Hands down the best language learning video I've seen so far: doing the "sounds like" and having English words and the translation on the screen at the same time makes it so much easier to learn. You should do more!
interesting points ,if anyone else is searching for how to learn German easily try Corbandy Learn German Crusher ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my co-worker got amazing results with it.
Bravo! I have watched/listened to a dozen German for tourists videos and yours is by far the best. Greatly appreciated are: saying the word or phrase regularly, then slowly; and the list in the description. Thank you! My trip to Germany will be appreciably more enjoyable.
@@mari.johnson hi mam I'm an Indian & my name is MAHENDHAR Actually I want to say is it's compulsory for me to learn German Deutsch so will you help me... 😊
Great fun, Lars seems to be having a great time and his enjoyment is infectious, this is a great help thanks. And Mari, what is German for WOW! All the best, thanks again.
Tolles Video -- obwohl es für Touristen gemeint ist, ich finde es echt geil für Anfänger, denn es hat auch einen guten Sinn für Humor :D. Danke für's hochladen, weiter so. ^_^
This is great and I should have started my lessons here, but I found that in Germany they are a bit more casual, like the way they just say 'danka' rather than 'danka schön', and 'bitte' rather than 'bitte schön'. I also rarely heard 'entscholdigen' and never heard 'entscholdigen sie'. I used 'entscholdigen' and said it all the time. I guess I was raised to be polite no matter who I'm talking to.
Oh, they also almost always said just 'morgen' instead of 'guten morgen', just like in the US where it's common to just hear 'morning' as a casual greeting.
For German speakers: what is the etiquette around “Danke” and “Danke Schön”? I’ve always took it as it being the equivalent of “Thanks” and “Thank you very much” Is “Danke” potentially rude in certain situations; I.e. not polite/formal enough, and is “Danke Schön” too formal in certain situations?
For Guten Morgen he says it like “Guten more” at least that’s what I hear and then when he does sounds like he makes it sound like”Guten Morgen” SO WHICH IS IT
So when you said good morning it sounds like the G in morgen is silent. But when you pronounced it slow you used it. So which is it? Not in a rude way just making sure I get it right! Lol
The video is good but you need to fix the audio. My humble opinion is probably a good idea to invest in high quality audio microphone so have a clearer sharper audio

My parents live in Ansbach :) Just a difference experience than the bigger cities but German is such an awesome place to visit.
It really is! Making these videos made me want to go back!
Thank you guys, I'm trying to learn German language from you. Really excellent.
Also helpful: 'drücken' means 'push' and 'ziehen' means 'pull'. You'll see doors marked with these, it's not always clear by the look of the door.
Such a lovely video!! I'm studying for a month in Berlin this summer so this was great to watch! Dankeeee x
this video is very encouraging to start learning german, good job!

+CharlottesSkye I really hope to visit there one day!
I wonder how the second "e" got into your version of "nein" :). And also the scond "h" in Bahnhof went missing :-)
danke shon Lars
Oh, they also almost always said just 'morgen' instead of 'guten morgen', just like in the US where it's common to just hear 'morning' as a casual greeting.
I love this im going to germany in 8 days
I just learned how to say my name in Spanish. Then I saw this.

Goran Dragic is giving german lessons now?
(And you do have a great smile)
Danke
Sehr gut
is it correct to say "Guten Morgen Herr" (for "good morning Sir")? Thank you
Happy Singh If you add the last name after “Herr”, you’re good to go. Otherwise, you can just say “Guten Morgen”
My family is from Göppingen
Knew most of these but Im terrible at pronunciation. Thnx.
I'm going to travel to Germany tomorrow, trying to learn these phrases but it's just so difficult for me to pronounce
Sometimes I see Vielin Danke. What does that translate to?
Sorry if I spelled it wrong
Many thanks
The video is good but you need to fix the audio. My humble opinion is probably a good idea to invest in high quality audio microphone so have a clearer sharper audio
I was just wondering is excuse me in the context of sorry (like if you bang in to someone or burp)or I need you to move (like to get past someone)
Jesse James You can use it in both instances, there is no difference. But you could also just say “Entschuldigung” in the first context.
more viedeos guys'. Bitte
Does “Das ist gut” mean that is good or that’s good
If you would translate it word for word it would mean "that is good" :) we don't have a short version for it in Germany
JA, DAS IST GUT!
