2 reasons why I love this scene. First it's refreshing to see the girl be the fault for a break up. To often they portray the guy as the stupid one who caused the relationship to fall through. Second, one of the most emotional scenes in the show and it was done by Superboy. 'Stealth mode scream' Superboy. I love when they don't make characters one dimensional. NOW GIVE ME SEASON 3 ALREADY DAMNIT!!!

I agree but I hated that they got back together. After what Megan did I don't think Conner would ever trust her again. It could've worked if Conner had simply forgiven her after seeing that she changed but definitely not getting back together.

M’gann ultimately realized Conner was right after she massacred Aqualad’s mind. In that moment, she saw exactly why. She got aggressive enough to mentally murder someone because he was “bad” and cuz she thought he killed Artemis. Even if her anger was justified, what she did was absolutely wrong and she learned it the hard way by nearly killing one of her friends. She was out of control and she needed to understand that.

I agree with her the bad guys deserve the mind attack. Especially since it can be reversed it just takes time, if she was using it for selfish reasons I might think she needs to stop. As for as Aqualad it wasn't exactly hidden well that she started doing this if they told her he was undercover they could have avoided that easily

Actually you can't forget she is a white martian, different from the green martian, white are more aggressive and maybe since she didn't notice the why Conner was so angry at her, that maybe a very normal thing to do in the white martian tradition. Since he said he accepted her as a white martian, she could be more 'wild', is like a wolf/dog mix. Some costumes aren't forgotten even if the animal is more peaceful. And lets admit she got more aggressive in season 2, I think they wanted everyone to hate the new season to close it without trouble.

AND I read your first comment THOROUGHLY this time and there are some things I don't fully agree with. The point that you bring up about M'gann abusing her powers being justified when she uses it on someone such as Lex Luthor is moot. Humans need to learn how to supervise themselves. Being dependent on an alien police force will hinder their advancement. Plus you not are entertaining the possibility that some point in history their may have been a Kryptonian who was the equivalent of Luthor.

Also lets not forget every time someone in the good side get killed, Garfield's mother, Tula got killed too. Also no one know everything that happened in the 5 years that passed by in the Cartoon, Megan could try to help Garfield every time he remember his mother's dead, maybe Megan got overprotective of her's friends? I have no idea, I also have no Idea if she is 'good in her head', but she fell guilty after almost totally destroying Kaldur's mind, I double a Lord could fell sadness or guilty even after noticing or discovering he wasn't a traitor, but a true spy. She got enough guilt to stop using her's powers for some time.
If I had some innocent friend that got killed because I didn't kill or even used my powers on them, I could make sure to destroy my enemies without any pity. Queen Bee killed Garfield's mother and he had seen it or even was in the car when that happened.

I'm completely on Connor's side. I find it ironic that the guy who has anger problems and acts out on anger without thinking, is actually the one who makes the most sense in this relationship between the two of them. Miss Martain is abusing her power, no matter how justified. And worst of all, she tried to wipe the mind of the man she is suppose to love.

I agree Megan abused of Connor she used his mind as she wanted it . Her actions were very serious and had lasting effects in Connor . She did something very close to rape , only she used his mind instead of his body . Yet she was not held accountable by that.

The factor of manipulation could suggest such however, but what basically identifies domestic abuse (domestic violence) is an underlying aspect of fear which doesn't occur in their situation. Conner is more disappointed/sad/unimpressed by M'gann's actions/ideals. And despite M'gann's attempted manipulation her intention was not to conquer over her partner. She wanted him to forget his sadness which was truly to sad part in the dispute because he knew what she felt like.

ReviewForReel I agree, it seems to me from season 1 she took advantage of his emotions and situation in general. Frankly, some one with all of his problems shouldce had dating as last on his list- but I digress.
Season 2 we really see how she affected him, the dialogue is simlair to a real life rape and she was largely his support through a hard time (the birth day bit for example), and she doesn't think of it in that light at all.
Personally, I feel like instead of getting back with her, he shouldve started dating Wendy, as it might give him a reason to want to have a civilian identity, something beyond being a super, and might show him was a romantic relationship not entangled with confusing familial relationships is supposed to be.

@@rashidbinzamanshaan5841 , I would have been more fine with Connor ending up with Miss Martian in Season 4 if she got her shit together with her family; her family being totally welcoming of human cultures, and Beast Boy making a full recovery from Brion leaving the Outsiders for good, but instead he went back to Miss Martian instantly in Season 4 which is just terrible writing 101, and it’s one of the many many reasons on why anime and manga are outselling media in the West and comic books nowadays.

I just rewatched the show on Netflix and I still cant fathom how people can defend Megaan or how they want Superboy to get back with her. Like her doing that to "the bad guys" thats a very controversial issue regarding torturer we still debate today in wars and it really makes you think. But what she did to Connor, thats completely inexcusable she was trying to manipulate him into being with her and thats just disgusting and selfish. I wouldn't be surprised if they finally make a session 3 and its revealed that she played with Lagaan's mind so that he would like her.

She just used him as something to rub in Superboy's face and even when she finally did break up with him she lied about it being about Superboy. "Its about me." She said yet at the end of session 2 she couldn't wait to be with Superboy again. Lagaan truly thought that she liked him but she played with his feelings, ignored him and used him with no regard to his feelings for her. That's playing with someone's mind if I've ever seen it.

Man. Okay,about to go on a full on rant here. I am completely with Connor here. M'gann behaved no better then a villain in thus circumstance. But,I can't believe she would tamper with Connors mind,trying to make him forget. In this part,she was just feeling sorry for herself,and guilty now that she sees it from Connors POV. But what really gets me is how after she and Connor break up,she's with Lagoon Boy. It seems she liked him for a while,and now that she and Connor broke up,she gets with Lagoon right after,and then when she and Lagoon break up,she asks from Connor. Flipping unbelievable. I'm really chalant right now.

@lforc , Lex Luthor sees his actions as the best for humanity, and he sees himself as the perfect guardian Angel for Earth, and if he did those same actions that Miss Martian did he’d still be labeled as a villain, and if you made Lex Luthor drawn as a female instead of a male his/her actions still wouldn’t be justified, so Connor is 100% 💯 in the right in this video clip.
God this was such a powerful scene. To think the clone with anger management issues and the dorky alien in season 1 could make a scene like this. Bravo, awesome writing.
As for the topic itself, while I find Megan’s psychic methods on villains debatable (people can make endless arguments either for or against so I won’t even try), what she did to Connor is most defiantly wrong. You cannot under any circumstances manipulate someone you love in that way. While I trust Megan would never intentionally hurt Connor doing it, in the end you’re tampering with their mind in a completely violating way.
I’m just glad that Megan learned that what she was doing was wrong and didn’t have to loose Kaldur to do it, and that Connor saw her change and found it in himself to forgive her and love her again, they were such a good couple for each other and push each other to be better people.

I know im late by like 3yrs. But the Bio ship is like her comfort zone, her safe zone. Its easy for her to speak about personal things there. But thats like a normal thing since most people have something that makes them feel safe to be open... Its a fascinating thing really that they brought in some psychological things like that in the show.
For me I had lots of personal talks with various Ex's in my car. like it was easy for us to just pull over somewhere and talk about personal stuff in our lives. This is just a representation of that.

What the most heartbreaking this for me is that Superboy loved her no matter what her true form was. I can't say if it was okay or not to do what she did to the enemies but the fact that she did it to him, just makes things sad. Her anger was somewhat justified on what she did to aqualad (since she didn't knew that he and nightwing worked together so you could understand her anger). Seeing Superboy being so vulnerable and saying how he recnogized her touch and how pervereted it was broked me

This is truly emotional. The best part is when Connor tried to reason with M'Gann why he chose to break up with her: it's because she started to lose control by hurting everyone else, as well as the "bad guys", including someone who is trying to convince her what she did was too much. If she behave that way, she will be no better than the members of the Regime, capable of committing strong and nefarious violence, vengeance, hate and lustful power.
I’ve been connecting the dots here: the guy called “PsyMan” provoked Miss M over what was then her greatest fear, Rejection for a monstrous looking body, which she dealt with growing up; it all convinced her that those who aren’t innocent bystanders, let alone friends/teammates of hers, members of the official Justice League or Green Lantern Corps deserve NO MERCY! Hence, her unremorseful Psychic attacks on those outside aforementioned categories and getting memories/knowledge in the process, something Super boy disapproves of (me, too, frankly).
Then there’s the selfish tampering with is head, resulting a sad breakup, regret for trying to make Super boy forget his anger, her rebound guy, and later, a presumed traitor/murderer crosses paths, and she does that psychic attack on HIM, leading her to realize that there was no actual betrayal, no actual murder, just a front for an undercover job. After that, shock, regret, low self-esteem and humiliation. Not to mention lack of confidence of analyzing Green Beetle, hence more blunders, and determination not to have Lagoon Boy, just to try to start fresh with Super Boy.
Miss M has been my favorite since that TV spot advertising the show, but I keep getting different reasons for that (shrug)

To me this is the most heartbreaking scene between these characters. If I were to write the break up subplot, I would have it be that M'gann shows remorse for abusing her powers on someone to save Superboy. After witnessing this, Miss Martian starts to cry because she is ashamed of being the most powerful telepath in the history of Martians. When Superboy tries to console her, she admits that she left Psimon in a mental coma, and doesn't know if she'll be able to stop. So, they agree that maybe it's best that they break up until she can learn to use her psychic powers properly. So throughout season 2, Miss Martian would try to read minds, but always ends up abusing her powers. And also she won't replace Superboy with Lagoon Boy. And after damaging Kaldur's mind does she want to stop using altogether. But after repairing Kaldur's mind does she start to not abuse her powers and then she and Superboy get back together.
Megan and Connor had a different world view and ending a relationship over that is perfectly fine. I don't think anyone is wrong if the story ended there. What changed things was when megan crossed the line and tried force connor into getting over something. That's something to cut ties over

@@nloubriel2336 All too often it doesnt go that way though. Abusive relationships spin outta control for a while if you let them and even with the best intentions an abuser can still relapse. I dont remember the full sequence of events that led to them getting back together but in general i believe the abuser needs to get help and time to mend their ways. Its not always enough to just be sorry.

Replying to a 3 yr old comment. Usually I don't use the word fan service, but a lot of fans didn't like the fact that she was with Lagoon Boy & wanted & M'Gann & Connor back together. In YJ I didn't really if they got back together or not & it didn't bother me that she dated Lagoon Boy who I know 95% of fans don't like, but I didn't mind his character, which is another story.

When heard about that term in this show, I assumed that a rebound guy-girl is something who makes you feel good about bad habits.
*0:20* Honestly, this was the only time I somewhat agreed with Ms. Martian. There are some really bad people out there, people that deserve to have their mind broken and dismantled. But that shouldn't mean that she should use her powers to manipulate her loved ones, that's almost a betrayal in a way.
Even if they are some inhuman people, she doesn’t have the right to erase/changes or look into their memories.
No one deserves anything and we’re sure as hell not in any position to be determining what people deserve. Regardless their are less cruel ways to end a criminals reign of terror and get intel than literally breaking their mind (killing isn’t as torturous).

I love how she learned from her mistakes in season four when she was going into her brother’s mind without psychically breaking it after she believed he killed Connor (unlike the time she broke Aqualad’s mind)
Megan is definitely for both the streets and for the Indigo Tribe.
For those who don’t know about the Indigo Tribe, they’re a Lantern corps who’s energy is powered by Compassion and the people apart of that tribe are mostly sadistic serial killers with no empathy or remorse for their actions. The compassion power rings are parasitic similar to the black lantern rings they force compassion into the person and makes them see their actions are wrong. Now those with high amounts of compassion are candidates too (The Atom for example) but the indigo tribe looks for those with no compassion at all, and I think Megan deserves a trip to Nok.

No such luck, remember for his growing up time he was taught by Psychic creatures like every day for the three years before he was found and set free.
I know it has been 5 years, however i should point out that by the time Connor was found by the trio, chronologically he wasn't even six months old (read that in the YJ comic, one of the issues where they speak of their origin stories).

You know at first I didn't understand why Superboy broke up with her in the first place. But after hearing what she did it's kind of messed up. But you know it's probably the lesson that she needs to learn because frying someone's brain is a little too far and I guess he was trying to teach her that not everyone is okay of what she's doing
I know it's obvious why, but I really love how much Connor's morals reflect Superman's and how much he acts like him in that sense.
Out of everybody I thought Miss Martian knew exactly what her powers can actually do to the mind I never thought that she would go that far to get information from somebody and the fact that you tried to wipe your boyfriend's mind from being mad at you you knew the risk but yet you still did it anyway smh

I like how Superboy acts more mature when jumping to season 2 from 1. He has learned so much. Never liked Miss M. too much. She was annoying in season one then in season two she is mature and taking charge and I started to like her a bit then the other shoe drops. What she did had no excuse. I kinda wished they never got back together but at the same time I am happy for them. I guess...

Yeah Megan or M'gann here was totally at fault. Doing that to Bad guy totally understand. Even support it. But to Superboy? Oh hell nah girl. Superboy deserved better too. Kinda hoped he & that girl dated. For awhile at least. Lagoon boy? Never liked him.

It’s just the fact that he already had psychics abuse their powers on him, so he was already traumatized and hated that stuff, but M’gann came around and they fell in love and she changed that and turned it into something that he considered beautiful and unique-that he cherished. All for her to ruin that and turn it into something ugly.
She basically mind raped him after knowing he was mind raped before they met. They really shouldn’t have gotten together again.
