Great take on the JamHub concept. Nice price too. The XLRs missing is going to be a drag to deal with, those adapters are a PITA. Great to see people are still pursuing this concept. We love our JamHubs. :o)
I love that this company is always being creative and making something like no other product on the market. Thanks for always being innovative. Cheers guys!
Over the last couple of months i have been trying to track down a second hand Jamhub so im so happy to come across the Blender as it's exactly what i need and at a very affordable price.
This demonstration leaves out a crucial detail that guitar/bass players need to address. The inputs are stereo. That means if you use a mono 1/8” plug to connect to the blender, you only get sound in one headphone channel. In the demo the guitar & bass are going through something that provides a stereo signal, but the demo clearly omitted this crucial step in order to brush over the simple fact that you need other things for this to work properly. I now have to build some special cables with the tip and ring of an 1/8” plug connected to get the instrument signal to both the L and R stereo input. Leaving this detail out is a massive failure.
What is the actual setup that we can see here in this video? Seems like they use iPhones without the headphonejack. Could you just name all the tools and apps that are used for this scenareo?
It looks cool. I really wanted a multi-channel mixer for stereo devices like little synths. I could imagine an upgraded version with USB-C, and I don't know if I would need so many headphone outputs. If I could just disable output so the ipad doesn't see it that might help as well because it only allows one at a time.
Just what I'm looking for for teaching & demo'ing - why was it so hard to find?! Sensational price, just ordered from amazon
Yay! Glad you found one!
Bought it today, it really is a great little portable device. It would be nice if the lights could be dimmed and that the IOS app could be rotated to landscape. But, how did you connect your Fender to the Blender? Did you use a DI box?
Can the TCH Blender be interfaced with a Mac to use with DAW? Which versions of the Mac OS does it support? Thank you?
Would this work for monitoring in a rehearsal room? (drums, guitar, bass) ?
Can we connect straight to a phone for a Facebook, UA-cam or any other social media live?
Can I plug vox, keys and bass in directly or will I need a DI?
hello i am curious to know if there is a way to use the blender with my students ipad band and connect it to a pa system for live performances
Hey! Yes there is! You just have to use the USB output to connect to a PA. Anything in the 6 inputs will output through that no problem.
listen i am thinking of using this with my ipad band. can i use it for a live performance too? i see you have a usb output to daw but how best could i get output to a PA system
Dalton, I'm so happy you asked this. We've got a performance video coming out later in the week that has a Synth artist patching a couple stereo signals into the inputs then outputting a single mixed channel to the PA. It's a 3.5mm jack, so you may need some adaptors.
How about microphone input for singers?
Hey Kenny, great idea! The way we set up Blender is to make it as versatile as possible. Most standard mixing boards, even portable ones, come with only XLR and 1/4" inputs, which is great for professional musicians, but not for all of the features Blender can be used for. Simple converters will allow for any of your instruments or microphones to be connected! We will absolutely be taking customer feedback into account, but for now, we simply wanted to make the six stereo outputs as multi-functional as possible! Thanks for singing with us 😃
tc i love u
Please, make the Blender IOS app landscape on an iPad. Is that possible?
No problem connecting to my electronics drums but guitars are a challenge and do not sound correct , what's the answer to that ?
You have to get Line voltage from your guitars. Easiest solution is to use any pedal or stompbox. You can also use a headphone out from an amp, or a mixer with instrument in/line out
Hi Tom, its to bad for a 4 man band with 4 singers. Other wise it would Be the greatest thing after the jamhub. We would purchase if we had 8 in 4 out. In the specs i’ve read that it was 12 in 8 out. What’s ts that all About. Can I run my voicelive extreme into it and record right and left channel separate? Otherwise, the 12/8 makes no sense. Can you fill me in on that?
Hey Vincent, 12 in 8 out can be more easily interpreted as 6 stereo ins and 4 stereo outs. Yes your VL3 will be recorded in stereo in your DAW.
@@tchelicon vl3 headphone stereo out to blender in or something else is your recomendation?
@@milosgrujic7228 All input and outputs on Blender are stereo, so you could plug a stereo input into the device or double the inputs and outputs using a splitters and mono i/o. It's your call, but either options should work fine. Another trick you can do is to send an out back into an input. So, if you wanted to mix 4 voices via two inputs, and send that out and back in, you could create one adjustable mix for all 4 voices. But that would take 3 inputs and 2 outputs.
Wow....
Shortly: no XLR , no TRS. You can’t really use it as a professional piece of gear , sorry guys 🤷🏻♂️ still looking for a product for my live stream and drum videos!
How do you plug in bass, do I need amp?
if your bass has passive pickups I suggest a pedal. iRig or similar devices work too, or an Amp with phones or direct input out. Basically anything with a line or headphone out will do.
But how do you give the mic the 48v it needs?
You have to connect a separate active DI, mic preamp, mixer, or vocal effects module with line out. You can also use a headphone out from an amp.
So, how is everything hooked together? How does this device make my musical life easier?
Hey Valdis, it connects with 3.5mm TRS cables. Each of the 6 inputs are stereo and the device allows you to create a multi-instrument monitor channel through rerouting the signal back through the device from one of the four output channels.
In addition to private jams for bands the device works great with Synths. Really, it depends how you want to use it!
Stay tuned, we will be releasing a performance video with the blender and a set of synths later this week!
How stupid is that mini jacks ?? What a pity this is a great piece of equipment 🙄
