love collecting and redressing my dolls. I originally started collecting only Vintage dolls & focused on collecting Midge and dressing her in all of Barbie’s vintage fashions. I’ve since have branched into re-purchasing my favorite dolls from my childhood era. I enjoy displaying my dolls and consider time each doll as a time capsule of history. I have always wanted to know more about this face mold, So glad I found you. I love that you know so much history about this facemold. I have always loved Barbie. Especially, since growing up with her and her many friends. I think I got a "Francine" and a "Stacey" with this face mold as a child. And they were two of my favorites. Then when I noticed many finding this facemold again on Instagram and here, I felt I needed to know more. Thanks again for your information. I’ve been collecting dolls since my grandmother bought them for me as a child. She always loved Barbie and got me a Holiday Barbie every year. I loved the fashions of the dolls and all the play sets as well. My favorites are vintage 80s and 90s dolls

I loved Barbie as a kid, then starting collecting a bit in college, but couldn't really afford to collect many. Now in my 50s, my love for collecting and now creating Barbie dioramas started a few years back, when a huge mass on my thyroid was discovered. I had to wait several monthsfor surgery and needed a distraction. Here I am, two dollhouses, several dolls, and about 20 dioramas later, a successful surgery and recovery, enjoying Barbie once again!

Steffie is a favorite of mine. I hope I can find the new 2025 Steffie.

I started out 3 years ago buying a few dolls to use for models to sew clothes for my sister's great grand daughter...it is now a passion to get new dolls, vintage dolls and dolls that need to be cleaned up (rescued). Just love the fashions.

I started collecting with Architect Barbie back in 2012. As an adult man I had not told many people about my collection. However I've recently embraced it openly and have a little window display at my architecture office with rotating barbie scenes themed to holidays and local events :) I love the design aspect that goes into creating a miniature world. Every time that a someone walks by and expresses joy with my display it makes me smile :)

I'm not sure that I can pinpoint one thing that makes me a Barbie Collector. I have my original Barbie from the 60's along with my sisters. I have never lost the thrill of finding Barbie items or 1:6 scale for Barbie. After babysitting I would hit the local Zellers store and go directly to the Barbie section and drool over all the outfits and pick something I could afford. I never go into a department store without visiting the Barbie aisle. lol As I got older I would search flea markets and garage sales. My son, when he was little would say " Oh no there goes mom after the Barbie stuff." lol I just love Barbie Dolls and if I could have I would have had a dedicated room for her. I turn 70 this year and my love for Barbie has never waned. I would love to have a limited addition collector doll to join my girls. " I'm a Raggedy Ann living in a Barbie world".

Collecting dolls as an adult brings back some wonderful memories from my childhood. Dolls were my escape from reality when I was little, I could create my own world where I felt like I belong without ridicule.

Modern Circle Melody is for sure the Twist n Turn head sculpt. TNTs are dated 1966 as she came out in 1967 (not 1962 or 64) It's the same reason twist waist Barbie bods are dated 1966, as the copyright date. Barbie parts history is complicated and can be confusing...lol. But I think we all agree on a love of Steffie!

The thing I love most about dolls and collecting is connecting to the history behind it. History of toys, history of fashion, the history of collecting itself! Especially when hearing stories from older relatives or older collectors about the different ways they collected or enjoyed their dolls through the decades. It's a joy to hear all different kinds of stories like that, and to add to the story through my own collecting and eventually become part of that history.

Loved Barbie and the Rockers and Derek was the STAR when he came out my Nieces loved him (so did I ) he had his own look the hair and face sculpt the only sill thing was hids neck joint .... Dream Date came out in 1982 Derek in 1986 so why did they not give Derek a swivel head ?? silly move . If he is re released hope he has a fully pose able head

I adore your Hawaiian Barbie, how lucky you were to get it from your Grandmother ❤ and be your first Steffie. My first Steffie face mold was my Perfume Pretty Whitney, and I agree there was something about the face that stood out compared to my Superstar Barbies. This inspires me to dig my childhood one out and give her some attention and see if I can bring her back to her original glory.

I enjoy collecting dolls because it's like an escape into a fantasy world for a while. The Steffie face sculpt is my favorite but unfortunately, eBay prices have been way too high for me. Thank you for sharing your videos with us!

As a puppeteer, creating a collection of characters is what makes me most happy! Growing up in the U.S. in the '80s, I learned the German word "Puppe" means both doll AND puppet! Yes I absolutely love the Steffie face, it's my favorite 😍 Miss July is my fave of the birthstones because red is my favorite color 😎 My birthday is in January so my birthstone is garnet but I always preferred rubies 👍 I do have some Steffies maybe 4 or 5 but you're right I would add her anyday I could have 100 of them 😆 I got my daughter the February doll when they came out since it's her birth month & I wanted to buy them all 😂 My 2nd favorite is the Bob Mackie face & my 3rd is Superstar Barbie 😃

I love collecting Barbies. I have tried for the last 2 years to attend the National Barbie Doll Collector's Convention, but only got on the wait list. My 70th Birthday is in March and I can't think of a better present tan the Midge doll. I enjoy your videos.
