Here’s how the rank/level system works (from my experience). The level system allows you to access more areas of the facility, for example level 1 personnel can only access containment 1 scp’s. the higher the level the more you can access more of the facility and more dangerous scp’s. players with a level 5 overseer gamepass can access everything in the facility including entering control room and scp containment rooms. The rank system changes your team model depending on your rank (the highest being overseer), teams with gas masks (such as chaos, overseer security department, RRT, and beta - 7) can enter coolant pumps without taking damage. Some features can also be locked if you don’t have a certain rank, for example you cannot use the elevator near scientific department spawn of you’re not a director rank. One more thing to touch on about is that as you rank up you will be give items to assist you in your job (except class-D), for example reaching Sargent rank in security department will grant you a taser and cuffs. Little help for this game: CON / is Containment 1, CON // is Containment 2, CON X CP is the checkpoint, CON X is the 3rd area, CON X LOWER is the lower area, CDC is Class D cells. IA, SiD, and 05 have medkits. IA and SiD have the regular medkits, 05 has the upgraded version.

When you use a foundation role u can't random kill but if your Class D o CI you can kill them because its part of riot
In scp roleplay you can get killed without a gun as a class sit in the corner were you buy a gun and you get killed
