This is the story of Canadian W.W.II war hero Andrew Mynarski, who died trying to save the life of his fellow crew mate in a Lancaster bomber. It was made by the CBC around 2010. I could not find it anywhere on the internet so I decided to put this vhs copy I had on youtube in hopes the CBC will post a better copy of this very good tribute and story of war hero Mr Mynarski.
Andrew Mynarski would have been my Uncle had he survived the war. He was engaged to my Aunt, Victoria Safian of 407 Carinsmore St in Winnipeg Manatoba. I first learned about Andrew at the age of 12 years of age when a story about him was published in the Readers Digest in December of 1965.

My mother Kathrine Safian told me about Andrew and told me a story about Pat Brophy. My mother was there when Pat came to the house to see her sister Victoria when he came back into the country from Europe. Pat came to visit my Aunt Victoria to tell her about what had happened to Andrew and how Andrew tried to save him. My mother said that Pat had a streak of white in his hair. This was due to the fright stress he went through going down in the plane. There are many stories on the internet and videos on Andrew Mynarski on UA-cam. There was another very nice documentary called " As Close as Brothers" made by Timeline around 2012.
My mother lost her first husband Harry Moroz He died in a Lancaster as it was shot down over Frankfurt Germany in 1944.
My Uncle Adam Safian, also in a Lancaster Bomber, survived over 28 missions over Germany.
