    So so true coming out from under a machine with overhead press to a free bar is completely a different ball game. Great video

    I think mobility is the number one thing that hinders people from progressing. I know, even myself have issues with thoracic mobility and it’s something I have to continue to work on.

    Great video guys. And really great sound in this video. Looks like some new microphones? Good stuff!
    I just did shoulders this morning BTW. I should've opened up UA-cam before the gym.

    I had quit OHP (behind the neck press) for some time (because I didn't like my traps growing too big),
    this video is motivating me to start doing them again and I do have a 'slot' open in my shoulder days for one exercise for 1 or 2 sets.
    Or wait ! maybe I should start doing the seated dumbell Y Press, less traps more side delts.
    Decisions decisions!

      11:26 never done that, but I can imagine that would be a killer, would need a very strong core to brace properly, I don't think I have the core strength to do that, but yeah that seems like an exercise I would love because of it's multi benefits

      Agreed behind the neck wood incorporate a lot of upper trap. Definitely try the regular barbell overhead press it should be a lot more front dealt and if you want, you could even super said it with the seated dumbbell wide press to get some side activation.

      The Z. press is super nasty, especially if you’ve never done it before! It forces you to use really strict form for the overhead press. Give it a try and let us know what you think. I’d be curious to hear.💪💪

      @@88FitnessTraining Oh wow! now you say it it does make sense why behind the neck grew my traps too much, it makes sense, didn't think of it like that! thank you.
      And yeah the regular I think I might skip too, the front delts get too dominant compared to rear delts and I get a front to back sloping look when viewed from the side on the shoulders as the fronts raise too high while the rears don't protrude enough to give a square look on the side profile. Genetics.
      I think I'll give the Z press and seated overhead dumbell Y press a set each in shoulder days, but I'm already fearing the Z press lol.

    • @88FitnessTraining
      @88FitnessTraining  18 днів тому +2

      Just means you need to work rear delts and side delts a little more. I would recommend doing mostly dumbbell presses if you want to avoid a lot of front delt activation!
