OI have spent more money on BlueBrixx, Cobi and Mould King in the last year than I have on Lego. It has pained me to admit, but Lego has been disapointing me more and more each year. I love Lego, but I also want to build...which BB, Cobi and MK are providing! 😉

You really can’t comprehend the sheer size of this thing until you see it in person. I can guarantee that if you aren’t prepared to display this thing you won’t find anywhere to do so.
For the tip of the ship, you may be able to find someone to 3D print a custom double sided 1x4 brick with all 4 corners tapered to hold all 4 panels of the ship together at the nose. If I get this set I may print my own and share the file in the future. Then you don’t need to glue it

@@thatwolfensteinguy8954 I don’t know if you can get it that cheap (~$140USD). My recommendation is to hunt around on AliExpress, I know their 12th anniversary sale starts tomorrow and if you add an item to your cart before the sale starts you can get it for a cheaper price.
I just ordered this set from Gundamit. First Mould King set and first set of this scale (biggest one I've built so far is Lego's Tower of Orthanc which has like 3x as few pieces as this behemoth). Very excited to start building, I just hope it'll fit on my shelf!
I’m sure u could use small hinged pieces on the inside to hold the front together. I use them for structural support on a few mocs and they’d probably work fine for that too
About the Lego plates that opens up in the front. Get some hollow studs from Cobi,they can be inserted onto the small holes in the plate and they will act like a stud connection bonding two plates that won't normaly hold together..Easy fix, amazing Review and model 😀

Hey Bughati, welcome to the channel & to Mould King!! I think the Mould King MK Stars (Star Wars themed sets) instructions are easier to read than Legos! If you check out the first video on the Executor or the Eclipse you can see how the instructions are presented. I can’t speak to other series but the Star Wars ones have been on point. Just glue two grey 1x4 flat pieces belly to belly, make a couple of them and use them to secure the front piece together by attaching top and bottom? Idk if that would work but it might have?
I also have a mould king Executor and it's amazing but the tip of mine also hangs and i had a lot of trouble getting the bottom plates to fit into place.
Great video and appreciated this information. I just got mine delivered. May I ask, do you have any tips for sorting the pieces/bags? Thanks man!!! Definitely sort each bag, it scars you a lot time come building time. Usually you’ll get pieces from one bag that will be used in later bags, very common with Mould King. You’ll get a lot of 8x10 plates in say bag 6 but you’ll use a few for the bag and the rest won’t be used till day bag 10. If you have a missing piece contact the seller, almost all the MK Sellers will ship you missing pieces quickly but if that fails hit me up and lll see if I have the piece to send you! I hope you didn't glue the nose. I struggled and developed a way to slightly modify the build, using some additional parts to secure the bottom plates. It's almost indistinguishable from the original design.

Where are these available to buy? I have several Lepin UCS sets (2007 Falcon, B-Wing, X-Wing, AT-ST, Republic Gunship) but I only buy out-of-production sets, so I'm not taking any money out of Lego's pocket. If UCS sets were cheap and easy to find, I would buy them. The only official UCS I own is the 2.0 Snowspeeder, and that was a pain to get. Local stores didn't have it, so I ended up buying one on Ebay. Anyway, Lepin bricks are about 90% as good as Lego bricks. They fit fine, but when you go back to real Lego they go together buttery smooth. Lepin bricks ocassionally have mold issues, but they give you tons of spare pieces. A slight lack of quality control is worth the huge discount. (The Falcon was $170, while the official was going for $6000 on Ebay)
I buy my Mould King sets from AliExpress using PayPal to entire I get buyers protections. Make sure to click around on a lot of tabs to find the best prices with with the cheapest shipping. You’ll find that Mould King is on par with Lepin and Lego, in fact I believe Mould King is better than Lego in most respects (I’ve done some videos on this, check out my MK vs Lego playlist). I can’t compare to Lepin since I live in the US and it’s damn near impossible to get but everyone has told me that Lepin is the best of the KO builders. You get plenty of spares with MK too. no super glue... contact cement gives it that needed connection but not permanent.. the pieces can be pulled apart with plastic wedge tools, and the contact cemrnt just peels off

Hey, I am thinking about buying this set for years now, awesome to have a close look to it, thanks for that! I was wondering if there is any lighting kit, I could not find anything online. I am very impressed by the photographs of the adverts. Do you think something similar is realizable?
I have seen lighting kits on Amazon and AliExpress but I have not purchased one as of yet, usually run $40-$80. All of the light kits look like they work seamlessly (or need very little trimming/management) so I think it’s very doable…good luck and thanks for watching!!!

Glad you enjoyed it!! I found mine on AliExpress. Make sure you click around to find a good price and there’s several stores that ship free. If it does come out of china then shipping will be pricey. Almost all won’t come with the original box (and from what I’ve been told they’re amazing, better than UCS boxes as far as art is concerned) just a box that’s been heavily taped up but everything inside will be good to go. If you wan the original box it’ll cost a couple hundred more and you have to order from the Mould King official website. I’m starting a new Mould king today…stay tuned for the video!!!

You’ll need to glue the bottom plates to their mounting points on the frame. If you get this and are missing any bricks hit me up and if I have it, I’ll send it to you!!
@@johnsabin3315 it was my first build so I was still refining my technique and talking points. The instructions were solid but bags 5-7 are absolutely brutal, you’ll need pounds of patience to get them done since it’s all the undercarriage so to speak. 100 km/h sublight?.. so like, 60-65 mph?... good to know I can outrun it off the line in my old Geo Metro! XD, lol. Nice job, this is the version of the Executor i'd like to get. Have to admit, getting this Mould King version might be my one exception to everything else I have being authentic Lego... the cost savings are too tempting!

I bought mine off AliExpress (Chinese Amazon) however they can be found on Amazon and Walmart's website. Make sure to shop around to get the best deal! If you use AliExpress only use PayPal or a major credit card to pay, this way you get buyers protection. Granted I've never had any issues buying off Ali however it's a Chinese based website and you must be extra careful.
ok , i have the kit which i picked up here in the uk (from my post office ,as i was not in)....however picking up the box i noticed it was quite lite.....no instruction books!!

Correct but you’ll find that Mould King is Superior to Lego in every way. Lego would charge $1.2K for a ship this size, this ~$280 on Amazon right now. I have some videos that compare Mould King to Lego, check it out to see why I think this way, thanks for watching!

Congrats Man!!! It’s a sizable piece, a long dresser is ideal if your displaying in a finished room. Mines downstairs on a wooden plank that’s laid over a card table. If you decide to use a card table, Don’t use a soft top, the weight will sink into the fabric.
Having seen your build of the executor and i kind of see it at least in my eyes more impressive than the ISD as a fan but not as much as the ISD, do you think that betting a coupld of hinge and connector pieces like those used in the eclipse and UCS ISD would fix the dropping prow of this dreadnought??? Because i am still undecideed if to go with the executor and rename it the Lusankya or go with the KO ISD
If Lego would ever ship the connectors to me, I would try and fox the front end, but until then, rubber bands for the win! Of the builds I’ve done so far, I would recommend starting with this build and the working out to the others. Just beside to watch my videos on bags 5-7…they’re tough as hell and it will help you tremendously

If you use AliExpress or MK’s site make sure you use a credit card that way you get buyers protections on the order. They’re Chinese run websites and in case something happens, you’re covered. I will say I’ve bough 4 things from MK’s site and never had an issue

There’s some Chinese and English but the words don’t matter (99.9% is pictured and English numbers), 2 books (glued bindings, very durable) and if you ask me…better than Lego instructions. I did a comparison video, check out my Mould king vs Lego playlist
Eclipse is the best ship by far and wide, only drawback is the cost. If you’re new to Mould king I’d start with the executor and go from there. Provides a good learning experience and prepares you to work on other sets
I know this video is over a year old but between the mould king executor and the mould king venator which would you recommend getting. They’re roughly the same price on Amazon with the Executor at 258$ and the Venator at 265$
@@sithbricks_66 so I’ve watched your reviews on the venator and executor. You mentioned that the venator had problems with the wings,thrusters and magnets. Does the executor have any of those magnet things or similar problems? Also I’m wondering about the height of both. I know the executor is longer but the venator appears to have more height and width.
@@capitalism7189 the Executor does not have magnets but you’ll need to Kragle the bottom plates on (which is waaaaay easier than dealing with the magnets. The Venator is about 6” taller but the weight is about the same but it’s distributed on the Venator differently which makes it harder to move than the Executor

Been saving up for a while and decided to treat myself for my birthday, was either gonna get one of the mould king sets or if my roommate is willing to pitch in a ps5 so we can both play the new mortal Kombat game. After reading this I’ll probably go with the executor, if my roommate doesn’t pitch in. I was more interested in the venator due to the cool command bridge and turrets but then I release I could probably make some additions to the executor and add some small turrets and maybe a more visible command bridge. Also they sell light up kits for the executor but they don’t sell light up kits for the venator which also influenced my decision.

Yeah it’s a problem with all their star destroyer designs. I’ve tried a ton of things to get it to close and it just won’t. The one thing that works the best is a clear rubber band. I went to a dental office and bought a pack of clear braces bands and it seems to work the best without standing out
This set is far superior to the Lego set, the only drawback is there is no mini-figs with mould king sets and there is no interior play with this set so mini-figs aren't that big of a need per say. I buy my MK sets of AliExpress, just be sure to use PayPal for buyer protection, granted I’ve never had an issue but better to be safe. Buying direct from MK gets you the box and from what I’ve seen it’s an amazing box however it costs a couple hundred bucks more. There is!! Just search Mould King on any search engine to bring up the site. Make sure you search using the term “Star Plan,” that will take you to the biggest Star Wars sets. However you can often find better deals on Amazon, Walmart, eBay & AliExpress. Make sure to shop around and this set should cost around $250-$280 USD.

MBS or UCS Venator, Captain Rex’s Y-Wing, 21st Nova Corps, Dookus Solar Sailor, LiMerge Building, Clone Army Barracks, AT-OT to name a few
Facts. This set has great price per brick value and it’s still the set that I’ve gotten the most extra pieces out of (granted I haven’t finished Monarch yet).

He built it in 2018. Also, the Eclipse model you have on your channel. Stolen! The original designer is jorstad. Again, from 2018. If you're going to buy stolen MOCs from China. Please support the original designers of the models.
Yay another crappy ripoff that probably copied some fan’s design and the guy reviewing didn’t even pronounce Executor correct. How do you do a review of a Star Wars ship with out even knowing how to pronounce its name.
I’ve already addressed my stance using Mould King products in several of other my videos, as far as my pronunciation is concerned so people say it different…tomato/tomato. We can go rounds on is it Executor or Executor. It’s Executor

Definitely! My son has the Star Destroyer, and I had to put the TV on the wall and leave the TV stand for that ship. But it looks amazing!!

I think the Mould King MK Stars (Star Wars themed sets) instructions are easier to read than Legos! If you check out the first video on the Executor or the Eclipse you can see how the instructions are presented. I can’t speak to other series but the Star Wars ones have been on point.

Just glue two grey 1x4 flat pieces belly to belly, make a couple of them and use them to secure the front piece together by attaching top and bottom? Idk if that would work but it might have?

I also have a mould king Executor and it's amazing but the tip of mine also hangs and i had a lot of trouble getting the bottom plates to fit into place.
Mines been rubber banded for years and when I take the band off, it still has that open maw 😑

Definitely sort each bag, it scars you a lot time come building time.
Usually you’ll get pieces from one bag that will be used in later bags, very common with Mould King. You’ll get a lot of 8x10 plates in say bag 6 but you’ll use a few for the bag and the rest won’t be used till day bag 10.
If you have a missing piece contact the seller, almost all the MK Sellers will ship you missing pieces quickly but if that fails hit me up and lll see if I have the piece to send you!

I hope you didn't glue the nose. I struggled and developed a way to slightly modify the build, using some additional parts to secure the bottom plates. It's almost indistinguishable from the original design.

Where are these available to buy?
I have several Lepin UCS sets (2007 Falcon, B-Wing, X-Wing, AT-ST, Republic Gunship) but I only buy out-of-production sets, so I'm not taking any money out of Lego's pocket. If UCS sets were cheap and easy to find, I would buy them. The only official UCS I own is the 2.0 Snowspeeder, and that was a pain to get. Local stores didn't have it, so I ended up buying one on Ebay.
Anyway, Lepin bricks are about 90% as good as Lego bricks. They fit fine, but when you go back to real Lego they go together buttery smooth. Lepin bricks ocassionally have mold issues, but they give you tons of spare pieces. A slight lack of quality control is worth the huge discount. (The Falcon was $170, while the official was going for $6000 on Ebay)
I buy my Mould King sets from AliExpress using PayPal to entire I get buyers protections. Make sure to click around on a lot of tabs to find the best prices with with the cheapest shipping.
You’ll find that Mould King is on par with Lepin and Lego, in fact I believe Mould King is better than Lego in most respects (I’ve done some videos on this, check out my MK vs Lego playlist). I can’t compare to Lepin since I live in the US and it’s damn near impossible to get but everyone has told me that Lepin is the best of the KO builders. You get plenty of spares with MK too.

no super glue... contact cement gives it that needed connection but not permanent.. the pieces can be pulled apart with plastic wedge tools, and the contact cemrnt just peels off

Hey, I am thinking about buying this set for years now, awesome to have a close look to it, thanks for that! I was wondering if there is any lighting kit, I could not find anything online. I am very impressed by the photographs of the adverts. Do you think something similar is realizable?
I have seen lighting kits on Amazon and AliExpress but I have not purchased one as of yet, usually run $40-$80.
All of the light kits look like they work seamlessly (or need very little trimming/management) so I think it’s very doable…good luck and thanks for watching!!!

I found mine on AliExpress. Make sure you click around to find a good price and there’s several stores that ship free. If it does come out of china then shipping will be pricey.
Almost all won’t come with the original box (and from what I’ve been told they’re amazing, better than UCS boxes as far as art is concerned) just a box that’s been heavily taped up but everything inside will be good to go. If you wan the original box it’ll cost a couple hundred more and you have to order from the Mould King official website.

You’ll need to glue the bottom plates to their mounting points on the frame.

The instructions were solid but bags 5-7 are absolutely brutal, you’ll need pounds of patience to get them done since it’s all the undercarriage so to speak. As always hit me up and I’d be glad to assist where needed!!

Nice job, this is the version of the Executor i'd like to get. Have to admit, getting this Mould King version might be my one exception to everything else I have being authentic Lego... the cost savings are too tempting!
Yeah that is slow however when you consider the size, probably a lot faster than most expected.

I bought mine off AliExpress (Chinese Amazon) however they can be found on Amazon and Walmart's website. Make sure to shop around to get the best deal!
If you use AliExpress only use PayPal or a major credit card to pay, this way you get buyers protection. Granted I've never had any issues buying off Ali however it's a Chinese based website and you must be extra careful.

Correct but you’ll find that Mould King is Superior to Lego in every way.
Lego would charge $1.2K for a ship this size, this ~$280 on Amazon right now.

Congrats Man!!! It’s a sizable piece, a long dresser is ideal if your displaying in a finished room.
Mines downstairs on a wooden plank that’s laid over a card table. If you decide to use a card table, Don’t use a soft top, the weight will sink into the fabric.
Having seen your build of the executor and i kind of see it at least in my eyes more impressive than the ISD as a fan but not as much as the ISD, do you think that betting a coupld of hinge and connector pieces like those used in the eclipse and UCS ISD would fix the dropping prow of this dreadnought??? Because i am still undecideed if to go with the executor and rename it the Lusankya or go with the KO ISD
If Lego would ever ship the connectors to me, I would try and fox the front end, but until then, rubber bands for the win!
Of the builds I’ve done so far, I would recommend starting with this build and the working out to the others.
Just beside to watch my videos on bags 5-7…they’re tough as hell and it will help you tremendously

When you got the set, how where the instructions. Where they online, or in a book, and was the book in English?
There’s some Chinese and English but the words don’t matter (99.9% is pictured and English numbers), 2 books (glued bindings, very durable) and if you ask me…better than Lego instructions.

How would you rate this one when compared to the Eclipse in terms of build fun, and overal looks?
I am currently considering one or the other.
Eclipse is the best ship by far and wide, only drawback is the cost. If you’re new to Mould king I’d start with the executor and go from there.
Provides a good learning experience and prepares you to work on other sets

I know this video is over a year old but between the mould king executor and the mould king venator which would you recommend getting. They’re roughly the same price on Amazon with the Executor at 258$ and the Venator at 265$

@@sithbricks_66 so I’ve watched your reviews on the venator and executor. You mentioned that the venator had problems with the wings,thrusters and magnets. Does the executor have any of those magnet things or similar problems? Also I’m wondering about the height of both. I know the executor is longer but the venator appears to have more height and width.
@@capitalism7189 the Executor does not have magnets but you’ll need to Kragle the bottom plates on (which is waaaaay easier than dealing with the magnets.
The Venator is about 6” taller but the weight is about the same but it’s distributed on the Venator differently which makes it harder to move than the Executor

Been saving up for a while and decided to treat myself for my birthday, was either gonna get one of the mould king sets or if my roommate is willing to pitch in a ps5 so we can both play the new mortal Kombat game. After reading this I’ll probably go with the executor, if my roommate doesn’t pitch in. I was more interested in the venator due to the cool command bridge and turrets but then I release I could probably make some additions to the executor and add some small turrets and maybe a more visible command bridge. Also they sell light up kits for the executor but they don’t sell light up kits for the venator which also influenced my decision.

It’s a medium degree of difficulty, especially if this is your first Mould King set. There’s a few bags that are tricky to put together but if you watch my videos you should be able to complete it (my pain is your game!!)

Yeah it’s a problem with all their star destroyer designs. I’ve tried a ton of things to get it to close and it just won’t.
The one thing that works the best is a clear rubber band. I went to a dental office and bought a pack of clear braces bands and it seems to work the best without standing out
might just get this ,as i had the original lego one ,but in dimesions this one is far better.
This set is far superior to the Lego set, the only drawback is there is no mini-figs with mould king sets and there is no interior play with this set so mini-figs aren't that big of a need per say.

How is the instruction books?
They’re super easy to read, I’ve done a video to show you the differences (Look in my musing/rambling playlist) and I find that Mould King instructions are better than legos

There is!! Just search Mould King on any search engine to bring up the site. Make sure you search using the term “Star Plan,” that will take you to the biggest Star Wars sets.
However you can often find better deals on Amazon, Walmart, eBay & AliExpress. Make sure to shop around and this set should cost around $250-$280 USD.

Facts. This set has great price per brick value and it’s still the set that I’ve gotten the most extra pieces out of (granted I haven’t finished Monarch yet).

He built it in 2018. Also, the Eclipse model you have on your channel. Stolen! The original designer is jorstad. Again, from 2018. If you're going to buy stolen MOCs from China. Please support the original designers of the models.

Yay another crappy ripoff that probably copied some fan’s design and the guy reviewing didn’t even pronounce Executor correct. How do you do a review of a Star Wars ship with out even knowing how to pronounce its name.
I’ve already addressed my stance using Mould King products in several of other my videos, as far as my pronunciation is concerned so people say it different…tomato/tomato.
We can go rounds on is it Executor or Executor.

This was my first video series ever and I had a lot to learn from it. I do plan on redoing the executor soon in hopes of improving the videos and final project which will get it up to speed with my other sets
