Sheffield United have finally been relegated, we're looking at this season, why they're so bad and how they never stood a chance to begin with. Also a look into next season and the future of the club, if they'll bounce straight back up or do a Sunderland and be relegated straight through to League One.

The fact that it took until late April for them to be officially relegated shows how awful the promoted teams have been and the large gap between championship and prem teams (mostly because of money)

@@StrikeBolteafcand that’s on the slow quality build up of squads and the squads that came up had prem quality anyways because of money yet again 100m for being relegated means it’s obvious they would be promoted east when you have the highest value squad 4x over any other team in the league

They will be in for a shock if they think that the championship will be a breeze next season.

Finally! We’re down 🙏🏻, no but fr season were over before it started. Got no money, shit management and sold our 2 star players who were pretty much irreplaceable. What makes it even more painful is that iliman had signed a new contact and then we just sold him for pennies. The only shining light this season is Oli arblaster. My god he is a future star.
As a Rotherham fan it’s crazy to see the exact same issues happen but one league apart and a few miles down the road - big rebuilds needed in certain parts of S.Yorkshire this summer…

Blades Fan. Hahaha I enjoyed that, straight to the point quick and fast no messing about. I didn't hear you mention the transfer embargo imposed on the club and the fact that United will be starting next season with a 2 points deduction with a possible further points deduction. The fitness levels and the training facilities have to be questioned because the amount of injuries over the last Two seasons has been totally ridiculous. The club as always sold it's best players and as a consequence relegations have followed ... In other words No Ambition, things need to change BIG Time at the lane after this very embarrassing very lousy lousy season.

I know someone who is intimately involved with Sheffield United. This individual criticised the owners and their lack of ambition and, even before a ball had been kicked this season, knew what was going to happen. I think 'incompetent' was the word he used the most.
Top assessment, couldn't agree more. It's either we start completely again (management included), or we aim for this 3 year rebuild whereby we improve year on year. The spine of the team is there! Build a team round Robbo, Arblaster & Osula. Go from there! You nailed it about not playing youth earlier. We smash the U21's leagues every year! I'd like to see Peck, Curtis, Brooks, Onè, Marsh (if fit) & Hampson starting/in 18 for Forest. I'm not sold on CW, wasn't when he came back. Left out the back door, put he is here & Steve Bettis has said he is here to stay. Drag Forest down with us Saturday. Been an awful year, glad to be out. 97 conceded will haunt me for years. In 60 yrs even in our worst ( and there have been many ) seasons we never really got hammered like this season, that’s why it’s the worst season EVER , I thought Wilder might have tightened the defence but he a can’t do it with this lot , complete overhaul needed for next season, selling our best players and the lack of good experienced Premier league defenders was our main downfall.
Archer is going back to Villa; there's a clause in the sell contract that if SU go down, Villa buy him back at a reduced fee. Even if Villa sell him straight on again, he wont be at Sheff. So one less player for them to build a squad
Archer is going as there is a clause that it United went down Villa can buy him back. Brooks is a good youngster as well. I don't think there is a chance of us bouncing straight back.

I'm from Barnsley live in Ireland over 20 years good to see a Yorkshire lad so videos. Barnsley have been dog shite last 10 games and we barely scraped through it's a repeat of last year's semis Vs Bolton how do you rate our chances???

Honesty I think we will give it a good go. I could see us in the play-offs. People are forgetting just how big the gap is between the EFL and PL. Our players are not bad players, they just aren't premier league level players. Arblaster is our best player by miles, probably pushing England's squad in a few years and is too good for the championship. Hamer is a proven top championship level player. Trusty was Birmingham's best player last season. Throwing a few quality frees and loans in that is a good enough squad.
None of the teams that come down will spend a lot, Burnley spent heavily this season and will have to sell so many assets to even think of spending. Luton are im the same boat as us with not enough money to have to spend. Forest are a financial mess even with selling their best assets.
Not forgetting we have one of the best acadamies in the country at the moment, a few more talents tipped off to have successful careers who could make the jump now.
I predict 3rd-6th and a play-off finish. Depending on who comes down, I reckon we have a good shout.

The Blades have angled the poorest Dubai Prince on the planet. The budget to sign up new players was a joke ! We all new at the end of last season that we were doomed.. I still don't know how they manged to win three matches and draw against the likes of BHA, Bournemouth and AV away and Chelsea, Fulham and West Ham at home. They "only" conceded 2 goals against Man City away and Liverpool at home. Other teams did a lot worse. So in fact, there were some decent results, but overall they were not good enough.
I always felt when you were on the way up you would need serious investment then the summer come and you sell your two better player and sign nobody of any real quality (premier league standard) Austin trust is not the guy ..
But anyway I feel you’ll come back but you’ll have to do it a bit differently as when you come back up you want to give yourself a chance ..good video ..sidenote I think Jaden Bogle can hold his head high he’s been good for you guys and Jack Robinson at times ..

It doesn't take much to point the finger at the Blades this season as possibly the worst ever Prem' team. But it takes a bit more to examine what actually happened. Best players sold late in the window, new signings unfit, loans ill thought out, all compounded by season long injuries to key defensive players including Baldock, Eagan and Basham. No squad depth hit hard late in games and particularly the huge added time like at Spurs when winning 1-0 then 14 minutes added time and Spurs brought on 3 internationals to score 90+8 and 90+10 when Blades legs had gone. Next game and no strikers, no defence, no confidence and no hope against Newcastle. The season continued ...............

TBF and I'm gonna be brutally honest with you all only 3 of the south Yorkshire clubs have had good seasons Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday in terms of not getting relegated Sheffield wednesday got very lucky to stay up under Danny rohl using the squad which was old to it's full strength. Doncaster had a good fight this season but sadly didn't get to the league 2 playoff final. Barnsley put up a fight but couldn't get back to the championship. Sheffield united and Rotherham have been poor. I'm from Sheffield myself but I don't really support them.
Blades have been shit this season but osula has had games and could be ok in champ. Brooks forced his way in team arblaster maybe jebbinson that’s 4 youth players .

As a Cov fan, I was gutted and annoyed they pinched Hamer (especially as the season had already started). Feel bad for him because from what I've heard the sheff united fans don't rate him at all. Just shows the gulf from yoyoing up to the prem compared to the top half of the championship.
While I'd like COH to stay at Cov, he's pretty much made up his mind that he's off (rumour is Spain), but the fact that they probably wouldn't even enter the picture really says something.
He's the only signing we actually rate actually. He's the only one we want to keep as him and Arblaster are a premier league level duo in midfield. The other signings are all woeful though, bar Archer but he's going back to Villa

That's good to know, I only really know one blades fan and he's constantly having a go at him, but whenever I've looked at the player stats he seems to be the only one with decent ratings.
