Basically after the forgetting spell worked in NWH, Peter changed his name to Nathan Drake, quit his job as Spider-Man to the point where he doesn’t have his powers as much anymore, and decided to have a taste of crime.
Ik. I went into this movie thinking ok it ain’t gonna be as good as the games but this could be a good take on the games. Sure enough I was surprised, Tom actually did a great job portraying Nathan Drake, he’s got the personality, humor and made it his own. I was a bit skeptical on Mark Wahlberg as Sully but he actually did a pretty good job none the less. I enjoyed myself with this movie.
I agree , i went in this movie with an opened mind and by the end. I was satisfied with Tom hollands take on the character , and personally we get to see more of it in the future.
@@ZachMaster26 I personally think the appearance of the character should also be as close to the original as possible. I understand it can’t always be identical, but you can get damn close. Some movies don’t even try though, but Tom looks like he could be a young version of Drake, maybe before a growth spurt.
Unfortunately Mark Wahlberg got pushed out of the role of Nate because they changed the entire script around and wanted to do young Nate because of Uncharted 4, so he just got pushed into the role of Sully to keep him in the movie. He's not a terrible Sully but he definitely would've played a fantastic Nathan Drake I think.
@@carlstanley3718 it’s been said that he does that to help himself. He says funny stuff and makes jokes to help relax himself when he’s fighting villains.
One good reason I dislike this movie is because the relationship in the games is more like the friendly mentor, protege type with some snappy comebacks towards each other, this is more like two bitter rivals forced to work together.
@@colindowden2182 I know and of course he’s playing this role differently to how he’d play James Bond that makes sense but he wants the role of James Bond and I think he might have been using his performance here to in some ways promote himself as James Bond. Personally I don’t see it, Do you?
@@MichaelBakerFilmmaking Holland as james bond? The only person who's fit for that role is henry cavil as henry actually look like he hit puberty. Tom at best could be Q, but they probably give it to a black actor because Hollywood sure love race swap.

Even if Tom Holland doesn’t fit the traditional role of Nathan Drake, you gotta admit, he definitely has the snark of Drake. 🤣🤣🤣

It was more about the attitude and mannerism than the physical appearance of the character.
