Delphine & The Thalmor Quest

I should be smarter, but I am not. I should be asleep, but I am not. Instead I am doing this gawd-awful Thalmor Embassy mission quest thingy and as bad as it is mission/quest and as bad as Delphine is as a character, I am the worst because this is my second Dragonborn play-through. Lawd have mercy on small, smooth-brained numpsters such as I.
I guess I don't like this mission because it's one where I am stripped of all my kit and it's one which is pointless (it's a Delphine dead-end). Well, it feeeeels like a dead-end. Yeh yeh Esbern. Big whoop you get a trophy for it! And I loathe it because I worry that this glitch-prone game will not return my kit.
Is that why Delphine is despised by others? I mean, her morals and dead-ending is no worse or better than most quests in this game. Her visage is as 2011 as other characters and NPCs (aside from Serana but her non-Vamp eyes are weird af)... Grainy, sand-papery, ick, ick, eek.
Yeh I dunno hey. But I despise her for this Thalmor mission.
