Wow Chip finally got a little weight on him....always one of my favorite bassists that Elvin had...working for Elvin as a tech I had a few opportunities to meet Chip who came to listen and check his old boss out...one night hanging with the Billy Taylor Trio at the Jazz Alley in Seattle, and one night at the Blue Note in NYC hanging in the dressing room; a cool guy, and consumate gentleman!
