Armands one gaslighting MF!
I'm telling you, when I start film school I'm going to talk about this series in any job or whatever, whenever I have the opportunity! It's so unfair that series with bad writing, script and acting are at the top, but this masterpiece is barely talked about
TRUTH!!!
Honestly… I’m thinking about going to film school because of this show… I mean I wanted to get into film before… but after watching the first season it transitioned from a simple wanting to a need to make this my career. I’ve always had a love for good stories. This is some of the best.
for real!!! and it so diverse that it could arguably appeal to many different audiences, but amc isn’t promoting it enough. it deserves so much more love and attention!! 😭
the big argument between louis and armand was assad’s first scene playing armand which makes his performance even more impressive!
I feel like Assad's theater background showed in the best way - like the volleying of energy, the layers and nuances he could maintain. Friggin awesome.
Wow, that's amazing! He's so damn talented. Lol, I must admit that I sometimes find his looks distracting. When they do the head-on shots w/the vampire contacts in, i feel like I've gotta rewind to catch the dialogue 😂

The moment at the end when he repeats the same thing Louis said….and realize he planted it, and then that final scene with Armand and Daniel…aaaaaah so good. This show is absolutely amazing.
You're soo frustrated about the show not being as popular and I agree!!! What more do we need to do seriously !! Just being acknowledged as it should during award season would really help!
And I agree with you, Lestat sounds different in Armand's mind, he sounds so sad and desperate
This is real television, and deserves more recognition! I’m sure if this show had the HBO logo in the intro, it would have at least been nominated for the Emmy at this point

when Louis walked out on that roof ,I flashed for a moment on his brother Paul walking off the roof ..............................this episode didn't bring me any closer to Armand
For me this season has already surpassed season one. What an incredible episode. For me this is the Vampire Armand from the books. I was blown away by the actor’s performance (I’ve forgotten his name in this moment). Each performance was just superb. Seeing the young Daniel and then listening to Daniel in real time with Louie was just excellent. I’m just blown away and completely sold on the characters. I can’t wait until next week!
Assad Zaman, let's support and praise him on SM bc unfortunately we can't count on those rigged awards 😢
ive rewatched the episode like 5 times since i saw it because of how incredible it is. my favourite episode of the whole show and people say its going to get even better. i cant believe this show isnt more popular.

I have said this a million times, and I will continue to say it a million times more: Interview with the Vampire is the best TV show right now, and it deserves much more recognition! Episode 5 is a masterpiece
The piano made me so nervous this episode
The single note playing over and over mixed with the tension they were already creating made me panic
I SOOOO share the frustration, AMC has had some of the best shows ever and they only peaked long after... The marketing is better for S2 but another huge problem is that they only make it available in few countries, it's appaling!!! We only got S1 officially this month here in Brazil through Prime Video, who knows when we'll have S2... The people who are dying to watch will 🏴☠️ and many won't feel the need to pay and rewatch when there are official sources... Most fans always encourage to support the official sources, when there is one... Meanwhile...
this episode is so good 100% my favourite from s2 and one of the best episodes overall
This show is incredible! It’s funny you said lestat sounds so different when we hear his voice in this episode I agree, it was like this tiny window into maybe the more authentic version of him that’s been hidden under these re-tellings by the other characters, will we get to see him as he really is by the finale?

Absolutely flawless episode. Stellar performances and an extremely well thought out storyline. I believe they have captured each character as they should be. The defining moments in the last scene of Louie and Daniel coming to the same realizations about their story, their memories and what Armand has done was acted brilliantly. I've not always been team Louie but he won me over in this episode. Jacob is outstanding as Louie.
This show is the best thing on TV by a mile, and this episode is incredible. Sick, twisted, and utterly enthralling. I cried.
I understand! It's an amazing episode that makes you speechless! My jaw was on the floor the entire episode. It's messed up and terrifying and Assad Zaman did a wonderful job as Armand. Oh God was he terrifying.
And just like you noted, this is the only time we actually hear the real Lestat voice. And he doesn't sound like the way Louis talks of him or Armand talks about him. This is someone completely different. He's soft and full of worry and love for Louis. Just like in his letter in episode 2. On both occasions he needed Louis to know that he loves him.
Also it took me out when Armand walked in with the glasses like hello bitches what did i miss? And Louis and Daniel just stare at him like 😒

Seriously. How amazing was this episode?! I was with some of my X oomfs in London for a meet up and watched it in a group. We were all completely floored! Absolutely outstanding TV.

I get so angry at the lack of marketing for this show. Also, Armand stole the show this season to me. He's shot up to being one of my top 5 favourite characters of all time ❤️

Lestat's words broke my heart... he really sounded so concerned
I thought it was extraordinary, compelling and surprising. If I've ever been this impressed by TV episodes before they would probably be contained in a Mike Flannagan series, but this really takes some beating. I was a huge fan of the novel by Anne Rice, but this is so much more.
There are so many little touches that come from the book that appear in both the show and the movie. I hope you have fun spotting all the similarities/differences.
The fact that this was the first episode that they shot has me 🤯 wow, just wow

This episode nearly had me jumping out of my chair during Armand & Louis' argument. Such a great example of what happens when 2 people who've been together for a long time start "drawing blood" lol.
The truth comes out. Nothing more needed to be said from Louis' look on his face at the end..
The look on Louis' face when Armand returned reminded me of when he was human in season 1.

yeah. i totally agree - it is one of the best tv shows and it is not getting marketed right. AMC does not have HBOs money, but i mean c'mon. i think fans should take matters in their own hands and start our own campaign on social media.
Fun fact: they shot the fight and the “rest” scene at the end without any rehearsals!
I soooo wish Anne Rice could have seen this series. I think watching her characters come to life as they have would make her so proud 😢
Sadly, I wouldn't be so sure as she was very protective of her work and the characters
@@CaseyL1760 Yeah, but if she came around to end up liking Tom Cruise's performance as much as she did - I'd think she'd appreciate this adaptation just as much. Even with the changes, the core of the characters' comes through as more loyal to the novel than both previous vampire adaptations.
Don't you just hate it when the show cuts like that? I can see Louise, saying to Armand. “ We need to talk. ” This show proves when you have people who care about telling a story, it becomes a masterpiece.

@@cullenarthur8879 From the way louis was saying what armand was saying before he said it. And armands stare of confusion. Just my opinion.
@@jayaguilar2031 I think that was to show how it was a rehearsed statement that Armand had put into Louis head. Louis finally realized that this is a script that he has been forced to accept for years by Armand. Armand looks like that because he is realizing Louis has caught on to what he's done.
