    finally saw a cable management video that's from pinas, this is really encouraging! so far my desk looks clean since i have few stuff on my table rn, but the cables at the floor really break the cleanliness (plus may printer pa sa paanan ko) thanks for the great video!

    Hey man , I just wanna point out that there's a hole in your monitor stand for you to slot your hdmi cables inside so it can hide them better 😉. It's a good attempt but I still think there's ways to make it better ! 11:20. You could see the middle monitor stand has a hole for you to hide your cables so it won't appear as if the wires ran out.
    Quick tip : to hide your keyboard wires. You can drill a hole in the middle of your desktop and slot in your keyboard wires to make it cleaner !

    • @hwsph
      @hwsph  3 роки тому

      Thanks Sebastian! Good point! Let me rewire that last part. :P As for the keyboard wires, I really like avoiding drilling into my wood plank. I feel like I’m “betraying the wood” hahaha

    OK naman yung cable management sir, malinis naman tignan. Sa setup ko though luma specs ng Pc ko, gumamit ako ng cable moulding sa mga wires then screw ko ito behind the desk then spiral sleeve naman dun sa wires naman behind ng monitor. For me, ok na iyang ganyan monitor arm kasi kung fixed type yung arm, ang hirap pantayin yung top edges ng monitor kung magkaiba ang size.

    We have the same method I also used Cable Clips and that clear adhesive tape from shopee the difference lang talga is mas mabigat yung load ng wires sa inyo kaya in the long run pwedeng matanggal yung dikit.!! Recommendations:
    Monitor arm: NB H160 Dual Arm Double Monitor - can mount it vertically or side by side. available on Shopee & lazada
    cable management: slotted cable duct - will be visible under the desk but it still manages cables neatly and can let you reconfigure your setups easily. also won't occupy the space on the back of your table that you can use to stick on LED lights, i think?

      Hi Ms. Aerea011. I think the ultrawide might be too heavy for the arm, as the specified monitor sizes is from 17" to 27" only, with the load from 4.4 -19.8 lbs (2-9KG) for each monitor.

    • @AereaO11
      @AereaO11 2 роки тому

      @@dave032795 i think there's actually NB H180 for that which accomodates heavier monitors. They're both the same when it comes to design, only difference is the capacity.
      Edit: iirc, NB180 is only for up to 32" monitors. If his monitor is 34" then i guess it wouldn't support his monitor either.

    What a neat work desk! I'll try to clean my ugly cables pag free na ko haha kakapalit lang kasi ng table kaya need mag ayos ulit. Nice. But trust me. The double adhesive will not last. I think only a few weeks sa akin. I ended up buying a screw type instead. Or better yet, glue gun kung ayaw mo mag butas sa mesa mo. Tanggalin ang stock adhesive and replace with glue using glue gun. Will last long

      This is true for the long run. Fortunately, my problem are just 3 adhesive hooks kasi sobrang bigat Yung load. :p totoo, screw type the best. Metal bracket sa likod na Naka screw, perfect. Hoping it won't need to come to that though haha

      @@hwsph depende rin po sa mesa or pagdidikitan. If madaling mabakbak ang outer part niya, or skin part, not advisable. Best talaga ang screw. Kahit screw lang sa katawan nung ginamit mo na cable tie. isa lang na katamtamang haba na screw. Forever na yan wag lang of course kalawangin ha ha. Or yung stainless type na screw. Sa akin din kasi bigat nung cable. Halos parehas tayo nng ginawa na cable management. Since meron ako glue gun, ginamit ko pero pinalitan ko ng screw kasi after like few months bumagsak or nung dagdag ako ng cable, natanggal. Sir pwede makahingi ng tips on where to put the ups? Most of the setups na nakikita ko laging surge protector. Di kasi pwede surge protector lang dito sa area namin since laging nagbobrownout dito samin. As of now nakaibabaw lang siya sa desk ko at medyo messy siyang tingnan haha.

      No monitor wobble thankfully. If your monitor wobbles, your desk might need to be more sturdy.

    But where do plug your phone charger? Thats one of my challnges in managing cables and the desk Having outlets at arms reach for charging devicea.

    • @hwsph
      @hwsph  3 роки тому +1

      I have two "charging stations" in my room. One near the bed and the other near the printer which is near the pc. ua-cam.com/video/EUJyMNSL2GM/v-deo.html I highly recommend these adhesive cable organizers to act as the charging station. I placed it in the video description of the video i linked. :) while not within arms reach, I try to not use my phone when it is fast charging. If it's viber or whatsapp, I have the apps on my pc as well.

      Thanks for the suggestions. Its really more on having an accessible power outlet. I sometimes unplug my charger when I take it to work (prepandemic) and bring my work laptop home. I ended up having the power strip around the far side of the desk.

    • @hwsph
      @hwsph  3 роки тому

      I recommend getting a second charger and an extension cord. Ahhh but what you can also do is buy the extensio. USB cord I bought for my monitor (featured in the end of my video) and charge your phone through the monitor usb port.

    • @hwsph
      @hwsph  3 роки тому

      Here you won't need an extra charger. You just need to have a compatible retractable USB connector

      Hi, it is not but you could probably find it in Ikea as well. Both pieces of furniture were hand made by a furniture supplier in Metro Manila, link to my table video is in the video description, they did the dresser as well. I made sure it was the same height as my desk.

    Do you recommend using twist ties instead of velcro tie? I saw a 50m black twist tie in shopee for just 45 pesos.

    • @hwsph
      @hwsph  3 роки тому +1

      Velcro all the way. More environmentally friendly and is reusable for years. Parang twist ties are only good for one use?

    • @hwsph
      @hwsph  3 роки тому +1

      Also you need to be versatile. Kanina tinangal ko keyboard ko. Had to remove all the cable ties :p Kung twist ties I wouldn't be able to reuse or attach them as quickly afterwards
