Thank you for all your videos! Extremely helpful/informative. You’ve made up my decision to start getting mould king sets
@@sithbricks_66 if money wasn’t an issue, which top 3 Mould King Sets would you get?
@@Legomaegg0 bit late but, razor crest is awesome, venator obvs and whatever. this site called YOURWOBB sells for cheaper
Looks great! Love that modification you did to cover that gap. If I get it will definitely need to do something to fix that as well
Looking into some bigger sets like mould kind, and def like your videos. Won’t watch all of them as of right now, but when I buy the sets, will definitely be looking into it more, keep it up!
Thanks!! Take your time and enjoy the builds and if you have any questions along the way hit me up, I’d be glad to help!
I finally got this...Im going to build it this week at some point...soon as I finish I am getting the Monarch, and the Executor. Im excited to have them all together. My monarch is getting modified though to be the post Thrawn Chimaera from the EU
That’s awesome!! Welcome to the MK family and I’m here to answer any questions you may have!
@@sithbricks_66 oh I have the Eclipse, the Lepin Executor and the original run of the Imperial Star Destroyer, the X-wing, Y-wing, looking for the B-wing, I have about 15 of the Mk sets now...far superior to lego in my opinion
Would be keen to seee how you display your sets!
That’s coming very soon!! I’ve got to finish renovating my Lego room and then you’ll see them all displayed in their full glory!
Thanks for the review
Hey man, I was thinking of getting one of these builds but I was just wondering are the instructions easy to follow?
For the most part it’s very easy to follow except when you attach the red bricks (there’s a video on that playlist that covers how to do those). There’s a video in my Mould King vs Lego playlist that shows you the difference.
Awesome build !!! Do you have the link where you purchased this Venator ?

I have this kit and am in the process of attaching the bottom wings. you are right about the placement and how strong the magnets are. however i cant seem to find how to attach it properly. any suggestions on how to attach those bottom wings as the instructions are not really that clear.
My instructions didn’t have any pictures at all so I had to “wing” it🤦🏻♂️🤣.
What I did was to take the magnets off (but leave their mounting piece on) and then checked the line up and if it looked good then I put the magnets back on and the tried it out.
It took about 3x before I got it right (for both top and bottom wings) but have patience and don’t be afraid to move the mounting pieces around to get the best fit possible for your build
I built it and mine doesn’t have your’s problems except for the engines part. It’s a really nice set
I have a question
Does plastic feels like the one on Lego sets?
By the way great review
If you've ever delt with non LEGO bricks, You'd know thats basically not a thing that will probably ever happen. Theres a reason this is half the price of Lego. Lego are made of a very specific blend of plastics to get them to be as hard yet durable as they are. I imagine these bricks, like all the other bootleg brick printers, are going to be significantly softer plastic.
@@117johnpar This is actually not true, Mould King is getting up to almost the same quality in terms of fit and strength of bricks; granted not perfect yet but they are getting really close. They still have to tweak their friction rotation pieces to have a tiny bit more tightness but for a quarter of the price of Lego, I'm certainly adding a lot more to my collection. I have this set, granted I changed a few of the pieces so the wings fit really nicely and added the top piece as Sith Bricks did. I actually enjoy modifying the kits when they're not perfect, makes my brain tick :D
Also just want to point out many people have stated that Lego bricks seem weaker and figures are cracking faster in comparison to 90s era legos. So that with the cost increase people are starting to steer away from legos and going to more alternatives
If you've ever dealt with non Lego-bricks, you'd know that's simply not true.
GoBricks are almost lego quality (like 99% of their pieces are of equal quality).
People often even consider them to be better than original lego bricks and while I don't agree with that (Lego still has the best bricks), the difference is very, very marginal.
The difference in price obviously doesn't come from the quality of the plastic. Lego has to spend actual money on designing and marketing their sets while companies like Mould King just steal designs...
@@royallegacy8441the expensive price most likely comes from the injection molding process. I worked as a design engineer for injection molds for a while and plastic molding is an expensive industry. A good mold can cost half a million dollars and Lego no doubt has dozens of molds if not hundreds
I want to get it for Christmas should I buy ?
Absolutely!!! You’ll love putting this together, just follow my videos to help with the tricky areas and don’t be afraid to think outside the box.
do you know how much the venator weighs, as i’l about to order a shelf to hold it
Wow that is an excellent model although I don’t really trust the quality of it so I just need some more research.
Thanks and the quality is as good as Lego and 100% interchangeable. Instruction booklets are better than Lego too.
In all of my builds I don’t have one negative comment about product quality. Sure there’s the occasional missing piece but Lego has missing pieces too. Piece replacement is easy with MK, just contact the buyer and they’ll get you those missing pieces.
Any other questions let me know!!
@@sithbricks_66 Thank you! I will definitely consider buying the super star destroyer I just don’t know if I can build that model because I’m pretty new to the hobby. And thank you so much for introducing mould king to me I’m just getting into the hobby and it really burns your pockets thank you.

Hey does it have a interior, that is the deciding factor to buy the set.
It does not, you could probably fabricate one yourself but it would be big at all.
The Eclipse is the only one with an interior
Does anyone know the name of the magnets so I can look up what they look like I’d like to order magnets the same size but not as strong for when I get this set in 2 weeks I can replace them! I will be modding this set aswell
I do not but maybe hit the Mould king website to see if you can buy them as a part
For the price it looks good
Absolutely however this set has a lot of tricky areas so I recommend doing another Mould king set first (Executor) to get the hang of how you have ad-lib before tackling this set
Looks pretty good for not even 300 but I'd rather wait for lego to make another one when ever that happens lol
That’s understandable, a UCS Venator would be awesome, but id hate to see how much Lego over graves for it
@@sithbricks_66 Well they just made one and its 650€. That brought me here because double the price ain't worth it.
@@TeabaggEditing absolutely correct! I went to the Lego store the other day and was throughly disappointed with the set & lack of minifigs.
I will not be buying it
I’m missing a piece from bag 1 on the venator I bought it last week and it arrived today my plan was to finish it before New Years but now I’m just sitting here with a piece missing
Oh no!! Try reaching out to the person who sold it, usually they’re good about getting replacements out.
@@sithbricks_66 so do I have to send it back or will they just send me the mission pieces
@@solarflix5723 they’ll send you the kidding ones.
I was missing some pieces from the TIE Bomber and they send me the missing pieces plus about 20 extra
@@solarflix5723 I bought my Venator from Walmarts website through a 3rd party seller.
Look online who was the seller of your set and there should be a way to contact them
looks unfinished, is it done?
Yes it’s done and you’re correct with that statement as well. Although the Venator is a fun and extremely challenging build, it leaves a lot to be desired.
This set is in desperate need of a redesign
Long time Lego fan, but this is my first time ever hearing about Mould King. How does the quality of the bricks compare to Lego?
Would love to buy this set, price alone is a huge difference, there’s no way I can afford the Lego Venator at $800+, but I don’t know anything about Mould King quality
Mould King is solid quality!!! Their bricks are fully interchangeable with legos and their sets have far more detail than Lego!
You won’t regret getting a set! I would recommend starting with the executor first. It’s a good build that will get you familiar with how Mould king sets go
That makes me happy to hear! I’m very excited to have found out about this brand. If quality is the same, I’m gonna start saving up for this model! Executor sounds cool too!
@@joshuaespinosa4902 glad to hear!!
The Venator is a tricky build and it pays to have some experience with Mould king before working it.
Don’t be afraid to tinker and modify your build as you go, sometimes what’s in the picture doesn’t translate to what the bricks tell you
@@sithbricks_66 Is it tricky because the instructions are unclear compared to Lego? The biggest Lego builds I've completed in the past are the Star Destroyer and the Saturn V, those went well for me.
@@joshuaespinosa4902 check out my instructions comparison video in my Mould King vs Lego playlist. It has a good breakdown of everything
how is the plastic quality compared to lego bricks?
@@sithbricks_66 glad to hear, i’ll definitely consider it. what set would you recommend for a first timer with mould king?
How big is this set? Length/width/height with stand. Looking to purchase and put on a book shelf.
Finally got my venator together!!!! What a royal pain it was ..not QUITE as bad as the Nebulon B but still...the initial building isnt bad but getting those hull plates to fit right.....yuck...
Anyways, I used your initial shape design and did my own greebling for the missing hull piece in front of the bridge tower...
I would be interested to see, once you get your man cave going again....did you ever have any plans of getting the nebulon B? If you are interested in seeing it built, I can email you some pictures. Its a monster and its probably the absolute hardest block build I have ever built. It was bad enough that I sat down and contemplated putting it into my spare blocks crate. I ended up completely redesigning the stand but in the end the stands went away because I hung it on the wall to finish building it HAHAHA
Do they have the Star Wars license
They don’t need too, it’s considered a MOC. As long as they don’t use legos specific design or bricks then it’s perfectly legal
What website did you use?
I bought my Venator off Walmart but they can be found on AliExpress and Amazon

Hey Lena, you comments are showing in your language and I can’t translate them to English yet.
I’m going to try something today to see if it works
I'm gonna have to pass on this one.. I'll just end up throwing it in the trash
youve actually done a terrible job. I know its an awful set but your panel lines are atrocious you need to put bricks on the support arms under the upper panels to raise them.
I do plan on tinkering with it later in hopes of cleaning up the lines, thanks for the input!!!
@@sithbricks_66 sorry i was a bit drunk when i wrote that i didnt mean to sound so blunt
@@johnlennon6491 all good man, I don’t mind criticism (retired military so I got thick skin)😁
The design of this MOC looks unfinished and incomplete. This is not on Mould king rather the original designer. Just my opinion but this Venator looks awful and incomplete with large gaps and poor construction.
