Cameron Grimes is the prime example of calling up nxt stars to the main roster without a real plan for them. I feel bad for the guy 😢
Personally I don't see the issue with not wanting to spot someone because if they do end up needing a spot on something like a squat and you're not accustomed to doing so then you're going to look bad if something goes wrong and personally I believe it's possible to have good workouts with progressive overloading without depending on a spotter
Its ok for him to say No, but i don't think he should complain about People asking him to spot. If he doesn't want to be bothered, then he should get a Private gym. He has the money to afford it. Public interactions is what comes with being in a public space, ESPECIALLY if you're a recognizable public figure. Get a private/home Gym.

@@srttp2 He didn't just pay to go to the gym. He paid to go to a PUBLIC Gym. Jey is smart enough to know that Being in public as a public figure comes with public interactions. It's part of the package. if you don't want to interact with people, then instead of complaining, get a private/home gym.
Going to a public gym as a celebrity and Complaining about people asking you to spot them is like moving to Alaska without a jacket and complaining that it's cold outside. It comes with the package.
Dude that's why safeties is a thing it's better than spotting someone in a squat which can be somewhat uncomfortable for men if there married and they help out a women on squats which is nice and respectful but it can cause problems with relationships

I dont understand these so called gym ethicates. Everyone has right to privacy. I don't like spoting for strangers either, i am not being an asshole , I just want to enjoy my workout.

My take is space is everything. Doesn't matter who u are, uce famous. Too many people shouldn't be around him anyways. Messing up his vibe making him paranoid. U never know what people will do these days.
If jey was in the middle of doing a set, then i can see why he said that, i go to a local gym and some people disturb me multiple times to spot them, i try to tell them wait till i'm done but if they be persistant, thats when i'll tell them no, it happens, so i can see where jey is coming from, but if he wasn't in a set he could've easily done it, but sometimes people just want their privacy
I don’t blame Jey uso if he wants to not be bothered while he’s working out in the gym they should respect that but if he wants to have someone spot him while the same fan wants to take a pic with him then it’s no harm no foul. At the end of the day it’s all about respecting the wrestler’s space.

I have been saying this since i first saw the women’s tag titles, THEY NEED TO HAVE 2 MIDCARD WOMENS TITLES! There are so many talented women on the roster that can really benefit from having a women’s Midcard title.
What really doesn’t make any sense is that wwe called up NXT guys like Cameron grimes to the main roster only to not do anything else for him in terms of storyline booking? This reminds me to what they did with Keith lee in 2021 when they fumbled the ball in his push before being released. Cameron was actually one of the best things about NXT black and gold especially his fued with La night.

He wants to get a workout in, not be social. Does he not do enough interacting with fans when he's working? So be it. Besides, "just work out a private gym or at home"?. Yeah, that's what you or I would do but he travels a lot for work. I'm sure it's exhausting for him to just try and have his time only to be constantly hassled by fans interrupting him and asking him to spot them or whatever just so they can say that they worked out with him. If he's not working in character, leave him alone.

I don't have a problem with the concept of women's midcard championship but it only makes sense if there are sufficient number of women in the company. For each belt they need atleast 5-7 contenders to challenge. If we add add women's IC and US title there needs to be atleast 40-50 good women's wrestler on the roster. The best they can do is introduce one mid card belt at most.
Spotting someone in the gym is normal. However when it comes to people like Jey, I gotta respect his decision. People will use the spot as a way to interact with Jey and maybe get a pic with him. Maybe it happened to him in the past and that's why he's voicing it on IG

I think that adding two women's mid card titles would be problematic as live PLEs have a limited number of matches amyway. So some titles will be bound to left out. Undisputed, World Heavyweight, US, IC, Women's WWE, Women's World, three different tag titles. Yeah this is looking rough. Maybe one mid card women's title can be squeezed in. I see that this is the only legitimate problem to adding two mid card women's titles.

The problem isn’t the gym etiquette the problem is discouraging people to ask for spots in the gym cuz you don’t want to bother someone. A lot of people already feel bad asking and putting that out there is gonna have people double thinking if they should ask someone for a spot or do a lift dangerously.

The main roster at the Raw/Smackdown level needs just 1 midcard title and allow interaction on both shows just as they only need a single women's top championship & tag titles, float the belts and those titles between the 2 brands and have NXT have it's own thing if it's 'deveolpmental'

WWE might be the best thing that's happened to Logan Paul. Remember when Orton first joined (Randy fan btw) he was cocky and kind of a dick, but then wrestling and becoming a father changed that! Logan's done a lot wrong but he clearly is making some good choices!
I do agree that a women's mid card title would be beneficial, but I think Becky said this once. They need to be in a meaningful feuds outside of the title picture.
There’s not enough women stars (and story lines the fans care about) for the 2 world championships they already have. Adding mid card titles would be like the tag titles, another set of belts the people wouldn’t care about or have time on TV for. Let’s improve the 2 divisions we already have instead of adding more.

For those defending Jey, we get it. He deserves to not be bothered in public like the rest of us. But let’s not act like he went about this in the best way. He could be more nice when he’s addressing this to fans, the people who keep him relevant. I’m starting to notice a mean streak against fans ever since he pushed that guy at the Raw in Vancouver. He seems to kinda resent some fans, don’t really care for it. You can ask for all the space you need and be pissed off that majority of people may not respect that, but man is lacking grace and composure. People are just excited to see you, and in his job, that’s a double edged sword, but more importantly he should be grateful people still pop for him.
I'm not a fan of the woman's championships being the same as the men's, but with a white strap, I would like all championships to have unique designs or names, like every tag title rn in WWE is easy to tell apart

In his defence, it could be that he may not be confident spotting someone. At his level he knows the importance of spotting someone. Just wrong execution
Jey has the right to choose if he wants to help spot you or not, but the problem for me is that he seemed to react to it childishly. If you're in a public gym, then it would be most likely that you could be asked to spot (unless you have earbuds on). We don't know the full story, so, this is all I can say about it.
Edit: when I mean childish, I mean it as more of how impulsive it seems for him to have written that statement. He has his own boundaries and we gotta respect that.
It's not a big deal. Jey Uso is stating & enforcing his boundaries. The people who feel offended by this are ppl who feel entitled to invade someone's space.
Just because you're a fan of someone, that doesn't you're entitled to their space & time wherever you see them outside of their place of work.
And if you feel differently, then the odds are that they don't want you as a fan.
A big problem with the women's division that a midcard title would help is that it's very difficult to distinguish between the women's midcard and main event scene. You got people like Maxine Dupri (Who I do like) in the battle royal to decide the new World Champion because the World Championship is the only title there is for her to compete for. It's rare that a man comes up from NXT and wins the big one within a year, but not that uncommon for the women because they just don't have an established midcard. A women's Intercontinental and US championship could go such a long way

Imo I don’t think Jey is in the wrong, he’s a wrestler and maintaining he’s body it’s literally he’s job and Jey isn’t just somebody who can blend in normally and go to any gym and not get recognized. Surely he must be tired of people going up to him because they know who he is.

Jey Uso time, his choice. No one has to do what others want you to do, thats life, "it aint that deep." If someone says no, move onto the next person to help, not everyone has additional time to give others in the Gym, time may be limited #Facts . You go to the Gym to do your own thing, if you are on the same machine may be, you spot each other, it is'nt a moral obligation or a Gym rule code of conduct. If you are no where near them or that piece of equipment move on. I also go to a normal Gym and work out properly, just to snuff out that assumption. I don't like people talking to me during workout, earphones on, not there to make friends or to spot in my time.
People need to stop pushing onto people what you think others should do, that's on you if you don't mind spotting and have the time to do it, no one else has to do it (REALITY HURTS.) We all have choices. No one in a Gym or out, should have a sense of entitlement with other peoples Lives, choices or time. Gosh leave the man alone, he is entitled to just look after his self and his own Leisure needs, he barely has family time, I can imagine he goes to the Gym he just wants to zone out and get through the work out and the day. Leave him be to do what he wants to. 🙄 Are you his keeper, NO!
