Freddie felt the disrespect after they intentionally walked smith to go against him
Imagine walking Smith to get to Freddie ..lol
I don't think red Sox disrespect freddie. It just 1 out with runner on 2nd and 3rd. And they try to hold on to 1 run lead hoping for double play

To add insult to injury, Freddie's HR went in the opponent’s bullpen while they were throwing for the next reliever. All the sudden they see a ball enter their zone! It was like he said suck on that for intentional walking Smith! 😀

Great win for the dodgers, can’t believe they intentionally walked for Freddie but just shows how deep this lineup can be. Hopefully will be a great second half of the season

FF hits a lot more ground balls than Smith does, but they overthought this one trying to get the double play and avoid the sac fly.

It’s basic baseball 101. Freddy hitting 238 against Lefty’s and 310 against righty’s. Most managers will walk a right handed batter (Will Smith) to get a lefty on lefty matchup. In this case Freddy made them pay.

That's a sign of respect for Will Smith that they would do something as crazy as load the bases for Freddie Freeman. On the other hand, he does hit into a decent # of double plays, many more ground balls than Will Smith. But he's got such great hands he gets a sinking pitch low on the inside half and puts it over the fence.
You have to be crazy to purposely load the bases with Freddie being the next hitter. All the same a much needed win

The "Official scorer" needs to be drug checked for giving D. Smith a 2B on the blatant error by Vargas.
Never load the bases for Freeman, Teoscar, Heyward or Muncy. These guys have combined to hit 6 Grand Slams for the Dodgers. Freeman and Teoscar hit 2 each.
I'm surprised Shohei hasn't had a grand slam yet. Granted, I don't think he has had many bases loaded opportunities.
For Ohtani to even get the opportunity to hit one, Kike, Taylor, Lux, Vargas and Pages have to get on base more.

To set up an inning ending double play?????? Not hard to see if you know baseball.
He hits more ground balls, hits into quite a few double plays. So they take the risk to try to preserve their one run lead. It backfired but it's not hard to understand the thinking. High risk, potentially high reward. Hard to see how they keep the lead if they don't get the DP there.

Dodgers have work to do. Bottom of the order and bench bring nothing. Lux, Taylor and Kiki are big holes on offense. 4 hits and all from the top 4. Have pitching coming back but need another bat and better bench.Have to do something at trade deadline.
