Big Jim built me a mountain monarch a couple of years ago, the most beautiful wood and amazing craftsmanship that I've ever seen, I highly recommend his bows

Jim can do some amazing things. I ordered a Thunderchild from him about 2 years ago. He was able to incorporate part of an old Osage fence post my Dad cut back in the fifties, an arrowhead that my Mom found, and some pieces of a couple of white-tailed deer sheds I found. This was all from our family farm. He asked me a few questions about the design and I told him that he was the artist, just do whatever he thought looked the best. Needless to say, it is a beautiful bow!

I’d love to see that! I’m beginner bowyer and long time carpenter. I love Jim’s bows and take a lot of info from the videos he does have up there. I’m about to go full throttle into bow building it’s just an amazing process and hope to be as good as big Jim one day soon

Been thinking about getting a bow from Jim for about a year. Hopefully putting a deposit on one next month. In my opinion he is at the top of the list for bowyers.

I just put a deposit on a desert bighorn. I was just about to buy a cheap $250 used bow but after a long sleepless night I decided to just pull the trigger on my first bow from Big Jim. Ive wanted one for a long time. Im going to ask for something unique that I wont see anywhere else and see what he comes up with. I definitely want horns or antler inlays and hopefully the beaver tail grip.

Dream come true. I'm planning on doing the same this spring (next spring bow)

@@standingwolfarchery absolutely a dream come true!!! I can't wait to see what you order. Every one of his bows are so beautiful. Its hard to decide which one to buy. I started with a 3 piece recurve and will eventually want to hunt with it and use it on 3-D courses. I really love the speed of a 3 piece.

@@standingwolfarchery the waiting list is 14 months. I just remembered you said you wanted one by next spring. I know the waiting time used to be 12 months.
