Hey guys, In this video tutorial, I will show you how to create Simple & Smooth transition between Bold text to Thin text, Basically to create seamless morph transition Tutorial in After Effects. First we will create a Text layer and then convert that into Shape Text layer, where we would be able to play around with text path. Using shape layers, You will also learn some tips and tricks from this tutorial. I will be using Path and Offset to make this animation happen. This isn't too complicated at all yet, it looks great once you put in the easy ease. Love it!
It comes out distorted, why?
This was excellent! Very clear and I appreciate you showing us the wrong way to paste the keyframes, and then the correct way.
However, I have a question. I am animating the words "tell me" and the all animate beautifully, except for the left side of the M. That looks more twisted between the morph for some reason.
Does anyone have a workaround or way to fix that?
I would be eternally grateful for any help 👼
The animation makes the text like distort to become the bold instead of just going from the sides.
I had the same issue. The first vertex of the new mask (rounded pin) has to be the same as it was on the mask you copied from. How to do - right click on the vertex > mask and shape path > set first vertex.

I've tried but doesn't work with "Avenir Next" font. So disappointed bc it's a great tutorial. Thanks bro!!!
when i want to transfrom from O "thin" cahracter to bold. it wasnt transform in a smooth way instead it flipped around to bold character animation. somebody please help
It happens for specific Type face or Letter. I would do manual point adjustment for this scenario.
Add or remove points until there is an equal number of points on both sets of keyframes and roughly in the same relative position, then make sure to set first vertex to similar positions on both sets of keyframes too. Do this and any font will work.
@@HavilahAgada please make a vieo teaching this. im not sure what you mean.
@@HavilahAgada please man
You're the man@@HavilahAgada thanks!!
He meant : right click on any single point > set first vertex > repeat to other keyframe > done
