Magic Mountain Roaring Rapids Construction 1980

This video was taken during the construction of the Roaring Rapids ride at Magic Mountain Amusement Park in Valencia California in 1980. Many shots taken from the Sky Tower. Note the Jet Stream was closed to put the new midway under the flume at 0:26 and see the very tall oil well pipe that was excavated around at 1:44.

ANYONE REMEMBER CONDOR, ZFORCE N SPINOUT? in the flashback Ara around free fall, then vacation made its ending there w wolly world lol jet stream was removed by that stupid huge loop ride, I remember gold rush was a waste too

+Frazette Brown No, this is the construction of Roaring Rapids. They shut down the Jet Stream ride during the construction of Roaring Rapids to build the walk way that now goes behind the south side of the Sky Tower to link the front and back sides of the park. Jet Stream was built in 1972 long before portable video tape recorders like the one used to record this video came to be. Note the photos of the south side of the park where they are moving the dirt to build Roaring Rapids.
