The dialogue in this is so witty and real, but it stays true to the spirit of the original story. The driver encouraging Edward was so wholesome while Gordon's banter with his driver was just so funny. Can't wait to see more!
Honestly, Marc Forster should hire you for the dialogue for his movie. This is a prime example of how you make this franchise more adult. So many other fan series just make the characters swear unnecessarily or speak over-dramatic dialogue. You manage to make the dialogue and voice acting sharper, Wittier, yet more natural, and still true to the core essence of the characters and story. I bet this is exactly how the reverend himself imagined the engines speaking to one another without the filter of the books.
Exactly what I was thinking as well. He has a true talent for writing naturally flowing, character driven dialogue, which doesn't hamper the plot or character development.
i love how edwards says "what do you think of that?" at the end comapred to how it's usually said. Most people make it much more boastful, but the way the line is delivered here makes edward simply seem happy and excited about it and much more wholesome. great retelling of the first story!

GOD THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD MAN This is just like an actual episode of Thomas, the characters personalities are SO ON POINT, hell even Edward feeling slightly down about himself is so realistic- it's not apart of his character, but that's because he only felt down after Gordon and the others teased him about his age, and from then on he regained his confidence as time went on! IT'S SO COOL DUDE I LOVE THIS also Thomas' little back talk when Topham asks about the coaches is just- god damn, I love it when people do that with these characters- by adding small details like that into their dialouge Trampy you are the perfect capsule for writing characters, never let anyone tell you otherwise

Man this is like if Sodor was a real place, as all the engine's personalities including the staff are on full display. Absolutely well-crafted. Just superb. I believe the voice acting was based off of TUGS.
I can't get over how well done these Movies and Quickies are. Taking the original stories and remixing the dialogue to be expanded and feel like a realistic conversation with that glorious British Banter! That little detail with the driver responding to TFC's order to steam up Edward... I love it!
Well, if Topham can call the man who sold him Henry a _________ ___________ _________, then the engines should be no different in terms of colorful dialect.
Me and some friends were talking about your Thomas Voice Overs/Dubs, and I at one point said "Trampy and Co should just redub all of Series 1-5" and this alone just makes me wish that was truer than ever, This new take more akin of the Railway Series where not everyone sees eye to eye, and are more generally jerks towards each other, more looking out for themselves individually, Edward being the clear exception, is genuinely amazing, Especially with everyone's chemistry and their openness to jab at each other, like Thomas telling Henry to "Just get a new boiler" after Henry's Boiler ache comment, is such a refreshing take after the Later Model, early, and then later CGI Eras' more watered/dumbed down "[Character] is my (sometimes Best) Friend and I would never want to upset them :)" approach, We *need* more of the trains just being general jerks to each other more often
Thomas, but in the style of TUGS? I’M SOLD!! Now this is what Thomas needed! A fresh take on all the stories we all know and love, and more, with fantastic dialog and voice acting, and still true to what Thomas really is. Mattel, and all your horrible reboots, eat your heart out!
That wasn’t great, no no no no no nooo, even using outstanding would still be an understatement for how spectacular this movie was. this was the best banter I have ever heard between the engines in a while. there is such a rawness to it, feels so real and genuine, it feels like this is what really happened back in 1923 and Wilberts book was the censored kid friendly tale of this event. If this is what the first movie is like. oh boy, am I ready for more. Also if you ever use that moment where TFC is trying to drive a way from the argument, maybe have the car broken down and he just signs. Keep up the outstanding great work Kyle this was a joy to listen to.
the dialogue genuinely sounds like something you'd hear in an actual movie, and i'm all for it you nailed this one trampy, i'd love to see more of this
First, I didn't think I'd like all the engines being jerks to each other as much as I do, and it gives me much greater respect for Edward, also, I'd really like to see how these takes on the engines develop as they possibly become more friendly with one another, and how you introduce Percy. To think that the original video was in your drafts folder was a travesty to keep it down this long, this is great!
This... this is art. This is beautiful. I love how Thomas is an annoying prick who no one likes. I love how there is a clear hierarchy to the Big Engines, and how Henry and James are competing to impress Gordon. I love how the little wholesome moments with Edward, and how the humans clearly love him and hate everyone else. It is perfect. You nailed the feel and tone of the RWS and Classic Era, but in a more adult-oriented style. I can't wait to see more. Also, nice foreshadowing at 3:42
Why do people like to look down on Thomas for his immaturity but love Gordon amd James for their immaturity? Also, its not "adult" oriented. Its just realistic. Adult oriented would be more cussing amd innuendo and lack of resolve.
Man, these are so brilliant. James' "Ohhhh... I didn't think of that." absolutely fuckin killed me, it's so in character. These movies actually can have a fair bit of heart to them and the nice moments are even sweeter.
Very nicely done! This really does feel like true Thomas content, it’s fun watching the engines banter, with the true personalities showing. Very nice retelling of the original story that made all of the series possible - keep up the great work Trampy!
Its amazing how, with just a little spicing up of the dialogue, you're able to turn the dynamic of these 5 engines into something very compelling! They're still the characters I know and love, just with a little more edge. Honestly, I could listen to them argue and bicker all day! Well done.
Witty dialogue and dynamics, Tugs style conversations and ribbing, yet still true to the characters and source. Edward's genuine enthusiasm is great, even the other engines can't help but be nice to him while they're insulting each other. Looking forward for more Trampy content, and others adaptations of your content, in the future.

An underrated part IMO is when Thomas first enters and the big engines (except Edward) resent him. Like how they groan, and how Gordon mutters "Please give me strength".
Now this is one way you reboot series. And I'm glad not everything is played for laughs. A lot of good genuine moments. I also liked how you rearranged the scene at night to be at the end of the video. It really works for the way this story is told here.
Now this was simply delightful! I love how you captured all the unique tones of the characters, and Sir Topham Hatt just dejectedly listening to the Big Engine trio arguing was hilarious.
This is fantastic! It's so awesome that you decided to make the jump to full-blown episode dubs. If they were to ever make a reboot of Thomas that's more faithful to the source material, it'd be a crime to not have you on the writing team. You have quite a talent when it comes to writing for the characters & their banter!
I hate to say it, but in some ways this is better than the source material. It gets brought up a lot how mature the TVS, and especially RWS, were, but in the end, they were still for kids. This stays true to the original feel, but with more mature, and honestly, more interesting, dialogue

They add in humor missing from the original stories while staying true to both the storylines and characters themselves which is just beautiful ❤️ Keep up the great work man I can't wait to see what's next. Also James has to be one of my favorite characters out of this whole series. He's always trying to stand up for himself or make himself look smarter but in the end it never works (ex.
