Great video….We stayed 2 night in the west tower. Our room number was 8106. It was on the ground floor in a hallway at the Tangled and Peter Pan mosaic murals right near the skyliner hub. This is (hands down) the best room I’ve ever stayed in while visiting WDW! If ur gonna pay this price I hope you can get a room like the one we had!
Thank you for the comment and question! You only get a 7 month booking window for non-home resorts, so it can be difficult during the holidays for sure. That being said, it can be a bit easier for the larger room types because the studios are less points and in higher demand, so studios get booked up first. As you get to 2-BD and 3-BD, you'll be able to book a bit later. Good luck and have a great trip!
We hear you! The new restrictions make you really think about why you're buying and what you want from membership. Having the 11mo booking window is important for booking there, particularly if you want a studio. As one of the sleep-5 studio resorts, it's a great value. Resale was our first contract (AK) before any restrictions, and even with them, a resale at the original resorts gives you a lot of options - just not Riviera :( - However, the price spread between resale and direct isn't too dramatic for Riviera, so you may consider buying direct and then you have access to book at the other resorts too...having the skyliner, fireworks views, right next to Caribbean Beach (we love that resort too!)...we really love Riviera...and whether it was direct or resale, we haven't regretted buying DVC a single second! You'll feel great whatever you decide. Let us know what you end up doing, we'd love to hear!
This is just a GORGEOUS resort! ...if you like Italian sandwiches, Bar Riva has the absolute best (in our opinion). We didn’t realize how much The sky liner would factor into how much we love this resort...but it’s so great! Hope you have fun! Let us know how you liked your stay!

Stayed in a studio here in January- loved it! Have a one bedroom booked for August - can’t wait!
