thanks! i use it for all kinds of things, magic effects, fire, ice, water, acid you name it! link in the description if you wanna get a hold of some :)
Found you in DnDIY reddit. Seems that you and I are in a similar situation. I have also started a D&D/Crafting channel recently. Your stuff is cool, and your videos have a different approach than mine. You explain more (and actually talk), while I just edit so the tutorials are short (and perhaps satisfying?)and throw in some music. The quality of this video is comparable to Black Magic Craft's, in my opinion. Definitely subbed!
Thanks so much for the kind words :) Just checked out your channel and you have some AWESOME stuff just subbed :) Would love to talk shop/ideas with you
@Critical Crafting I think Im drybrushing but I don't honestly know the difference. Undercoats are dry. I dip brush in white, wipe off most of the paint and then quick shorter strokes to put it on
Bromos, Sunstar Ranger I have not, though I did try some regular hot glue sticks and they worked out ok, just took a lot more finicky work that the straight liquid nails.
At the end, it looked great. But it really looked like you were kind of experimenting and making it up as you go along. Which is fine, but I think it's better if you're honest about it. Because new crafters need learn it's trial and error most of the time.
How long did this take you overall? Would be great to have an idea of estimated work time! Obviously it would vary per person but would be interesting to see how long it takes you anyways! Can't wait to see more terrain and creature builds, the bone golem is awesome!
That is a great idea to post time estimates! Looking at my footage each one of these pieces took around 1.5hrs not counting drying time. I hope that helps!
@@josephrogers5298 it is a pretty easy build honestly, I'll be sure to keep a more accurate recored moving forward and leave time estimates in the description
Gonna be catching up on your vids today man , on another note have you ever seen the movie Conan the destroyer ? If you haven't i recommend it the whole movie is full of cool battle areas such as mountain palace , an ice castle and a forbidden crypt , well I hope I help you in your craft I tend to be a muse when artist get stuck , btw awesome video the ice structures are superb.
Incredible detail. Amazing job, Dillon! So happy you're getting started sharing your work on here :)

@@CriticalCrafting We can share thought and ideas for sure!
Subscribed to you both. Cant wait to see more of your builds.
Great video, definitely seemed like the audio levels were a bit quiet & variable.
Looks amazing!
Nicely done
Would you recommend the liquid nail over hot glue for the hanging icy effects?
Hands down yes, I tried both and the liquid nails gave me a MUCH better effect
Came here from Reddit, loved what I saw. Have a sub!
My white drybrush layers keep blending/the blue bleeds through. It doesn't look like yours does, how do you avoid this happening?
Are you using the white's as a drybrush layer? Or as a blending layer?
@Critical Crafting I think Im drybrushing but I don't honestly know the difference. Undercoats are dry. I dip brush in white, wipe off most of the paint and then quick shorter strokes to put it on
great video! instead of liquid nails have you tried crystal clear hot glue sticks?
Bromos, Sunstar Ranger I have not, though I did try some regular hot glue sticks and they worked out ok, just took a lot more finicky work that the straight liquid nails.

Have you ever made a vocanic terrain. for lava beasts or fire dragons
Hi Joshua, YES! I made some modular lava terrain, super fast and easy, I will add it to my list of videos to do :)
