welcome back to another video of delusion...we've been TOO serious round these parts lately it's time to mix it up and do nonsense. so here's some nonsense! as I'm sure you're aware, the eras tour is starting up again in PARIS next week and rumor has it there will be some setlist changes to Taylor Swift's mammoth worldwide excursion courtesy of a little album called the tortured poets department.

It's easy to say "how many times do you need to see the same chair dance" when you've gone to six shows though. Not everyone has seen it and I think it's a pretty iconic part of the set. I'd love to see it live!

She’s already told us what she’s going to cut. Think about what was cut from the eras movie?? She did that for a reason. Mark my words she’s cutting the archer, cardigan, wildest dreams and tis the damn season. I don’t think she will cut long live because… well it’s long live. But I think she will replace those 4 songs with 4 songs from ttpd.
An excellent theory - fits with when we finally see what Taylor's going to do it is always something she was telling us all along.

@@cloetaut768 It’s not horrible, but, having 2 of the best producers in the world (Kevin Parker & Danny L Harle) produce your album, promote said album as “underground rave" inspired and then talk about the album in interviews as if it’s really profound just for it to sound uninspired and generic is a letdown to say the least.

Here's my delusional concept:
As the Evermore set ends with ‘Tolerate It’, instead of the silence going into the snakes hissing we immediately hear typewriters.
Coming up from the stair Diamond lift, Taylor appears with a typewriter on a desk with wheels to perform ‘Fortnight’. She is joined by her female dancers for Verse 2. For the chorus, the girls get up onto the desks as the male dancers wheel them around for the rest of the song.
Taylor and her female dancers get off the desks as ‘Florida’ begins. The male dancers wheel the desks away as drums come out of the lifts used for the Evermore trees. The dancers and Taylor make their way to the main stage before the chorus where they hit the drums to the beats.
After ‘Florida’, the dancers wheel the drums off stage as we hear the opening to ‘So Long, London’. Taylor performs the song alone, holding a bouquet of dead flowers, while walking from the main stage to the end of the catwalk (like walking down the aisle).
At the end of the catwalk, there is a stool that Taylor sits on with a white acoustic guitar after the song where she gives a speech about her inspiration for the album before singing ‘LOML’.
Afterwards, Taylor starts to play ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ acoustically. She sings the first verse and chorus with the guitar, but the full production comes in at the second verse as she walks to the center diamond and meets her female dancers in bridesmaids dresses.
As the song ends the TTPD signs from the rehearsal footage come up from the back diamond lift, the dancers take them and move them into position. Using the bar and moving them around like in ‘Vigilante Shit’, they perform ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’.
After the song concludes, the dancers leave with the signs through the back diamond lift. ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’ begins as Taylor sits on the floor. She performs the first verse sitting on the ground before being lifted by the diamond during the bridge as she stands.
And as the final song from this Era, the dancers come out through the screen door in black suits for ‘Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?’ as they perform similar choreography to ‘Mastermind’ with top hats and canes, after the song is done and there’s only one male dancer left.
They’re lowered into the stage through the back diamond lift as the snakes interlude begins. The Reputation era then begins with ‘…Ready For It?’ like before.

Eras tour is 3 hours and 15 minutes at the moment,so we can add 15 minutes for tttpd and we will have 3:30 show , maybe that's why Taylor always said it's 3:30 hours long cause she always planned ofc to adding ttpd to setlist

That’s what I’ve been thinking. The champagne problems speech from the movie she said she had made one more album than what had been released at the time. “You’ve made like 5 albums that you haven’t done tours for.” At the time, she had only made 4 albums that she had toured, NOT 5. Lover, folklore, evermore, and midnights.

Im going to the opening night in Paris and i'm so excited, it's crazy that there could be big changes to the playlist. Last time I saw here was Speak Now tour in 2011 in Paris, the concert hall was half empty. It' so crazy for her to comeback to Paris being now the biggest singer in the world.

Love these ideas, Z! I really love the idea of peppering TTPD throughout the entire set, especially because she has alluded to this back and forth going on for a decade. And, at the end of the day, these songs are really all about her and her relationship to the ideas of intimacy, truth, public persona, desire, power…. So i truly hope your vision is realized!

Hey Zach!! Just a few things I wanna say (this is before I watched the video, I will edit my comment if things happen I'd like to add)
#1 "But Daddy I Love Him", 100% on the setlist, I mean come onnnn and maybe after "Long Live" that would be hilarious-
#2 I don't think "Down Bad" should be on the set list, I feel like it has too many curse words, I know Taylor already cusses quite a bit in the Era's Tour, but that seems a bit much for the younger swifties, like it's her words and stuff but just my opinion!!
#3 "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" is a MUST HAVE!! (here's me saying less cussing and adding 2 songs that have cussing)
#4 "loml" is lowkey a flop- just saying
#5 Imagine "Florida!!!" being the opening for the Era's Tour, and she had Florence as her like starting guest? I would die I am addicted to Florence's voice!!

I think fortnight as she said points you to the others songs and the story.when Post Malone goes into the phone booth he comes out of the booth as Travis his plaid shirt his pinky ring and his friendship bracelet. He is her superman she has said he saved her and has helped her move on .She said the manuscript is no longer hers she is turning it over to the fans.

“who’s afraid of little old me” looking already at the title is a song she would totally add to the setlist. It’s a very powerful song that would sound amazingly live with her vocals. The way the song sounds also reminds me of “illicit affairs” not only that but the song just really looks like something she would preform at the tour especially looking at the message and emotion behind it.

Hearing you say Mastermind would have to have been cut made my heart ache a little, not gonna lie. It's also my favorite song on Midnights lol
2 ideas. She will end Lover with "you're my, my, my, my/oh, you're my, my, my, my" and instead of singing "darling, you're my, my, my... lover" zingt ze "darling, I... feel so high school/everytime I look at you" + rest of the last chorus until "you already know babe" (so, it's extremely shortened, but gives the singers enough time to get dressed for the Fearless set) and then the normal intermezzo for Fearless starts, so Taylor can get dressed too (so yes, The Archer is skipped). So High School is a perfect set-up for "will you go back to high school with me?" and fits the vibe as well, so this would make a perfect transition (+ it makes the Lover song about Travis - feels like a Taylor thing to do). I havent figured out other transitions in quite so much detail, but I definitely think that "Who's afraid of little old me?" is the perfect fit for the evermore to reputation transition. Maybe after tolerate it, she gets her willow cape back on, and some dancers (with reputation clothes underneath lab coats or something) act out a part as if she's in an asylum, facilitating am outfit change when one of the last "so who's afraid of little old me?" transitions into "so/Don't blame me.../they're burning all the witches even if you aren't one/don't blame me" or some kind if musical intermezzo like that. Then she goes straight into "this ain't for the best/my reputation's never been worse, so/you must like me for me". This means "...ready for it?" gets skipped, not Delicate, because I think she wants to keep the cracks-in-the-podium choreography.
So just watched eras tour and so many of your predictions were correct!!!

My biggest fear remains she is gonna cut my favourite songs to add TTPD and then choose the worst songs from TTPD. But, that's just my fear, my prediction as to what she chooses is similar to yours, and that is not a bad setlist (although I wish we could replace Fortnight with a better song 🤣)
We are however not in agreement as to what she should cut 🤣 We are not shortening My Tears Ricochet, it's a sacred song! And Champagne Problems gotta stay.

I LOVE your concept for ICDIWABH!!! I would love to see her take it a step further and do a manic mental breakdown Barbie vibe. She’s in her Cruel Summer bodysuit but it’s ripped and dirty, her hair and makeup is all messed up, and she keeps missing her marks but her dancers come in and kind of guide her around to where she needs to be. I’m picturing manically happy facial expressions and super exaggerated movements. Love being delulu on this channel with you!! ❤
I really enjoyed your detailed “let’s do it this way.” I am fantasizing that icdiwabh is going to be take inspiration from A Chorus Line. The musical reveals issues faced by various dancers auditioning for a chorus line number. It ends with the performance itself, where the dancers absolutely kill it, resplendent in costumes with top hats, tails and canes. These are people who have issues in real life, but set them aside to dazzle. When I saw the photo of some of her dancers with hats and canes…there are parallels.
i had seen other people saying that the backing vocalists and dancers take the time during the archer and cardigan to change outfits (also to get the rest of the next segment ready), that's why she's alone on stage during those songs and why she can't really cut those songs, but if that's not the case then i agree that she could cut or make those songs shorter, in fact i believe those plus the last great american dinasty, and those speeches during the folklore and evermore sets could be cut, also let's turn WANBT and IKYWT into a mashup
as someone who loves the archer, i agree that it’ll likely be cut because it simply doesn’t fit in with the rest of the lover set. it’ll be unfortunate because it would’ve been the first time she comes over to my section of the floor but it’s for the greater good 😭

Champagne Problems is absolutely 💯! It’s one of my favorite performances & songs, cannot cut it! Additionally, Tolerate It & Illicit Affairs are totally necessary. Love ❤️ them, cannot cut them either. I think she’ll add minutes to the concert. That’s my opinion. 😊
OMG every time I hear Who's Afraid of Little Old Me I picture the scary version of Taylor from the Look What You Made Me Do video singing it, I am all for a mashup of these 2 songs!

She loves to have a slow down moment (mostly on piano), and has done it to majority of the Eras. I also don't think she's just going with the most popular ones... I think this is going to have the exact treatment that the "new" albums (hadn't been performed before Eras tour/didn't get their own tour) had. At least one deep cut and slower moment.
Also, just because I touched on that, I'm pretty positive the reason why Lover, Folklore, Evermore and Midnights are so long is because they didn't get their own tour, so she tried to make it even. 😂
So happy I got it right.

Agree that loml on the piano would be beautiful but I doubt she would do that because of the subject matter. My guess on what she would include: Fortnight, My Boy Only Breaks His Fav Toys, Down Bad, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart and Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me.

Notice how every song that is last during an era(the archer, cardigan, delicate, long live, ATW, champagne problems) is just her without the backup dancers. Im pretty sure these songs give them time to change, making those songs kinda uncuttable.

Honestly you were a lot less brutal with the cuts than I were expecting you to be lol you realize the theatrically of the performances and what’s important for the narrative of the show (even if you have to cut a favorite like mastermind) once again the the swiftologist doesn’t miss!!

I don't think she should cut off songs like tlgad and vigilante shit and cardigan and champagne problems. Remember that so many people still haven't seen the Eras Tour live and some of you already have which is why it might feel like too much and too old ... what feels old are some Red and 1989 songs that make about 23 min and that were already seen live many times. Now, these could def be cut off. Also remember some fans who still havent seen it live really want to see those songs live, mostly as folklore and evermore stans - stans of her more recent and previously non-performed albums. Still, I really love most of your ideas and I hope they'll come to reality ❤.

I have a great idea if she has 4 songs on each set thats 44 songs plus 2 suprise songs is 46 songs which is only like 10 minutes longer then the actual show. Plus 2 more speak now songs and 1 more fearless!
